I am pissed!!!!!!!!!! Do I have right to be pissed when my girlfriend didn't know she had it. I can't just let it go and say, ah well she didn't know. I am furious. I just don't want to deal with her right now. How have others dealt with it.

do i relate to you, and i'll tell you first off that it destroyed my relationship with the woman. about a week after staring "intimacies" with her, we decided to lose the condom and give her diaphagm a try. "you're cool, right?" she assured me she was, and being a professional woman in her late 30s, i had no reason to doubt her. well, a week later, it was like i exploded! it was only after getting a positive diagnosis MONTHS later, that the fact that an "old boyfriend" of her's had herpes came out into the open...but she had never had a visible outbreak and didn't think that she was carrying it (or spreading it). funny enough (!), until the "H" word came out of the Dr's mouth, our relationship was pretty good...

i don't know what to say to help. we always had very good communication about the subject and talked very openly, and that certainly was a good thing. but to be brutally honest, i was never really too attracted to her after that-and that kind of sucks, as i really miss that communication.

be honest & be open with her about your feelings 'cause i'm sure it's probably something that she's dealing with, too. you've got a right to be pissed (i was, too) but you don't have to let it ruin your life or relationship.

i just found out

i have so many emotions running through my head right now, I just need to get them out: Iam so scared about my future, I think I may have lost the will to I feel I now have nothing to work for(towards) now as I would gladly give up my education, career $, now if I could , if I had a choice. This is so final, I can't ever imagine leading a normal life again. I am just so completely devestated.

I know how you feel

Hi,

I found out about a week ago I had herpes. I about died when I told a friend of mine my sympons and she suggested I had herpes. I was really insulted till I realized you could catch it from your hubby even after 10 years of a faithful marriage just because he had a cold sore. What a shock. I am honestly dealing with it better than I though. Thank God for Valtrex.
