i think ive had it for YEARS!

So I put a post talking about how my sifnificant other cheated and now I have blisters... after reading more info (didn't realize when I posted some people have it with no symptoms forever)... I believe I have had it since 2004 possibly, for sure since 2006! I had an experience in 04 where I thought I had a yeast infection and if I kept down there clean (using moist towelettes it was managable). A few years later I had a few times where the same thing happened but it was worse and I had to bath for it to managable then I started using otc topical creme for yeast infections but was using a tube I a day of max strength. Went to the dr and he said i used too much of the creme and it caused my skin to be super irritated. It hurt so bad I never had sex or wanted to. Not sure exactly when bc life is chaotic beyond belief but w/ in the past few months I had another bad yi so I thought and had to use a lot of thw otc creme but I had sex (was under thd influence of drugs and w my aignificant other who knew I was having issues down there and didn't care, no pritection). Well tonight I see I have blisters. I have been reading and I'm really thinking I have had it this whole time. My signifacant other has given me at least 1 std from cheating on me and getting tested tomorrow to see what else I may have... but now I'm thinking I'm the culperate w/ this one. He has not complained about anything being wrong but sort of remember once he had a rash type thing but we thought it was caused by sex but that was a while ago before i possiblely had an outbreak and we had unprotected sex. I now have blisters. We have been having protected sex since I found out about the cheating. I am in shock. I am not sure what to think! If he gave it to me I can handle that bc I can't get rid of it and we both have it... if I have it and he doesn't.... I'm sure hell leave me. I am going to tell him once I know and won't have sex w/ him until I know... I just don't know what to think!!!

Thank you for posting this. Your the only one on here that sounds like me

(not the heartbreak stuff. By the way he sounds like a dick)

but how your hpsv presented. I had a yeast infection two weeks after drunk unsafe sex. Never had one before.

14months later (after not having had sex for about 4months) a bad flu, a really bad yeast infection that wouldn't go away no matter what, and then a wee little very painful blister got tested and I have it. Its been 5months now still have that "yeast infection' No OB and antivirals didn't help with the YI. So I thinking I'm going to be leaking and loveless the rest of my life.

Oh and I really think you should leave him

see, this is what I'm talking about...after thinking about this stupid virus so much, I can say that Iknow I was exposed to it with my ex husband since2003..see, in other countries people find the fever blisters to be a normal thing, a kind of alergy per say.. here in us its where it gets blown out of proportion enough to have some suicide cases attached to it.. but anyways.. he passed away in 2009..but I know he had it, his mom has it too.. now I'm going trough a very stressful time in my life.. maybe that triggered it to my first ob at the end of october.. now what I'm not so sure it was all him.. I was diagnosted with both strands so maybe the ghsv woke the other one up?.. I don't know anymore, but However it was I have them already... I just hope my antibodies keep them on the zzzz.. still learning how to manage myself..

Ok. That's true. I would def. use protection but i was just thinking I should say something. I haven't made an decisions yet so nothing has happened. And also thanks for your response.

Im thinking alot of one night stands are usually ppl you dont know. So i assume alot of ppl take the risk and have protected sex or even unprotected sex knowing they will never see thst person ever again. Especially if the transmission rate is low while using protection

I mean by that same logic anybody would be crazy to have sex with us ever  lol ppl we end up in relationships with are at risk the most aren't they? Since that would mean regular sex...  I'm asking to see if anybody has ACTUALLY disclosed to a one night stand because I've read on other sites that ppl have done it but most are blogs like the one here https://www.emilydepasse.com/eldsoul/2018/3/25/ask-emily-dating-with-herpes where basically the writer is responding to a question vs me actually having the ability to talk to the person who actually has the experience

http://www.eligiblemagazine.com/2013/03/14/lube-up-with-coconut-oil/ https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/10813049 https://www.drgonzalezmd.com/avoid-secondary-herpes-infections-with-coconut-oil/   Coconut Oil has been shown to contain alot of antiviral properties. Herpes simply cannot survive in it, however I'm curious at how effective it is at preventing herpes transmission during sex, and if it'd make you near invincible. Herpes during sex is transmitted through skin to skin friction which coconut oil significant reduces.  Also if the virus were to leave the carrier's body it would get caught up in the layer of oil and killed. But how fast? Also, The lube drys out as you rub against each other, so you'd have to keep re-applying every so often.   Depending on the intensity of the sex, the coconut oil will get thoroughly rubbed into the persons skin layers, which'd mean the virus undoubtedly be on the persons skin and flesh. But, Theoretically, The virus should be dead/inactive due to being surrounded by the anti viral coconut oil, so it wouldn't even be able to crawl into their body to infect.   We need to get a bunch of lab mice or monkey, Infect 2 with herpes (Control and Test groups) , cover the test group in coconut oil, and let them have sex. If the test group shows less herpes transmission rates than that means that Coconut oil decreases STD TRANSMISSION!   Why hasn't this been done yet? Even if it didn't reduce transmission by 100%, 50% would lower std rates significantly.
