hi ive had this problem for about 7 months now, 2 days before the symtoms started i received unprotected oral sex, it was a 1 night stand and ive never seen her again .i have burning in the genitals and the urethra, i also have a what looks like a sore on the inside of my penis right below the opening it sort of resembles a blister it looks like its purple green and black.the first doctor i seen did a culture on it and everything came back negative, so i went to the health department and they tested for all stds exept for herpes and that all came back negative. last week i went to see a urologist and he is treating me for trech but the medication dosent seem to be working, so he sent me for a blood test to see if herpes is present, ive heard that herpes comes and goes, is it posible that i could having symptoms of herpes for this long of a period.or does it sound like something else.i should be getting results back in 5 days.

THANK GOD,i got my herpes test back today and it was negative.still dont know what is wrong with me though, the doctor prescribed me a stronger medication.ill stay in touch. good luck everyone and god bless you all.

well the doctor gave me levaquin which is supposed to cure all curable std's and it didnt work, so either the herpes test was wrong or this condition is something else. i have another doctors appointment on 11/03 ill wright back then and let everyone know what the tell me.

well i went back to see the doc a couple of days ago and hes really not sure what it is, he gave me a cream to rub on the tip of my penis, because its been a little red for the past couple of months, im supposed to see him in december again, im not sure what to do now, please i really could use some advise, that a long time to wait when i know the cream isnt going to do anything.

Try not to think about it.

I know that is easier said than done but that is what you need to try and do. Let the medicine do its thing.

well symptoms are still there around the opening of my penis is still red and inside the opening looks like a small sore its going on 9 months now.im supposed to go back to the doc next week but im considering mabe finding another doc hes the 4th one already.richard if you read this please respond with your opinion

doctors!

Hi. Hopefully you don't have herpes. But, my fiancee' and I were both misdiagnosed numerous times. Sometimes they can swab a broken blister and it comes back negitive if there isn't any fluid. I don't know why, but it's been our experience that doctors will suggest some obscure condition before identifying herpes. A blood test is the best way to find out if herpes is in your system, I believe.

      Hi @WhatDidIDo2023, hopefully all is well with you and your significant other and are still together.   Did she develop any other symptoms after you mentioned her getting itchiness? Was it determined what you had was contagious? Most likely developed a fungal disease and caused her a yeast or uti

      Been a few weeks it went away but reappeared again tiny red marks not raised spots or anything no pain or itching ,I have had all negative tests on Sti's ..

      Hi @Luna 01 I really feel it is worthwhile obtaining a proper Herpeselect test given the outcomes of the home panel test. Regardless, your current symptoms are almost certainly not related to herpes. Hopefully, your doctor can assist in resolving these.
