well she went to the gyn and the doc told her it was herpes...I am stunned as her boyfriend, and am not really educated about this. I have hsv1 and i gave her oral...so im assuming she has genital hsv1 and not hsv2. Is 1 better or worse than the other? and can we still have sex, kiss and do all of that other stuff. We use to have unprotected sex often but now that she has hsv condoms are a must.. what are some ways to keep the romance alive but safely. And is it possible to give oral to each other even tho we both are hsv positive? please help thankx

wait, you GAVE her oral first- and are stunned that she has genital? how stunned can you be, you obviously knew you spread it to her the first time, and its possible to spread to genitals...i would no be suprised if she had it, since you didnt use any protection.

and why didnt use protection before..? if u knew you had herpes- did she know?

and sure you cant do all the same things you did before but now that she has genital, your at risk for getting genital to.

you cant re-get herpes. you can get diffrent strains like 1/2 but if you both have 1, its not going to re-infect yourself. but kissing/ sex can cause you to have a outbreak.

I have hsv1....didnt know i spread it to her because she didnt show any symptoms. There was no need for protection because i dont know HSV2. Im asking because i think i infected her vagina with hsv1 thru oral. Now im assuming she has hsv1 on her vagina. I have some questions like

- how long do OB's last..(this is her first)

- Can we do the same things but with protection

- And can i get hsv from her thru oral...... assuming she has hsv1 orally and vaginally?

if your giving her oral sex, theres a need for her protection.

obs, can last 2 days, or 2 months.. depends how bad it is.

you could.

yes you can.

like i said you cant reinfect the area w/ the same virus.

you can however reinfect diffrent parts of your body. like your eyes, genitals, skin etc.

you can get reinfected w/ a diffrent strain like type 2. since you have type1. (by the way have you been tested and told type 1> or are you just saying 1 since its oral?)

really the virus is diffrent for everyone-- its still herpes, its still a bitch.

but you can search this question on google, i think genital 1 is supposed to be alot less sever then genital 2. but you should search this as i might be wrong.

Im saying its 1 since its oral, and I have never eaten pussy in my life before this girl so i know its not hsv2 orally. Ill google around and ask Thanks for the help. I feel depressed man, getting suicidal thoughts, i dont know what to do im young...and believe it or not my gf wants to stay with me. Shes a real ride or die bitch and i would never leave her but i just feel so guilty. I didnt think she would get it if i didnt have symptoms but i guess i was wrong. I even cried, but life goes on and like she told me....its not AIDS and its not killing her, and we still have each other

you can have 2 orally, thats why i asked if you had been tested, herpes aint gonna kill u, and youve already got a girl " a ride or die bitch" so i bet shes sticking around anyway, which is the hardest part for single people with herpes- finding someone that wants to be with them, so you are lucky. and should take that girl out and buy her tons of flowers maybe diamonds lol. yup shes got the right idea, it aint gonna kill ya, in fact it will bring u guys closer.

To give some context I hve been suffering with this for the last 6/7 years this came about after I had varicella zoster on the inside of my body a week after I started getting clusters of spots on the top of my buttock they are not painful as such can be itchy at times but majority of the time I don’t feel it when I have an outbreak. I’ve been to various doctors who say it’s a fungal skin infection or a bacterial skin infection. I’ve asked if it’s herpes but they will say it’s not without even testing it.

Hello there @momma267 and welcome. There is no reason to believe that what you have there is other than a pressure sore, something that has emerged from rubbing with clothing or butt cheeks and exacerbated by bacteria or yeast.  Note that the first you’d learn of herpes is unlikely to be on your butt, instead where it enters your body, this is usually within the vaginal lips for females.

So to begin with, I am 26 and have been with the same partner for 8 years. I have only been with three people ever, one completely protected and the other we were both our firsts. I got this rash on my but while pregnant and my doctor said she was testing for it and I'm so confused. I've had two babies, breastfeed, and never had anything as much as a cold sore. Does this look like something anyone has experienced? I used fragrant soap down there and am hoping it's contact dermatitis or a heat rash from sweating and gaining so much weight.  Advice would be helpful. I'm stressing out a bit as I am pregnant. @WilsoInAus could you kindly have a look :) also how long does it typically take for herpes blisters to develop into sores

Hi, it is me again, apologies for the recent influx of posts. I've noticed a slightly raised area on the middle of my top lip with what i feel are some bumps. i do have a habit of biting my lips a fair bit and this area is frequented by my teeth. I haven't noticed any unusual/abnormal tingling or burning or pain sensations. the photos are a bit difficult to focus on them but do these seem like the start of cold sores? note: I will be visiting the drs for an std checkup in the coming week. https://imgur.com/gallery/YLVA5us
