cannabis oil and other oils

46 posts in this topic

i used to mass produce cannabis oil as i was a grower and well i had a genital out break and being wasted thought what the hell and rubbed some on my junk.i was worried it might rub off so i coverd with a bandaid for about a week.

15 years now and no more out breaks although i get cold sores on my lip still.

Did some re search and found out that thc lowers imunities so i ,m sorta wondering if its some thing else thats benificial about oils as peppermint ,orogano etc oilks are made the same way as i made mine.

After researching how the oils work, apparantly it affects the skin and stops replication of the virus and eventually the ganglia runs out so to speak.

Was wondering if anyone has had a similer experiance or has any thoughts on the matter.

Also is there a spell check,i cant seem to find it lol.

Interesting idea.

There isn't a spell check - wish there was lol. The only way to do it is to write your post in Word or another spell checking programme and then copy and paste.

I believe you 100%. Cannabis oil has also shown amazing affects for treating skin cancers. I've been thinking about trying this for my own herpes and was surprised to find someone else on this forum thinking about it! Good post!

Hey Wizard, have you been tested recently?do you think that you were cured or it just sent it into hiding or whatever? Did you strain your tinksure before you used it or do you think that matters? I have soooo many questions about this for you!

Yes I strained it.I have been informed that I can not make any statements saying that I have been cured unless I can prove one way or another and as the antibodies will stay in my system a blood test wont work and I have no more lesions to swab. Here is a possible explanation.http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/3018134

This study was undertaken to determine the effect of micromolar concentrations of delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (Delta-9-THC) on herpes simplex virus type 2 (HSV-2) replication in vitro. Virus-infected Vero cells pretreated for 24 h with 10(-5) M- or 10(-6) M-Delta-9-THC yielded 100-fold increases in infectious extracellular virus. Transmission electron microscopy of drug-treated cells revealed plasma membrane dissolution, distension of the smooth and rough endoplasmic reticulum, and the appearance of macrovacuoles in the cytoplasm containing aggregates of virus. These results suggest that Delta-9-THC enhances the release of HSV-2 by perturbing cellular membranes in virus-infected cells.

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/6255077

Both herpes simplex virus type 1 (HSV-1) and herpes simplex virus type 2 (HSV-2) failed, in an identical fashion to replicate and produce extensive c.p.e. in human cell monolayer cultures which were exposed (8 h before infection, at infection, or 8 h p.i.) to various concentrations of delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol. Similar results were obtained with a plaque assay utilizing confluent monkey cells. Possible mechanisms for this antiviral activity are discussed.

It says further on that a topical treatment would be neccessary.I think that its possible that the infected cells released all the virus and then they could not replicate.

Working for me!

So I stated to do this and I have had pretty good results. I have been having pretty constant outbreaks since I was diagnosed about a month and a half ago. They acyclovir cream help, but the valtrex pills didn't do much for me. This has really helped my outbreaks. I start applying my oil as soon as I have a sign of an outbreak and apply it to the area once or twice a day, My blisters didn't even pop and they kinda just faded away. I like that it's natural anyway so I will continue to use this method, and maybe they will never come back! I will update you all later, but I'm really liking this!

So you just take that blackish/yellowish oil and put it on yyour genital? Do you HAVE to be having an outbreak for this to work or?

Hi WhataChick,As far as I can tell from research you must apply to an ob for it to work.It kills the virus by stopping replication and I think the only way to get to the virus is if it is present and trying to replicate.I have posted the research on the previous page.As you appear to be lucky enough not to have recurrent obs it would be hard to say if it worked or not and in your case I would say if it aint broke dont try and fix it untill a proven cure is availiable.Perhaps you have been vaccinated for chicken pox ? and you had vzv antibodies present already which recent research has shown to be helpfull, but this is unproven as yet and remains a touchy subject.

I,m not saying the oil doesn't work, but it is unproved untill someone else with recurrent obs has tried it and it worked.

