Observing my Herpes outbreak story

Recommended Posts

Hanah

Hello, I am 24 year old and I have had Cold sore herpes for almost 6 years now. I got it from a friend's 18 birthday present to me. She gave me a lipstick, that she bought from a flea market. It is very annoying and sad but I told this to my boyfriend and he accepted it. We got married anyway. I am okay with my situation right now. I have abreva cream as my friend. It keeps me happy during my outbreak. It is an awesome product ever.

I do not have genital herpes and just cold sore and I am a left-handed person.

Today I join the club because I have a question that has always be on my mind. I wonder why my Herpes only appears on the exact spot of my lip, upper right of mind and never on other places. Does this have anything to do with me being left handed/ right brained and the virus is in my nervous system? I am "very" left handed. It is shown in my facial expression, i have always smiled with only the left side of my lips, used to chew only on the left side until I had my root canal there, and I can see my my left eye better than with my right eye. The right side of my body is not always active. I wonder if there is any connection between them. Also, with the virus being in the nervous system, is that the reason why we have the outbreak when we are stressed? And would that have anything to do with our memory and how we think?

Does anyone have any guesses?

Hey Hanah, welcome to our site :wavey: . Honey the chances of you getting oral herps from a lip stick, probably bought well in advanced of that birthday, are very unlikely. Herpes needs skin to skin and cannot last once it goes airborne. I'm sorry, I'm sure you didn't want to hear that. :( . It is possible you got it as a child, many do, from an older family member or friend of the family. Have you ever had chicken pox or mono, those are another member of the herpes family called herpes zoster. Okay no association with left or right handed , none that I'm aware of. Also no it doesn't affect our memory, old age does that :gigglegiggle: . This oral h lies behind the ears , that nervous system. It can outbreak anywhere in that facial/mouth area. Also did you know you could transfer this oral h genitally to your guy giving him oral sex. Here is a book www.westoverheights.com, also another good site is www.medhelp.org, we also have a lovely herpes library here on site on the right side of the front forum page. Take care, Ace :)

You did not get oral hsv from a lipstick. The virus dies very quickly outside of the body, so skin to skin contact is needed. You could have gotten it from something as simple as a kiss from a relative when you were young. About 80% of the usa has oral hsv, but not everyone gets cold sores. Herpes outbreaks tend to reoccur in the same place you originally got them. It is unrelated to being right/left brained.

Stress weakens the immune system, and your immune system is what keeps hsv outbreaks at bay. This is why stress can cause outbreaks.

Anyone know anything about potential side effects?

You obviously can’t read. Why don’t you actually read the article, or the excerpt I posted? Here it is even simpler for you: prostaglandins were shown to enhance the spread of herpes virus in cell culture 26 27 and to inhibit interferon production 27 28 and were implicated in the reactivation of herpetic skin lesions.

Hormones definitely affect HSV outbreaks according to research. I'm a male but on anti-estrogen medication in constant trouble. Have a look at my thread here: https://honeycomb.click/topic/76903-over-4-years-with-hsv-2-symptoms-keep-getting-worse-with-non-stop-outbreaks-despite-suppressive-therapy-need-help/

First page, 8th post with studies about E2 / Progesterone effects on HSV.

It's getting pretty terrible now, I don't ever remember the last time I was feeling normal. I'm so sick of this constant flu-like feeling that makes me depressed and very unproductive. I have so many ideas and ambitions for life but I end up just doing the bare minimum due to constantly feeling like shit.  A week ago I tried stopping my anti-estrogen medication if that could have been the cause (it states "infection" in the listed, common side effects). Had my hopes up for a day or two but just got another outbreak this week that makes me want to sleep in bed all day. On top of this, now my breasts hurt because of increased E2 levels.

I guess I still have some hopes with new research drugs such as Crispr and Amenalief. I would order Amenalief from Japan immediately, but it costs more than my monthly rent.. I might have to start a business on top of my full time job so I can afford it. Better option than self-pity but extra stress will surely not help with the HSV2 ;)

Probably the therapy with SADBE helps us to develop a partial immune system on HSV. If you use more SADBE you will develop more immune system on HSV. This is most likely a mechanism of action.
