cannabis oil and other oils

Recommended Posts

i used to mass produce cannabis oil as i was a grower and well i had a genital out break and being wasted thought what the hell and rubbed some on my junk.i was worried it might rub off so i coverd with a bandaid for about a week.

15 years now and no more out breaks although i get cold sores on my lip still.

Did some re search and found out that thc lowers imunities so i ,m sorta wondering if its some thing else thats benificial about oils as peppermint ,orogano etc oilks are made the same way as i made mine.

After researching how the oils work, apparantly it affects the skin and stops replication of the virus and eventually the ganglia runs out so to speak.

Was wondering if anyone has had a similer experiance or has any thoughts on the matter.

Also is there a spell check,i cant seem to find it lol.

Interesting idea.

There isn't a spell check - wish there was lol. The only way to do it is to write your post in Word or another spell checking programme and then copy and paste.

I believe you 100%. Cannabis oil has also shown amazing affects for treating skin cancers. I've been thinking about trying this for my own herpes and was surprised to find someone else on this forum thinking about it! Good post!

Hey Wizard, have you been tested recently?do you think that you were cured or it just sent it into hiding or whatever? Did you strain your tinksure before you used it or do you think that matters? I have soooo many questions about this for you!

Yes I strained it.I have been informed that I can not make any statements saying that I have been cured unless I can prove one way or another and as the antibodies will stay in my system a blood test wont work and I have no more lesions to swab. Here is a possible explanation.http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/3018134

This study was undertaken to determine the effect of micromolar concentrations of delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (Delta-9-THC) on herpes simplex virus type 2 (HSV-2) replication in vitro. Virus-infected Vero cells pretreated for 24 h with 10(-5) M- or 10(-6) M-Delta-9-THC yielded 100-fold increases in infectious extracellular virus. Transmission electron microscopy of drug-treated cells revealed plasma membrane dissolution, distension of the smooth and rough endoplasmic reticulum, and the appearance of macrovacuoles in the cytoplasm containing aggregates of virus. These results suggest that Delta-9-THC enhances the release of HSV-2 by perturbing cellular membranes in virus-infected cells.

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/6255077

Both herpes simplex virus type 1 (HSV-1) and herpes simplex virus type 2 (HSV-2) failed, in an identical fashion to replicate and produce extensive c.p.e. in human cell monolayer cultures which were exposed (8 h before infection, at infection, or 8 h p.i.) to various concentrations of delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol. Similar results were obtained with a plaque assay utilizing confluent monkey cells. Possible mechanisms for this antiviral activity are discussed.

It says further on that a topical treatment would be neccessary.I think that its possible that the infected cells released all the virus and then they could not replicate.

Working for me!

So I stated to do this and I have had pretty good results. I have been having pretty constant outbreaks since I was diagnosed about a month and a half ago. They acyclovir cream help, but the valtrex pills didn't do much for me. This has really helped my outbreaks. I start applying my oil as soon as I have a sign of an outbreak and apply it to the area once or twice a day, My blisters didn't even pop and they kinda just faded away. I like that it's natural anyway so I will continue to use this method, and maybe they will never come back! I will update you all later, but I'm really liking this!

So you just take that blackish/yellowish oil and put it on yyour genital? Do you HAVE to be having an outbreak for this to work or?

Hi WhataChick,As far as I can tell from research you must apply to an ob for it to work.It kills the virus by stopping replication and I think the only way to get to the virus is if it is present and trying to replicate.I have posted the research on the previous page.As you appear to be lucky enough not to have recurrent obs it would be hard to say if it worked or not and in your case I would say if it aint broke dont try and fix it untill a proven cure is availiable.Perhaps you have been vaccinated for chicken pox ? and you had vzv antibodies present already which recent research has shown to be helpfull, but this is unproven as yet and remains a touchy subject.

I,m not saying the oil doesn't work, but it is unproved untill someone else with recurrent obs has tried it and it worked.

Well ,if you google hash oil there's rather a lot of information about how to make it.As to how to get it,Ask a Mexican drug lord, lol.Seriously I don't know how the American pot smoking scene operates.I'm a bit worried that if I say how to make it on this web site it could be taken as innapropiate.Sorry about my poor spelling and sorry I cant help you more with your questions.I just thought that logistically someone with herpes would have access to to marijuana and alcohol or methylated spirits.

how long after you started using the oil did you notice that they stopped appearing? Did you do that every day till it stopped? And how long now have you been w/out an outbreak?

I had about 6 outbreaks a year in the same area from age 20 to 30 and it was always linked to emotional distress.I left the oil on the outbreak for about a week {covered with a band-aid]and the sores were gone when I removed the band -aid.It was 15 to 20 years ago and I haven't had a genital out break since.I only joined this website as I got several cold sores[lip] last year after sun exposure.I was in a new country and didn't want to risk breaking the law so treated with a tea bag instead. After searching on the net I noticed that someone has made a tincture and treated cold sores some years ago.The difference with the product is a tincture is diluted in alcohol and pure oil has had the alcohol evaporated.

Okay, my husband has been using the hash oil for about a week now, when he started noticing that there were white spots where the outbreak used to be. Is that normal?

my husband have been doing this for about three weeks now, the spots aren't big, but they are not scars either. Do you have to leave it on for a full week? Because he just leaves it on for a day to shower then replace the oil and wrap. He uses Hash oil, tincture, and coconut oil/hash oil mix.