Well ,if you google hash oil there's rather a lot of information about how to make it.As to how to get it,Ask a Mexican drug lord, lol.Seriously I don't know how the American pot smoking scene operates.I'm a bit worried that if I say how to make it on this web site it could be taken as innapropiate.Sorry about my poor spelling and sorry I cant help you more with your questions.I just thought that logistically someone with herpes would have access to to marijuana and alcohol or methylated spirits.

how long after you started using the oil did you notice that they stopped appearing? Did you do that every day till it stopped? And how long now have you been w/out an outbreak?

I had about 6 outbreaks a year in the same area from age 20 to 30 and it was always linked to emotional distress.I left the oil on the outbreak for about a week {covered with a band-aid]and the sores were gone when I removed the band -aid.It was 15 to 20 years ago and I haven't had a genital out break since.I only joined this website as I got several cold sores[lip] last year after sun exposure.I was in a new country and didn't want to risk breaking the law so treated with a tea bag instead. After searching on the net I noticed that someone has made a tincture and treated cold sores some years ago.The difference with the product is a tincture is diluted in alcohol and pure oil has had the alcohol evaporated.

Okay, my husband has been using the hash oil for about a week now, when he started noticing that there were white spots where the outbreak used to be. Is that normal?

my husband have been doing this for about three weeks now, the spots aren't big, but they are not scars either. Do you have to leave it on for a full week? Because he just leaves it on for a day to shower then replace the oil and wrap. He uses Hash oil, tincture, and coconut oil/hash oil mix.

I just left it for a week as that was enough for the out break to clear up.If your husband is no longer having an out break it seems a little pointless .If the potion was replaced after a shower it would be the same as leaving it on .If I were you I would leave it for a while and if there is another ob then reapply.3 weeks seems a little extreme and the thc should have done its job by now.If you are worried about the spots, which sounds to me like a change in pigmentation perhaps, but as i,m not able to see them I can't say for sure,I would advise you to consult a doctor who should be able to put your mind at ease. There are a few things that can look like herpes and are commonly misdiagnosed by the person at home and a sure sign of this, is it lasts for more than a couple of weeks.

A classic example being Lichen sclerosus.http://www.niams.nih.gov/Health_Info/Lichen_Sclerosus/

Not sure if I'm allowed to post this but, I've actually been looking into extracting some THC oil (BHO) myself and making a transdermal lotion of sorts. I've been searching for anyone that has mixed THC with DMSO to improve absortion, but only found one instance where the individual used too much DMSO and ended up with chemical burns. :/

So... I guess my real question is: what is the advisable amount of DMSO to use when creating a transdermal lotion for HSV? In other words, what's the most you should use at one time without risking chemical burns...

Anyone with any input on this feel free to chime in as I feel this HSV treatment option deserves more discussion than it is currently being given.

On a side note, I found this recipe which seems to be absorbed fairly well (the lotion version of the recipe) so maybe DMSO isn't our only option for optimal THC delivery.

Again, sorry if this isn't allowed. :)

I hate to read this. I was just diagnosed last Monday. This past couple of weeks has been hell from the outbreak, finally healed. Would hate to think it will happen again as soon as I'm off antibiotics. Does anyone know if you can get antibiotics from the health department? I have no insurance, was diagnosed at the ER.

@MistressRaina, that was so nice to read. Yesterday was the first day I didn't have an extreme down moment. It was so refreshing! I even told a friend of had it without getting worked up...I had a little liquid courage. But I told her some of the facts and she said oh I had no idea about any of that! And I just want to make sure my friends can learn from my experience. If I can keep them from getting this through what little I know, I'd be so happy. Hoping today is a good day too. So far, it is.  I'm a new event planner and yesterday I planned my first reception following a funeral for 125 people...that made my day! Go figure haha

How can HSV-2 testing not be a standard part of STD testing? That is just insane. I was reading the CDC website as well as various medical websites and their reasoning is absolutely ridiculous. In one breath they claim that it would be too traumatic to the people who get a false positive, and in another, they claim oh its not really a big deal like Chlamydia or other STDs. They also say that there is no evidence that asymptomatic people would change their behavior. What a load of BS. Let me tell you this virus is no joke, I've felt horrible for 2 months. I've been having constant headaches and depression. If someone cares enough to get tested, they deserve to know what they could pass on to sexual partners even if they don't have the symptoms. I, nor she, had any choice in the matter because of idiotic doctors. Do they even care about the spread of this disease? With there being so many asymptomatic carriers, for it not to be a standard part of STD testing (regardless of symptoms being shown) is medical malpractice.

hopefully it will be offered in Singapore/Malaysia region. Any idea if Dr. Halford plan to bring this vaccine to this part of the world?

