Just diagnosed today!!!! Imulux?

Recommended Posts

Today I just found out I have HSV II. My boyfriend of five years cheated on me and gave it to me. I guess I am lucky, since my first outbreak consisted of only one bump and lasted for only five days.

I don't know if anyone has ever heard of Imulux? I decided of course to research for a cure and came upon a clinical study that is taking place by Dr. Stoneburner. I called him and he answered and it seems that I may be a participant. If anyone liked to be kept updated let me know. I hope to God this is the real thing. He says that he is going to send me the registration materials and an informed consent form. I guess I can only wait and see and say what the hell, why not?

private studys take even longer to get approved. i wouldnt participate in anything that wasnt approved by the fda.

sounds like a rip off "promises to fix me up"

seriously u need to read stuff, its a load of crap.

""IMULUX Ltd. does not make any medical claims regarding the IMULUX device.

(((they are saying that there product is fake))) No party involved in the manufacture or sale of the IMULUX device is licensed to practice medicine.(((does that make you feel good? would you let a prison chef do brain surgery on you?))) You should not consider the information or equipment provided by IMULUX to be the practice of medicine or to replace consultation with a physician or other medical practitioner. The IMULUX device is not a substitute for medical treatment by a physician or other medical practitioner."""

the product disclamer doesnt even mention herpes.

Thank you for your concern. The doctor doing the study is an optomotrist and has quite a background in research. They are going up for FDA approval and a past study was done in 2001 that was successful. The reason for the disclaimer is due to the DR not being an MD. I personally don't think that you have to be an MD to have knowledge within the field. It is not like an idiot is doing the study. The man does have degrees behind him and well versed in his knowledge to which he presented to me. I am a graduate student and do studies on people myself and are not a MD, but have the knowledge for the basis behind me. I will let you know if something terrible is to happen, but I will fully research what I am getting into and have someone reputable look at it prior to using it on myself. He said that he was also going to send it to physicians as well within the guidelines of his study. You really should read it. It was published in quite a few papers.

optometrist??? >>>http://stats.bls.gov/oco/ocos073.htm

hey the web site says> money back guarentee, why would you partisipate in a study if they have already done the stuff to create this magic light that will kill the virus. pay the 200$ and get it done with.... then you can retest yourself. and get your money back if it doesnt work. its like buying jeans trying them on at home and returning them.

then you can come back here and rave about it if it works

an optemitrist is a eye doctor isnt it?? i agree with waxed wrong that doesnt sound very safe to me. there are medicines they can give you that will reduce ur outbreaks but right now herpes is uncurable. there are no magic cures out there.

An optometrist makes eye glasses. I do not believe an optometrist has a medical degree. An opthamolagist is an eye doctor. An opthamolagist does have a medical degree. Incidentally, I'm not sure I spelled either correctly, but I think I'm close.

Dumb Idea

Trust me, I'm really not that stupid. This is the way I cope. I run studies myself and refuse to participate in a study that is not a double blind study and that charges you a $150.00 to be a participant. Sounds like bull-shit to me. I just had to believe in something at the time and that was it, but no idiot will get money out of me on account of me believing. I have however found a company in Texas that does cancer research and has been working on this topical cream that kills HSV. They have run studies so far on animals, but have yet to start any research on humans. I guess their main goal is this cream this year, but it could be years before it comes out. I just hope it comes out before I hit menopause. At least Cytogenix is a research facility with scientists and real MD's and employs 200 people. This is where I am putting my hope.

For future reference, it is okay to offer advice, but knowledge is power. Different people cope in different ways. At this point in my life I am going for my doctorate in psychology and are well aware of how I am handling things. People need false hopes sometimes even if rediculous, but if healthy they will move on and get over them. I did with educating myself with what I have and looking into companies that are worth having hope in rather than those that will make me lose money and feel less of myself in the end. For those that are info seekers as myself, the answer will in time be stumbled upon whether it is the one you want or not, but you sometimes have to find it out for yourself. Trust me, I tend to find out things prior to investing money and time, but more on my own, but thank you for your concern.

I had an IGG test  and the ranges were out of range and high  HSV 1 was 42 and HSV 2 was 19 so I guess it was accurate but the problem now is I can't figure out when or who I got it from. In 2018 to 2019 when I was with my ex I was STD tested but not sure if herpes was included but my ex was supposed to get tested but refused. I experienced some trauma with him and didn't date until a year and a half later so I'm confused. The guy I dated after the ex who didn't want to be tested I told them a week ago about my results he was trying to be there for me and understanding,I told him to get tested but to request a herpes blood test , because he had no noticeable lesions or bumps ever is what he said and I never noticed any on him now he has shut down all his social media and I can't reach him. Hoping he's okay, I feel bad because in 2018 I did have what I was told it was an abrasion that tingled but at my doctor the day I was tested they told me it wasn't herpes but I think it was only a visible diagnosis. I keep having it reoccur from time to time

Hello "FeelingLost".... your fears and concerns are understandable but, nothing you've described regarding the sexual encounter would cause you to contract herpes.... further, your symptoms are not herpes related.  Best of all, your doctor is correct, your results don't show any herpes here.  You can relax.... definitely have your GP take a look at things and see what might be causing the symptoms but, again, none of them are typical herpes related.  I wish you the best in terms of talking to your wife about this encounter.... hopefully she will understand and you both can work through this amicably.  We all make mistakes.... be careful not to beat yourself up too hard over this.... you can become so racked with guilt that you start imagining physical symptoms.  Best of luck.... and take care..... come back to the site if you have questions.

Hi (I’m really scared and feel really disappointed in myself and worried about my future), I had oral sex with a condom almost 3 weeks ago and a massage parlor. I also received a hand job at the same time prior to putting a condom on, also may have rubbed my penis on her back a little. Did not touch her genitals I don’t recall any sores on her back. After the event she handed me a pice of TP and after I took off the condom I wiped my penis head to clear away the excess ejaculation…this is where I suspect I got infected, she had just gone pee and wiped and maybe touched a sore or something and then I got it on my penis from the tp? Idk. I’m just flailing.   After this I’ve had discomfort on the skin below the head of my penis and 4 bumps for 2 weeks now, the bumps don’t seem to have changed in size. I also had frequent urination for about a week and have had dull pain in my groin on and off. I also have some pins and needles on the sides of my abdomen/trunk that get worse when I go out in the heat or get dehydrated. I’ve had a lot of trouble sleeping, likely due to guilt and shame and worry about the future.   so I got one test done at 10 days from the event (idk know if this can tell me anything… the doctor assured me it was 100% correct and I don’t have herpes. I was not physically examined). I got a full panel std. neg for everything. HSV-1 results: IgG 0.3 / HSV-2 IgG 0.9 hsv-1 IgM = 2.2 hsv-2 IgM = 3.0 (Reference V. Negative: Less than 9.0 Borderline: 9.0 to 11.0 Positive: Greater than 11.0) I have an appointment with my GP on Thursday, hoping he can help. Will likely go to a std testing service tomorrow to see if I can get in an antiviral proactively. Plan to get tested again this week.
