Herpes2

desperate

Recommended Posts

Hi all, wow i never thougt that this would happen to me. I got my first break out about a month ago but I did not think much ot it, thought it was a rash or something. After a week, I went to see my doctor. He took one look at my penis & said "YOU GOT HERPES". My heart dropped. He then told me that there is "NO CURE". He prescribed me Acyclovir. After a 3 weeks of Acyclovir, it cleared up. Its been a little over a month now. I have been on the internet daily searching for a cure. I came acroos a few things but I have not yet tried anything yet but I am getting desperate. I know about the proper Diet & exercise to keep your immune system strong but I want a cure. I am thinking about trying the oxygen theory. One guy claimed he was cured by flooding his body with oxygen. Anybody out here know of a cure??

There have to be a cure out there somewhere. With the suppresive therapy, can you still give it to some one else? The funny thing is, where I got my first outbreak, I had a condom on. My outbreak was by my genitals & on my penis. You know how the condom slips down. I have to find a cure. Maybe I am searching for acure because I am knew to this & have not accepted that fact yet. We can't just give up. riend, dont get caught up in the scams.

Thank you for that information. I think I came across that already but I did called them. They told me that they are still trying it out & it is suppose to be for someone that don't already have HSV. I think that's great too cause I don't want to pass it on. I still think there is a cure somewhere out there. I know everybody's system is different so what works for one might not work for another. If I was a millionaire, I bet you I would find a cure.

Go to this link and check it out! Call them...Email them! Start raising awareness!!! Maybe with enough "buzz" we'll get there!

Also go www.antigenetics.com . They also claim to have found a cure and are in Phase 1 trials!!!!!

Hi - I feel desparate too (hence my sitting at my computer at 9.15 pm on a Saturday night instead of being out having fun). So sorry to hear your news - I'm in the same boat. been surfing the web for a "cure" but there isn't one...is there? Where are you from? I am in Australia and am a fairly typical high-achieving "good girl". I'm devastated.

Hi, I am in USA. I do the same thing, I don't go out anymore. I haven't had sex either & its been over a month since diagnosed, just not into it anymore. This freaking thing is on my mind constantly. Although I have only had my first outbreak, I don't want to get anymore. I just want to rid my body of this freaking virus. I am in the process of clensing my colon & then I think I will give this "Stabilized oxygen theory a try". Go to "earthclinic.com" they have a whole bunch of remedies that people like you & me are trying out. I just refuse to believe that there is no cure out there........

been there done that

Hello to all,

I'm a 68yr old male, Christian, have had herpes for over 30 years, (got it back when NOBODY knew anything about it. Found this site looking for long term effects of the disease because it is coming back. Had a hernia operation and the hack surgeon nicked some nerves and the herpes and the nerve damage are fighting to see who can make me the most miserable. You can live with it, you can still have sex, and depending upon who you are it will not seriously disrupt your life. At lease it didn't mine, until now that is. 30 years later. But one must never give up, don't let the bastard win.......I'm not a doctor, just someone who has had a lot of experience with it. As the saying goes, we learn by experience, it just doesn't have to be our own. If anyone has any questions or comments that I can help with please post your questions or comments. I'm retired and have time on my hands to pass on what I have learned. Just remember that it can't be cured but it can be controlled.

Best regards GPA Tom.

TTF - wouldn't you think that since hsv resides in the nervous system if the nerves are damaged they are a little haywire and since it is post surgery could the immune system be trying to catch up?

I had some nerve damage from an injury and it took about 5 years for it to revive and the sensations were not that different than hsv. I had numbness in parts and in others burning and tingling and itching and something like hot needles off and on but now I have 80% use of my hand again.

GPA TOM - what a horrible outcome to a surgery that is supposed to help make things better. I'm sorry to hear that happened to you. Might help to research "Bowen" it helped me with sciatic nerve pain

Yeah I guess so. It's just that the words of both my GP and Consultant (at the STD clinic) every now and again come bcak to haunt me - "herpes do not cause any long term health problems", and my GP said that when he thought I didn't have it, so wasn't trying to make me feel better! And according to many people on here that simply isn't true. The medical profession are getting away with talking a whole load of bollocks.

Anyway, thanks for the reply.

HSV2 Question?

