Have any of you guys ever experianced just a reddening of the skin for outbreaks, especially for your first out break...??? In other words, no itching, no lessons, no blisters, no bumps, no pain or anything like that yet you were tested positive for the herpes virus??? I'm still having an extremly strange situation here and maybe someone can help me because I've yet to find any info on this.... I've now gone to several doctors, all of which told me I didn't have herpes, I had 1 STD test done and the doctor there told me that it was safe to say I'd be ok after a visual examination... I'm sure some of you already know my story about sleeping with a girl on Sept 1st... I'm still worried because this rash/reddening started a couple days after I had slept with this girl (one night stand) and I still to this day have this friggin rash/reddening on the head of my penis and just a little below... I guess my question is have any of you ever experianced such sympthoms??? What could be happening to me...??? An outbreak that lasts one month and no sign for an end has got me worried... I've even had a flu this month which lowered my immune system but the reddening/rash still wasn't affected.... Please someone give me some input....

THANKS

RICH

I had the redness you are describing.

Never been sick, or anything, and no reoccurances. I want to get a blood test specifically for herpes just to be sure.

I did the normal STD test, HIV test. All clear for chlamydia, gonorrhea, Hepatities, syphilis, HIV... all were negative.

I have no fatigue like you decribed.... I also heard you can't concentrate... Thats because your only getting 2 - 3 hours of sleep because your so worried... Been there dont that aswell...

how long have you had the reddening? from what I understand, a typical outbreak lasts 1-2 weeks, so if it's lasted longer than that, maybe it's just jock itch.,

sorry, but i haven't read youre earlier posting. beyond the fact that it was a one night stand, why do you think you have herpes or came into contact with it?

Unfortunately, I don't think anyone can give you the definitive answer you want.. or at least not yet. I know how much that sucks as I was in the same position a year ago... and am somewhat in the same position now (as I'm not sure if I only have contracted it orally or have contracted it genitally as well (though in 18 months I've never seen anything genitally.).

While it wont help you much, if you're really that worried, you can take the new blood test to be sure, though you'll have to wait 4-5 months to as it wont be accurate unless you wait that long. If you do that, make sure you test for both type I and type II, though.

In the meantime, relax. It's not a life threatening disease. It's a skin condition. Probably the worst aspect to it is the fear of the social stigma.. and the fear that you'll never get laid again. If it makes you feel any better, there is a new vaccine for women (only for women), so if you do end up contracting it, your potential future partners (assuming you're straight) can protect themselves.

It just means that one night stands are out of the picture for you. Well, hopefully, are out of the picture unless you want to be a jerk about it.

while its not the answer you want, I hope this helps,

Peter

Don't Worry

I'm sure many of you are readings these posts looking for hope that you don't have Herpes. I had a big scare about 6 days ago and spent about 6 straight hours reading everything I could on Herpes. I Went to the doctor and she told me I was first crazy and not to read to much on the internet. I tested negative for all STds.

The end of my penis was sore and had a slight rash. The rash was caused by the condom which is very common. She told me the herpes virus is very aggressive and will show up as blisters in most cases.

Hey @Zrozpaczona9 that looks like folliculitis to me, that’s independent of the question of herpes. The doctor is wrong in the sense that a negative IgG test is beyond reasonable doubt that you do not have herpes. It is a small percentage of people for which a false negative occurs. The doctor is right to take a swab to increase your confidence that there’s no herpes present. I’m sure you’ll have your result soon.

In this forum we will discuss does lume work Lume is paraben-free and uses several natural ingredients like Aloe barbadensis leaf juice, tapioca starch, and Maranta arundinacea root powder (also known as arrowroot powder) to control odor and sweat. One of the key Lume deodorant ingredients is mandelic acid, an AHA found in skin care products, which also has an antibacterial effect.

Ibuprofen medicine is a painkiller. Can you take ibuprofen on an empty stomach  Some people take medicine empty stomach which is not good for our health. Because painkiller kind of medicine is very strong and can harm your liver. Medicine makes many strong ingredients. like Lactose, corn starch, hypromellose, sodium starch glycolate, colloidal anhydrous silica, magnesium stearate, sucrose, talc, titanium dioxide (E171), and carnauba wax.

Never had a history of Oral cold sores before, but have dated someone with them.  Thats very interesting about the test. This was my first full panel.  The large bumps have recently show up, its been about a few weeks when I noticed them. Again no pain nor fluids from them.
