Hi,Bbeauty,

I think you're going to hear a few different answers to your question as the virus is so specific to each individual. Don't know your particulars but definately sympathise. Are you being treated by your dr. ? Depending on your symptoms, the great people on this forum have a WEALTH of information and support to offer. I hope this passes quickly for you. The "typical" outbreak "should" last around 2 to 3 weeks according to my understanding BUT everyone is different. Hang in there. ms.

My first ob was not the worst. The worst came much later and was induced by an emotional episode. Be careful with your emotions they can be deadly in more ways than causing ob's.

This is why we tell each other to seek ways to stay calm and tranquil. Get plenty of sleep and treat yourself to things that make you happy and feel relaxed - your whole being will benefit.

just tiny white bumps on the inside, they itch.

I just went to the doctor on tuesday, and am actually still waiting for my official diagnosis...sigh.

my dr. put me on 2g of valtrex a day. and honestly maybe that's what's making me feel just so shitty! i'm dizzy, nausious (can't spell that word), and totally not hungry.

caliope- it's only been a few days. but i really try to not wake up in the morning with my first thought being "i have herpes". I'm trying to stick with my normal routine, and I think i've gotten over the initial feeling of "everyone is staring at me, they know, i'm a dirty slut"

but what is so deep in my head right now is that I'm preeeetty sure no one is going to want to date me...ha ha...ever! But i guess this is a way to figure out who is really interested in me as a person. Herpes...a possible blessing in some situations?

Beantownbeauty - I hope you can lose the negative thoughts they can only bring pain. One day at a time my dear. There is no reason to believe that no one will ever date you again. That is just your fear speaking. Time is on your side.

The antivirals can make you feel outright freaky the first few days but this should change with a few days. Drink lots and lots of water. By my fifth day I could see a big change happening with the symptoms and my overall mental outlook. That initial shock and pain is really difficult but it doesn't go on forever.

My dr. also put me on antibiotics and told me to use bactrine on the sore, since those are for the "secondary infection". Well, my sores were in the third week at that time. "Amoxillin" not sure about the full spelling. They did healed them up.

Hello there @momma267 and welcome. There is no reason to believe that what you have there is other than a pressure sore, something that has emerged from rubbing with clothing or butt cheeks and exacerbated by bacteria or yeast.  Note that the first you’d learn of herpes is unlikely to be on your butt, instead where it enters your body, this is usually within the vaginal lips for females.

So to begin with, I am 26 and have been with the same partner for 8 years. I have only been with three people ever, one completely protected and the other we were both our firsts. I got this rash on my but while pregnant and my doctor said she was testing for it and I'm so confused. I've had two babies, breastfeed, and never had anything as much as a cold sore. Does this look like something anyone has experienced? I used fragrant soap down there and am hoping it's contact dermatitis or a heat rash from sweating and gaining so much weight.  Advice would be helpful. I'm stressing out a bit as I am pregnant. Hi, it is me again, apologies for the recent influx of posts. I've noticed a slightly raised area on the middle of my top lip with what i feel are some bumps. i do have a habit of biting my lips a fair bit and this area is frequented by my teeth. I haven't noticed any unusual/abnormal tingling or burning or pain sensations. the photos are a bit difficult to focus on them but do these seem like the start of cold sores? note: I will be visiting the drs for an std checkup in the coming week. https://imgur.com/gallery/YLVA5us

To give everyone confidence that it wasn’t herpes related and conclude as the doctor did that it was a dermatitis issue to refer back to the dermatologist to continue with investigations.