I got HSV2 duirng protected sex. Yes, I had a condom on. My first outbreak was at the top part of my penis near my genitals, the part that the condom did not cover. From the research that I have done, they say your next outbreak will take place where you got the first one, right? If I have unprotected sex with someone who is negative & I cover that area where I got my first outbreak, can I still pass it on??????? Is the virus all over my penis or just that spot where I got my first outbreak??????????

It is possible for the virus to shed asymptomatically from places that you did not have an ob that are infected just the same. What I am trying to say is there is a risk of passing this on even if you cover that area.

Antiviral meds help reduce the risk. Condoms help reduce the risk. Certain vitamin supplements help reduce the risk. The key word is REDUCE not guarantee.

Hello "FeelingLost".... your fears and concerns are understandable but, nothing you've described regarding the sexual encounter would cause you to contract herpes.... further, your symptoms are not herpes related.  Best of all, your doctor is correct, your results don't show any herpes here.  You can relax.... definitely have your GP take a look at things and see what might be causing the symptoms but, again, none of them are typical herpes related.  I wish you the best in terms of talking to your wife about this encounter.... hopefully she will understand and you both can work through this amicably.  We all make mistakes.... be careful not to beat yourself up too hard over this.... you can become so racked with guilt that you start imagining physical symptoms.  Best of luck.... and take care..... come back to the site if you have questions.

Hi (I’m really scared and feel really disappointed in myself and worried about my future), I had oral sex with a condom almost 3 weeks ago and a massage parlor. I also received a hand job at the same time prior to putting a condom on, also may have rubbed my penis on her back a little. Did not touch her genitals I don’t recall any sores on her back. After the event she handed me a pice of TP and after I took off the condom I wiped my penis head to clear away the excess ejaculation…this is where I suspect I got infected, she had just gone pee and wiped and maybe touched a sore or something and then I got it on my penis from the tp? Idk. I’m just flailing.   After this I’ve had discomfort on the skin below the head of my penis and 4 bumps for 2 weeks now, the bumps don’t seem to have changed in size. I also had frequent urination for about a week and have had dull pain in my groin on and off. I also have some pins and needles on the sides of my abdomen/trunk that get worse when I go out in the heat or get dehydrated. I’ve had a lot of trouble sleeping, likely due to guilt and shame and worry about the future.   so I got one test done at 10 days from the event (idk know if this can tell me anything… the doctor assured me it was 100% correct and I don’t have herpes. I was not physically examined). I got a full panel std. neg for everything. HSV-1 results: IgG 0.3 / HSV-2 IgG 0.9 hsv-1 IgM = 2.2 hsv-2 IgM = 3.0 (Reference V. Negative: Less than 9.0 Borderline: 9.0 to 11.0 Positive: Greater than 11.0) I have an appointment with my GP on Thursday, hoping he can help. Will likely go to a std testing service tomorrow to see if I can get in an antiviral proactively. Plan to get tested again this week.

May 13 ( day I will never forget).. a guy I was dating and I drank way to much and decided to have anal sex. We did use protection however, not enough lube, wasn’t done correctly and it was painful. So bad that I yelled out and fell off the bed. Anyway, oral was also performed on me anal and vaginal. Flash forward to 3-4 days after that. I was in the most intense pain I had ever felt. I went to a gyn she tool one look and said it looks like herpes. She swabbed me . 2 days after that, yes it’s HSV1 . I was still in pain, irritated anal area and vaginal area and It was unbearable.  today, I still have irritation and itchy and when I pass a bowel i’m in pain and the itch is crazy.     When I first was diagnoses the gyn gave me valtrex which I did not take bc I was in so much pain I could not move for 2 days.  Groin lymphs were swollen I had fever , tired etc.  I am wondering if I had taken the valtrex would it have kinda liked stopped the virus in it’s tracks enough to reproduce? Do people see a correlation between no more outbreaks and immediate initial valtrex  use ? I am 43, I never thought this wound happen as I am not a promiscuous person, I hardly date and I always use protection when I do have intercouse , have yearly std tests. I’m just so sad that i’m at this point right now . I’m trying not to get depressed but this is making my body feel miserable. I’m an avid runner and biker and mom of two teens. I feel like my life as I knew is over. I want to feel better already.