Immune cells have receptors that go around detecting if cells are of the self or not/foreign/pathogenic.   The HSV membrane has surface proteins that make it difficult for the immune cells to detect. ..until it's too late.   ICP0, and other genes (can't totally remember), code for surface proteins that make the virion slippery (perhaps).   So instead of a teflon coated HSV going around, removing ICP0 makes nicks or open windows on the virion surface for the immune cells to bind to it.     Just like w CRISPR and the whole latency deal, the latent viral DNA is tightly bound up and physically unreachable by the CRISPR.   So ICP0 is one contributing factor in physically evading the immune system's binding/detection of it. Depends on what your standards of a cure are.   Some would say "functional" cure.    ...But I think all these therapeutic vaccines are worthless.   It will be great for some people but others may not have as good of results.   And the person still has HSV, a chronic viral infection.  Only now, they've given their immune system a heads up on what's going on.  But there's still viral DNA producing copies of itself.  AND if the vaccine recipient stays up all night, partying, stresses themselves out --> cortisol levels go up --->cortisol is the antichrist of the immune system and basically shuts it down ----> downregulation of immune system then hsv isn't as suppressed, regardless of whether your body better knows what it looks like. A cure is something that removes the viral DNA along with its influence on the body.  Right now, CRISPR is the only thing that's being studied that can hold the title of 'potential' cure.

My boyfriend recently got his test results that he's hsv1 positive but negative for hsv2. He assumes his ex has hsv2, but he is basing that solely on the fact that it was genital and when he asked her what type it was she told him none of his business since they aren't married anymore.  I got my results today and I'm negative for both hsv1 and hsv2. Is there anyway for us to find out where he has hsv1? He said he's never had any genital symptoms but also doesn't remember ever having a cold sore either  Realized I never finished my question. Is one location easier to spread than the other? I don't know if we should assume he has it both locations and take the necessary precautions? I guess I'm just sad that if we don't know where it is we can't have any sexual contact without protection. He can't perform oral on me or sex without risking giving it to me genitally and I can't give him oral without risking it orally.

Hi, I was recently diagnosed and am going through all the same emotions i see here.  I was married to an individual who suffers from Anti Social personality disorder for 34 years since the age of 17.  Needles to say it was not a walk in the park.  I have had no relations with him since October 2014.  In april/may and june I was intimate with someone i have known for many years, the condom broke.  I started to get symptoms in June and went to GYN thinking it was a yeast infection (I had been taking antibiotics for a sinus infection) I had also gotten a wax 2 days earlier and just thought it was a combination of things.  I was shocked when the doctor said it looked like herpes and he did a swab and blood work (positive), my question is, is there any way to tell if it was a recent infection or something that was dormant?? when i left the psychopath I got tested, didnt know then that Herpes was not part of STD testing. I would really appreciate an input on this, I have my lab test results..which im confused by also hsv 1 igm screen    positive hsv 2 igm screen    positive hsv 1 igm titer         1:20 hsv 2 igm titer          1:80 hsv 1 igg AB herpesselect    1.63 hsv culture     isolated hsv type 2       isolated all my doctor said is you have herpes and gave me a script for valtrex (i know I will be looking for a new GYN) im not sure what type I have...im just confused, can someone please help me with this?

Hell froze over.  Gotta go with Lisa on this.  Let a person make a decision about their health.  The choice I was not given.
    • cantdoit
Does this mean it can possibly be considered a cure?
    • cantdoit
Is it possible that Halford's therapeutic could be considered a cure? Depending on his results, is there any possibility it could reduce shedding enough say 90 percent and eliminate ob's that it could be considerd as such?  I've read where it's been said that he will have the best results.  Thoughts?
