Hi lady 23 ---

So, were you not tested when you thought you got it 14 years ago?

Do you have printouts of the recent test results?

Or, do you know what type of test kits were used?

Have you ever been tested for any other conditions that might be causing your symptoms?

:wavey:

No I was not tested 14 years ago, I diagnosed myself. I have thrown the printouts away. I went to the public health dep, they said that they did not see anything so they could only take blood. I have not been tested for anyother conditions. thank for replying

actually i just found the printout

If you share what it says, we might be able to give some feedback.

If it lists the test kit used, that could help.

If there are numeric values associated, post those.

Look for index values/reference ranges...and include them if they are there.

Really, anything (other than identifying info), might be useful.

well the only numbers, it says specimen numbers c09v0011584

Right. Not what I was looking for.

You might want to ask the doctor (or laboratory) the exact name of the test kit. Then you might want to poke around to find someone who will use a different IgG-based kit, or even get a Western Blot done.

Also, you might want to talk to a doc about exploring other causes for your symptoms.

Just read how Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez helped raise $340,000 for transgender youth. https://www.yahoo.com/lifestyle/alexandria-ocasio-cortez-casually-joins-171241889.html It sure would help if we had some celebrity or public person champion our cause. Maybe that should be our focus, to reach out to public persons and try to enlist them.  All it takes is a tweet from the right person.

Dr. Iwasaki is definitely deserving of funding. I'd love it if we could do a fund raiser for her. I guess at the moment we are already doing the Fred Hutch Center.

Hi, I’ve had HSV1g for 4 years and only ever had my first and only breakout. I’m super thankful for that. I still hate disclosing as it sets off alarms. Finally met a guy I really really like and disclosed last night to be clear about why I’ve been hesitant to be intimate.  We have for sure kissed and after telling he was in a panick about us having kissed. I’ve never ever had cold sores and have never passed it to anyone. Again in 4 years only my first and only genital HsV1 breakout. I’ve always been told kissing for me was fine....Can anyone help clarify? I’m resllt struggling as I like this guy a lot and hoping he can look past it.
