Hi I just recently found out that I am pregnant and my doctor did a blood test. It came back that I do not have a STD but that I was exposed to herpes. This came as a complete shock because I never had a cold sore or bumps on my vagina. I am even more confused because I wasn't told what type of herpes and I wasn't prescribed medicine. In fact my next appointment is in a month. She told me not to blame my boyfriend and he should get tested. He was shocked because he just got tested and everything was negative but the Doctor said he has to ask for that particular test because it is not a standard std test. Now I am complete wreck because the matter wasn't explained properly. Am I overreacting comments will be greatly appreciated. Also has unprotected sex with him two days before the results. I know have a slight sore throat and worrying if thats a sign somethings gonna happen or mind over matter. I must stress I have no symptom for oral or genital. I have gotten razor bumps after shaving bikini area or a hair root but it goes away after a few days. Theres no pain or anything. sorry for the to much info. but I want to explain my situation thoroughly to get the best response. My bf is the only person I ever been with Im 24 and pregnant. please help

Just read how Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez helped raise $340,000 for transgender youth. https://www.yahoo.com/lifestyle/alexandria-ocasio-cortez-casually-joins-171241889.html It sure would help if we had some celebrity or public person champion our cause. Maybe that should be our focus, to reach out to public persons and try to enlist them.  All it takes is a tweet from the right person.

Dr. Iwasaki is definitely deserving of funding. I'd love it if we could do a fund raiser for her. I guess at the moment we are already doing the Fred Hutch Center.

Hi, I’ve had HSV1g for 4 years and only ever had my first and only breakout. I’m super thankful for that. I still hate disclosing as it sets off alarms. Finally met a guy I really really like and disclosed last night to be clear about why I’ve been hesitant to be intimate.  We have for sure kissed and after telling he was in a panick about us having kissed. I’ve never ever had cold sores and have never passed it to anyone. Again in 4 years only my first and only genital HsV1 breakout. I’ve always been told kissing for me was fine....Can anyone help clarify? I’m resllt struggling as I like this guy a lot and hoping he can look past it.
