Inital outbreaks??

I've posted just a few times on here and I've posted about how I found out I had herpes.. But, just because I was diagnosed with herpes just now doesn't mean it was my initial ob, right? What if I've had milder ones throughout the years and have never known? I mean, I am hoping that I have had this virus since either before or when I had sexual contact with my husband (first sexual contact 11 years ago). I guess I keep "FREAKING OUT" still because when people say "initial" it makes me think that I just got herpes and that it is from him cheating. I guess it would help knowing more women out there that really believe that they have had it for years and didn't just get it recently. Does this make sense? I am trying to get on with my life and everytime I think I'm on the track, I read something else and think.. "Maybe he did cheat". He's not the type and I do trust him but darn this sucks!!

Also are there many people on here who have mild outbreaks that are far apart? I believe I am having one now, just finished my three day supply of valtrex. I have minor itching but a decent amount of clear/white discharge. Sometimes it has a foul smell too. TMI I know but I can take a shower in the morning and it smells again by afternoon. Anyonelse have this problem?

I personally don't know how YOU WOULDN'T know if you had your initial outbreak or not.

Mine is what made me go to the doctor in 1991!

I had, I'd say 8-10 cuts on my outer labia and my vaginal opening. These cuts hurt like hell. When I peed, I screamed. They burned also. (still do) and it itches ALOT in the 'zone' I am GOING to get an o/b. Sex is out of the question if it is to close to my vaginal opening.

AFter 1 mth. or during that month of having sex w/my boyfriend..I KNEW I had something terrible.

But it took my husband more than 2 YEARS to have his first outbreak.

I know he had it from day 1 of having sex w/me..and he would say his balls itched too much...which was probably shedding..BUT he never had his first o/b till a little over 2 years later!

So it CAN happen. I just wasn't that fortunate.

As for the smell...I get more 'wet' during an o/b or leading UP TO an o/b..but it doesn't smell and it isn't colored.

BTW: if you have genital herpes...YOU are very PRONE to bacterial infections. I get them quite regularly and seen a specialist.

NOW THOSE do acquire a smell and grayish discharge...so u may wanna go get tested...

that is NOT an STD...it is just a vaginal infection..and those having herpes are just more prone to it.

So to begin with, I am 26 and have been with the same partner for 8 years. I have only been with three people ever, one completely protected and the other we were both our firsts. I got this rash on my but while pregnant and my doctor said she was testing for it and I'm so confused. I've had two babies, breastfeed, and never had anything as much as a cold sore. Does this look like something anyone has experienced? I used fragrant soap down there and am hoping it's contact dermatitis or a heat rash from sweating and gaining so much weight.  Advice would be helpful. I'm stressing out a bit as I am pregnant. Hi, it is me again, apologies for the recent influx of posts. I've noticed a slightly raised area on the middle of my top lip with what i feel are some bumps. i do have a habit of biting my lips a fair bit and this area is frequented by my teeth. I haven't noticed any unusual/abnormal tingling or burning or pain sensations. the photos are a bit difficult to focus on them but do these seem like the start of cold sores? note: I will be visiting the drs for an std checkup in the coming week. https://imgur.com/gallery/YLVA5us

To give everyone confidence that it wasn’t herpes related and conclude as the doctor did that it was a dermatitis issue to refer back to the dermatologist to continue with investigations.

Both a dermatologist and infectious disease doctor prescribed him HSV medicine. Why would they do that if this isnt "what herpes really does"?
