Question about symptoms

distraught

Recommended Posts

Hello,

First, thanks for looking over my post.

I am a male.

I don't need to say how I feel, I think you most of you know already.

I have not had any sexual contact whatsoever in over 2 years. About a week ago I noticed a couple of clear liquid filled bumps on my penis shaft and then swelling in my groin. The few bumps that appeared are now scabbed but it has a significant red swollen bump around where they were. My groin area on the right side is significantly swollen and sore.

I don't know what to think, these things started showing up for the first time ever about last Wednesday, like I said I haven't even had any sexual contact with anyone in over 2 years, not even a kiss and now this happens.

I made a few bad choices in relationships years ago and have been abstaining from sex so that if I would ever meet someone again I could possibly share that special God given gift with her as purely as I could.

I haven't seen a doctor yet. I don't know what to think.

My diagnosis has come from reading on-line and it appears my symptoms match exactly with herpes. Two years without any sexual contact and then this shows up, is this normal?

Thanks for making it to this part of my letter.

distraught.

Was the layer covering the fluid weak? Like, if you took a shower did the liquid come out and then it look like blisters? If so, then good chance it could be herpes.

If it is herpes I guess it's possible that it could have laid dormant in your system over time then something triggered it. I get swelling in the groin pretty bad and I do get weak puss pockets but I think they were more white.

If it's scabbed over already it might be pointless to get a swab test done and there's all kinds of weird things about blood tests.

I still don't know that much about herpes since I just recently found out I have it but I can wish you good luck :).

Thanks for your time in your reply.

Yes, they broke easily. Now there is small scabs and a swollen red bump.

I don't know what could have triggered it, because nothing out of the ordinary has happened. I jog on average about 6-7 miles a week and lift weights 2-3 times a week and have been doing so for the past year or so. I am in the best physical condition I possibly have ever been.

I guess I just have to accept it. I can't even possibly think that I could ever enter into a relationship with someone again. I know I would never ever take a chance at exposing someone to this. I am a single father with sole custody and my children do fulfill me only slightly less than my relationship with Jesus Christ. I wish would have started this abstinence thing long before.

Hello,

I'm sorry to hear about your situation and wish I had better advise to give you. I think that even though the bumps have scabbed over you should still go to a doctor to get tested for everything else to at least rule those out. There are a few STDs that have bumps like herpes as a symptom that need to get taken care of as soon as you can like syphilis. If it is something else then you can get that taken care of. If it turns out not to be one of the other STDs then you can talk to your doctor about the posibility of herpes. At least you can rule the other posibilites out which are more serious diseases as far as your physical health.

Emotional health is another issue. I am new to all of this and was just recently diagnosed last week. I'm still coming to terms with it. I tell myself it is going to be okay, but I as of yet am not sure I believe it. I do feel better though at least knowing it is something that won't kill me. I wish you the best and hope it turns out to be something else that you can treat.

Hi...

I found out about three weeks ago now. It's been almost three years since I've been in a sexual relationship. I don't know how long I've had HSV2 because I never had any symptoms. Before that I was in a relationship for 6 years. I'm now a single mom with three kids and cooties

You need to see your doctor and get a blood test for herpes so you are positive. No matter how much you read, that's not a propper diagnosis. There are drugs that can supress outbreaks if they start to get bad for you too and you will need a diagnois for that.

Good luck, I feel your pain :(

To give some context I hve been suffering with this for the last 6/7 years this came about after I had varicella zoster on the inside of my body a week after I started getting clusters of spots on the top of my buttock they are not painful as such can be itchy at times but majority of the time I don’t feel it when I have an outbreak. I’ve been to various doctors who say it’s a fungal skin infection or a bacterial skin infection. I’ve asked if it’s herpes but they will say it’s not without even testing it.

Hello there @momma267 and welcome. There is no reason to believe that what you have there is other than a pressure sore, something that has emerged from rubbing with clothing or butt cheeks and exacerbated by bacteria or yeast.  Note that the first you’d learn of herpes is unlikely to be on your butt, instead where it enters your body, this is usually within the vaginal lips for females.

So to begin with, I am 26 and have been with the same partner for 8 years. I have only been with three people ever, one completely protected and the other we were both our firsts. I got this rash on my but while pregnant and my doctor said she was testing for it and I'm so confused. I've had two babies, breastfeed, and never had anything as much as a cold sore. Does this look like something anyone has experienced? I used fragrant soap down there and am hoping it's contact dermatitis or a heat rash from sweating and gaining so much weight.  Advice would be helpful. I'm stressing out a bit as I am pregnant. Hi, it is me again, apologies for the recent influx of posts. I've noticed a slightly raised area on the middle of my top lip with what i feel are some bumps. i do have a habit of biting my lips a fair bit and this area is frequented by my teeth. I haven't noticed any unusual/abnormal tingling or burning or pain sensations. the photos are a bit difficult to focus on them but do these seem like the start of cold sores? note: I will be visiting the drs for an std checkup in the coming week. https://imgur.com/gallery/YLVA5us
