Herpes and the army...

Recommended Posts

I'm almost 18 and will be shipping off for the army in a few months and believe I have herpes. If it turns out to be HSV-2 should I even try to make it through boot camp? I mean with all the symptoms I've been reading about, I don't want to get in and then have to humiliatingly admit it's herpes that slowed me down too much. I'm in very good shape but if the virus settles in my legs or on my spine will it make me too sluggish to fight? Be honest, please.

First off you don't even know if you have herpes... Why do you think you have herpes??? How long have you been thinking you have herpes??? So your shipping off to the army... OK well heres whats going to happen... Within the first 6 - 12 months your going to be going through basic training which is going to be extremly intense... If you do in fact have herpes and you have your first outbreak it will be painful and it will slow you down considerably, the first out break is the worst... People post that they can't even walk in their initial outbreak without using intense painkillers... During your first 6 - 12 months however your going to get into the best shape of your life, both physically and physiologically making an outbreak hard... Your strength will at least tripple TRUST ME, I know alot of ppl that I work out with in the army... I think I'm strong till they start lifting weights beside me and are not even near my size... Your going to have more energy and your immune system will also be stronger then ever... You might want to go get checked at and STD clinic only for a blood test searching for herpes antibodies... The results should ease your thoughts, although they are not accurate 50/50... I think the armies a good idea, keep in mind once you sign up its like a contract...

GOOD LUCK, please let us know your results before and after you come back after your training, maybe I'll use you as an example in my next aritcle...

Hey @Zrozpaczona9 that looks like folliculitis to me, that’s independent of the question of herpes. The doctor is wrong in the sense that a negative IgG test is beyond reasonable doubt that you do not have herpes. It is a small percentage of people for which a false negative occurs. The doctor is right to take a swab to increase your confidence that there’s no herpes present. I’m sure you’ll have your result soon.

In this forum we will discuss does lume work Lume is paraben-free and uses several natural ingredients like Aloe barbadensis leaf juice, tapioca starch, and Maranta arundinacea root powder (also known as arrowroot powder) to control odor and sweat. One of the key Lume deodorant ingredients is mandelic acid, an AHA found in skin care products, which also has an antibacterial effect.

Ibuprofen medicine is a painkiller. Can you take ibuprofen on an empty stomach  Some people take medicine empty stomach which is not good for our health. Because painkiller kind of medicine is very strong and can harm your liver. Medicine makes many strong ingredients. like Lactose, corn starch, hypromellose, sodium starch glycolate, colloidal anhydrous silica, magnesium stearate, sucrose, talc, titanium dioxide (E171), and carnauba wax.

Never had a history of Oral cold sores before, but have dated someone with them.  Thats very interesting about the test. This was my first full panel.  The large bumps have recently show up, its been about a few weeks when I noticed them. Again no pain nor fluids from them.
