Hello everyone. I have been scanning the site for some time and finally decided to register. It's a great site with so much information. I was diagnosed in 2004 and am just now getting to the point where I feel like I can move forward. I contracted H from a girl I met and decided to have unprotected sex with. She failed to let me know she carried the virus. I learned the hard way. I am looking forward to more time on the site.

I just found out 2-24-07

Right now I am pretty new to this diagnosis and this forum. Luckily I have the support of my friend's and family. I had my boyfriend of five years cheat on me and not tell me and then sleep with me, hence giving me herpes. I have already gone through the depression and I think in a sense it helped to get some revenge after all the bad things that he did to me. The woman that he cheated on me in another country he decided that he was going to marry and he was still telling me that he loved me while he was waiting for her to get here and had another relationship as well, so I decided to tell her about it. Guess what she didn't come. Now he is out of my life for good and is not living happily ever after with the woman that gave it to him. I know what I did was wrong, but I tell you what it felt good.

Don't think of what you did as doing something wrong. Most likely this other woman had no clue you even exsisted. He probably lied. So by your telling her what a jerk he is....you did her a favor. On the other hand if she did know about you, then shame on her and good for you for ratting them both out

Yes she did know about me. She told me he said that he was miserable with me and she figured that the relationship would end and she was having a relationship with over the internet while he was living with me. I WENT THROUGH HELL. She said so much bad stuff about me, saying that I should get over him and that I had no self-esteem since I was in tears daily. How would you feel if your boyfriend of five years came back from a vacation of 2 weeks and told you that he was in love with someone else and was going to marry them?

hey shocked,

you mentioned that your ex was waiting for another women for another country and at the same time was in "another" relationship aside from yours as well? do I understand that correctly? because if that is the case then perhaps the "3rd" girl was the one originally who had herpes and not the girl from the other country and in that case you should inform both girls just to be sure....so they not only know his status as a cheater but also now as a carrier. If i misunderstood the post and there is only the girl from the other country...sorry i was a little confused. Either case, you have nothing to feel bad for telling her the truth.....nothing at all :)

No, the relationship with the new girl didn't start until we were already over. He was dumb enough to tell me that he was cheating on his new finance. What taste I have.

that stinks and Im sorry to hear..been cheated on as well before..not fun. He sounds like a real jerk and not only did he infect you, but probably infected the girl he was cheating on his ex-fiance with as well. I wonder if she is aware he has herpes.

      To give some context I hve been suffering with this for the last 6/7 years this came about after I had varicella zoster on the inside of my body a week after I started getting clusters of spots on the top of my buttock they are not painful as such can be itchy at times but majority of the time I don’t feel it when I have an outbreak. I’ve been to various doctors who say it’s a fungal skin infection or a bacterial skin infection. I’ve asked if it’s herpes but they will say it’s not without even testing it.

      Hello there @momma267 and welcome. There is no reason to believe that what you have there is other than a pressure sore, something that has emerged from rubbing with clothing or butt cheeks and exacerbated by bacteria or yeast.  Note that the first you’d learn of herpes is unlikely to be on your butt, instead where it enters your body, this is usually within the vaginal lips for females.

      So to begin with, I am 26 and have been with the same partner for 8 years. I have only been with three people ever, one completely protected and the other we were both our firsts. I got this rash on my but while pregnant and my doctor said she was testing for it and I'm so confused. I've had two babies, breastfeed, and never had anything as much as a cold sore. Does this look like something anyone has experienced? I used fragrant soap down there and am hoping it's contact dermatitis or a heat rash from sweating and gaining so much weight.  Advice would be helpful. I'm stressing out a bit as I am pregnant.       Hi, it is me again, apologies for the recent influx of posts. I've noticed a slightly raised area on the middle of my top lip with what i feel are some bumps. i do have a habit of biting my lips a fair bit and this area is frequented by my teeth. I haven't noticed any unusual/abnormal tingling or burning or pain sensations. the photos are a bit difficult to focus on them but do these seem like the start of cold sores? note: I will be visiting the drs for an std checkup in the coming week. https://imgur.com/gallery/YLVA5us