I just left it for a week as that was enough for the out break to clear up.If your husband is no longer having an out break it seems a little pointless .If the potion was replaced after a shower it would be the same as leaving it on .If I were you I would leave it for a while and if there is another ob then reapply.3 weeks seems a little extreme and the thc should have done its job by now.If you are worried about the spots, which sounds to me like a change in pigmentation perhaps, but as i,m not able to see them I can't say for sure,I would advise you to consult a doctor who should be able to put your mind at ease. There are a few things that can look like herpes and are commonly misdiagnosed by the person at home and a sure sign of this, is it lasts for more than a couple of weeks.

A classic example being Lichen sclerosus.http://www.niams.nih.gov/Health_Info/Lichen_Sclerosus/

Not sure if I'm allowed to post this but, I've actually been looking into extracting some THC oil (BHO) myself and making a transdermal lotion of sorts. I've been searching for anyone that has mixed THC with DMSO to improve absortion, but only found one instance where the individual used too much DMSO and ended up with chemical burns. :/

So... I guess my real question is: what is the advisable amount of DMSO to use when creating a transdermal lotion for HSV? In other words, what's the most you should use at one time without risking chemical burns...

Anyone with any input on this feel free to chime in as I feel this HSV treatment option deserves more discussion than it is currently being given.

On a side note, I found this recipe which seems to be absorbed fairly well (the lotion version of the recipe) so maybe DMSO isn't our only option for optimal THC delivery.

Again, sorry if this isn't allowed. :)

So the hsv2 did not show up on the blood test, only the hsv 1, I never get cold sores so I would imagine I have been a carrier for a while. I saw two Doctors and both thought it was a yeast infection but the meds did not work so I asked about the blood work and swab culture for herpes. I never had blisters, just painful concave sores and lots of swelling and pain. What is PCR? I think it was a swab culture but I have not seen my lab results yet.  I have been in a relationship for the last  14 weeks, we used condoms at first but stopped awhile ago.  I did have unprotected sex accidentally with someone the week before that so 15 weeks ago. It was casual and I'm not really sure how to even get a hold of him.  So it is possible the exposure could have come from him. My current boyfriend has only had one other sexual partner in the last year. I have no idea where this came from. Thank you for your response. I will deffinitely check out the forums on natural things I can do.

I wouldn't jump to conclusions but herpes is a posibility. Herpes cannot be positively diagnosed visually. There are othwr condition that produce similar symptoms. Go to the Doctor and have tje blisters swabbws within 48 hrs. If they dry up and you swab you may get a false negative. Take a  blood test in 12 weeks

Wow, sorry this sounds pretty crappy. I too have been recently seen because of an outbreak. I wouldn't care abo It having this but, my love of my life was gone for 6 months and  now wants me back. What do i do?? Don't know what to say to tell him. Will go on supporessincd therapy.  To be honest. Sounds like he has something anyway. The o.b doesn't have to present. Some may not have an o.b because they have a good immune system. I am proud of you for getting tested to begin with. He may be positive and  may never test for fear of the knowing he has it. The tingling in the face is yes shedding. I get that and then get one on my nose. It sucks. Sorry to hear about your problem with all this. I am here to listen. I am deeply depressed and at a major low but, talking to many here will help.

Yes they are likely herpes, go see a doctor.

No, no oral. I kissed him, gave him oral and grinded on his part. The Dr swabbed my cervix, not the sores. I had a bad burning sensation, red area, and then i got red pimple like sores That popped up on the 11th the pain and itch are finally going away. I have been on acyclovir 400 mg 3 times a day since the 11th.  I had my rectal Area a few days ago pop up with a bunch of white pustukes that hurt like hell. He had a cut on his lip which I  now think he was having an outbreak.

The positive hsv1 blood test means you probably have oral hsv1 from childhood. Do you know what the value was for the blood test for hsv2? The positive swab may mean you recently got infected with hsv2. What kind of swab was it? culture or PCR? What symptoms did you have that was swabbed? Do you have any estimate of when you would have been exposed with the virus? any days when you had a new partner or unprotected sex? You might want to wait at least 12 weeks, ideally 16 weeks (and in rare cases up to 24 weeks) to get another IgG blood test done for confirmation about hsv2. In the meanwhile, if it is definitely hsv2, you're right, valtrex is most effective if taken as soon as symptoms start, no more than a day after symptoms start. Your body will adjust with time and you will likely not need to take it all your life, although that are people who take valtrex daily and do just fine. It all depends on how well your immune system can keep the virus in check. Do you ever get cold sores on your lips? If you don't, inspite of having oral hsv1, your immune system has learnt to keep hsv1 in check, and will eventually learn to do the same for hsv2. There are many natural alternatives, please read through the natural remedies section on this forum, it's a good place to start. No 2 people are same when it comes to natural remedies (or even valtrex for that matter) so you'll need to experiment and see what works best for you. By the way, the fist outbreak is the worst, so it's possible you may not even have another outbreak or may have outbreaks very rarely. The first year is usually the most outbreaks. Good luck, and let us know if you have more questions.
