i had a boyfriend for two years and we recently broke up. so i went on my rebound and stupidly i had sex with a guy i only knew for a little while. well i noticed a blister type sore, but it is closer to my hip than my vagina. it is itchy and it looks like a popped blister that has healed. am i being paranoid or do i have herpes? are herpes supposed to be around the lip area of the vagina?please help me i am really really stressing!!

Herpes can affect all types of areas on your body depending on what type of herpes strain you've caught... It is quite common for females to have sores appear in other places besides just the vagina... Genital herpes could appear on the thighs for example... If you kiss him, and hes in the middle of an outbreak on his lip you have a good chance of catching that shit from him... SKIN to SKIN... Keep in mind that there is a differance between a coldsore and the herpes virus on the lips...

Cold sore kissing

I kissed a guy recently that had a cold sore on top of his lip. If I didn't make out just a peck on the lips. I now have a small white spot (a little sore). I am wondering could it be herpes? can I catch it on my gums if I kissed him that way on his mouth? or am I being paranoid???

Hi @WhatDidIDo2023, hopefully all is well with you and your significant other and are still together.   Did she develop any other symptoms after you mentioned her getting itchiness? Was it determined what you had was contagious? Most likely developed a fungal disease and caused her a yeast or uti

Hi @Luna 01 I really feel it is worthwhile obtaining a proper Herpeselect test given the outcomes of the home panel test. Regardless, your current symptoms are almost certainly not related to herpes. Hopefully, your doctor can assist in resolving these.
