Hello everybody, it took me a lot to have the guts to write in here, but well here i am, I got herpes almost a year ago, well my first outbreak, because with all i have been reading in here, you cant be sure when exactly did you get it, just im sure when i got my first outbreak. Im not sure who gave it to me, in a time of 7 months, I had different couples, not always sex safe, so in the 8 month, i got my first out break, so I went with the doctor and he took a culture test, so definitely it was herpes, he gave me valtrex, im not sure about what type of herpes i have. I havent done the blood test. What im afraid now, after all this reading is that i could get a sore on my throat or any part of my body from the first infection, because when i had sex, i had oral sex, sometimes they came out on my back or other part of my body. I just have had sores on my genital part, i just got one sore in my first ob, and after 6 months i have another ob, and from that, it has been 5 months and still with ob, even when i dont have any sore, my butt hurts a lot. Im taking valtrex daily, Im just done with my period and before and after I got some cuts on my vagina. It doesnt look that with valtrex is going away. Well I Hope to get any respond. And remember always wear a condom.

PurpleDolly....

Hi.....it took some time for me to also start writing here also but I guess no matter what you need someone to talk. This is a very good start.

You didnt mention anyone else knowing this so for now...I will make the assumption that you and your doctor are the only persons who know your condition.

Do not be afraid, Try not to stress yourself out too much. Like anything else in live Accpetance is Key.

You can get a blood test done if you want...HSV test cost a more than the standard STD tests but you know what type of HSV you have.

Also..where the OB occur will also tell you which you have.

Genital Herpes - HSV 2 - (T2) - you will have vaginal cuts, genital sores, butt burning/itching, burning/prickling sensation in your legs maybe

Cold Sores - Fever Blisters - HSV 1 (T1) - you will have sores on your lips or in your mouth or in your throat.

_______________________________________________________________________

Note:

You can have either Type of OB anywhere on your body.

You can have both T1&T2 and only get OB of one Type....T2

You can get and spread either T1 and/or T2 via Oral,Straight, Anal

When you do get an outbreak, try not to touch the sores with your hands and touch other parts of your body. Especially your eyes (Can cause blindness)

_______________________________________________________________________

Stressing out can induce the OB. You did a good thing in coming here.

I know right now your world collapsed around you. But it has not ended. We just have to make adjustments. And most importantly gain solid footing in our thinking.

I dont know of your religious persuassion, But I belive that God teaches us through various means. Same way when you went to school, there was a class I'm sure you hated but had to take it. This is a similar thing.

The thing is with HSV as far as I see now is that we really learn how to be better people. You will see how differently you begin thinking, leanr how to take care of your body and if you care about people you will try to help them from getting HSV.

The next thing is that you're going to be doing a lot of homework ( reading on the internet). Google the words Herpes and HSV

Here are a few sites I've read

http://www.herpes-coldsores.com

http://www.herpes.com/hsv1-2.html

http://www.cdc.gov/std/Herpes/STDFact-Herpes.htm

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Herpes_simplex

I will not lie to you. Some of the reading your gonna do is going to scare you. but you have to read so that you know what can happen, how you can suppress OB and how you can prevent transmission even to your ownself (Other areas of your body).

OB control meds will vary from person to person chatting here can give you a number of persons, who used what, and what worked. Besides that you have to keep your body healthy.

Get a good Multi Vitamin Supplements

Vitamin C 1000Mg, B Complex (B 50)

Lysine 1000Mg I have read that Lysine helps to restrict the replication of the the virus. So you try those.

These are just Vitamin, Mineral and Amino Acids (Protein)...but they dont have the side effect of Valtrex.

H-Balm and Choraphor are two products touted to reduce and/or prevent outbreaks. they are Topical products (apply to area). You will come across these more than anything else.

My suggestions to you. Read the materials. Talk to people who have it. Learn from them. Chat in the Forums. You can message any of us privately if you dont want to post any other information in the forums

You need to keep your immune system up.

Keep your Spirits up.

Message me, Post to Us.

GoodLuck

To give some context I hve been suffering with this for the last 6/7 years this came about after I had varicella zoster on the inside of my body a week after I started getting clusters of spots on the top of my buttock they are not painful as such can be itchy at times but majority of the time I don’t feel it when I have an outbreak. I’ve been to various doctors who say it’s a fungal skin infection or a bacterial skin infection. I’ve asked if it’s herpes but they will say it’s not without even testing it.

Hello there @momma267 and welcome. There is no reason to believe that what you have there is other than a pressure sore, something that has emerged from rubbing with clothing or butt cheeks and exacerbated by bacteria or yeast.  Note that the first you’d learn of herpes is unlikely to be on your butt, instead where it enters your body, this is usually within the vaginal lips for females.

So to begin with, I am 26 and have been with the same partner for 8 years. I have only been with three people ever, one completely protected and the other we were both our firsts. I got this rash on my but while pregnant and my doctor said she was testing for it and I'm so confused. I've had two babies, breastfeed, and never had anything as much as a cold sore. Does this look like something anyone has experienced? I used fragrant soap down there and am hoping it's contact dermatitis or a heat rash from sweating and gaining so much weight.  Advice would be helpful. I'm stressing out a bit as I am pregnant. Hi, it is me again, apologies for the recent influx of posts. I've noticed a slightly raised area on the middle of my top lip with what i feel are some bumps. i do have a habit of biting my lips a fair bit and this area is frequented by my teeth. I haven't noticed any unusual/abnormal tingling or burning or pain sensations. the photos are a bit difficult to focus on them but do these seem like the start of cold sores? note: I will be visiting the drs for an std checkup in the coming week. https://imgur.com/gallery/YLVA5us
