NURSES or other HEALTH PROFESSIONALS with herpes?

Recommended Posts

FML123

Hello I have been hearing that I need to stay healthy and keep my immunity up in order to decrease my chances of having an outbreak. I am going to be a nurse therefore I will be around sick individuals CONSTANTLY! This can't be good for my health. Does anybody have herpes that works in the med field or does anybody know anybody? This is a huge concern I have :( There's nothing else I can imagine doing in my life...I love medicine and helping people. :(

I am a nurse and have had herpes for 7 yrs now!!! Herpes does not interfere with my job as a nurse to care for ppl or do my job.. Herpes only affects u if I allow it to... Taking daily vitamin like C and b-12 can boost ur immunity.. Staying fit eating healthy and not giving herpes the power it doesn't deserve is key.. Loving urself having a great attitude and knowing that herpes doesn't change u as a person ur job ur career ur lifestyle just changes the way u approach future partners about being honest with them and doing ur best that u can do to protect them from getting it and know that their will always be risk good luck

Try soaking in the tub with Epsom salt and use zinc oxide cream to dry them out.. Keep hands away as much as possible wash hands if u need to touch that area.. First yr is the most contagious I take daily antivirals have been for 7 yrs maybe have 1 to 2 outbreaks a yr very mild,, when they happen I up the dosage of meds increase my vitamins and take a Epsom salt bath and rest its over quick less than 5 days good luck and ur welcome ;)

I would suggest you don t have to tell many people about it you have HSV ..May be you can tell people with whom you are in relationship now or any future partners ..telling anyone else will make unnecessary more worrying only ...
