Picking up women (or men) with herpes and being cool with it

So I was doing some..."research..." and realized that 2/3's of porn actors have herpes and basically 99.9% of pornstars have it. To quote a porn actress, ..."if you're a star...you got herpes...cause we all do at the top."

I realized today that I probably would have got these measly skin infections (HSV1, 2, and HPV) anyway at some point in my life.

I realized basically it's just the chicken pox in the genital area.

Everybody gets pissed because herpes is for life...well guess what...so IS THE CHICKEN POX!

Isn't it funny that when you're a kid your mom makes you have a sleepover with the neighbor who has the chicken pox so you can develop immunity to it? Yet you still carry this virus in you to this very day! You don't see anybody getting pissed they have the chicken pox still and that's for life too! In fact, most viruses from the common cold to herpes are the same in this regard.

I realized this is just a skin infection. And like the chicken pox it's almost better to already have it so you don't have to worry about going through the process of getting it...in a way building an immunity to it. Now this doesn't mean I won't disclose to my intimate partners because I am and plan on doing so because that's what it means to be responsible with my health and the health of others.

In case you're a guy (like me) and thinking you will never be able to date that hot girl at the club who turns all the heads think again! Dude your life is NOT OVER. I don't care if you have HSV1, 2, and HPV like me...who gives a fuck...chances are the hott girl has all that shit too or at least 2 out of 3 and would be understanding as long as you are doing something to control symptoms and keep viral shedding in check (if shes smart about it)...

As it turns out, and I know this may be controversial, the hotter a person is, male or female, the more likely they are to have infections likes herpes or hpv...big fucking deal!

I got a wart on my thumb when I was 7 years old. I went to the doctor and got it zapped off with a laser; I still have a bump on my thumb to this day but its not infectious and doesn't bother me, never has.

I'm actually a school teacher and I see kids with warts on their hands and knees all the time...they go away and its no big deal. So genital warts yea...how horrible..what a fucken stigma....yet its treatable, there's medication, drugs, herbs, things you can do to rid yourself of them and even then they're set to disappear on their own after ---from what I've read--- 2 to 3 years....which yea sucks...but with treatment you can remove them in months possibly weeks.

At the end of the day HSV and HPV are just skin infections...I realize this is why we're calling them STI's or sexually transmitted infections...because that's what they are....an infection...like the chicken pox which really is a form of herpes.

Basically herpes is chicken pox for adults. If you get into the dating scene you're going to find out that most people who have had more than 5 partners are likely to have it already. If you don't want to risk getting any infection like this then limit yourself to 4 sex partners for your entire life. Sound boring? Then you better get used to the idea of having a herpes or wart infection at some point.

Like I was saying this might be controversial but the hotter you are (male or female) the more promiscuous you are likely to be because you have the option (yet not everybody takes the option which I understand). So the hotter a guy or girl is the more likely they are to have a sexually transmitted infection...BIG FUCKING DEAL!

I started to realize this when I was watching a porn and started to do research on the porn industry. Visit pornhub dot com and search "Megan Salinas first timer"...says she's 19 years old (same age as the girl that gave me the herps)...fast forward (or watch if you want ;)) to about 4 minutes and 20 seconds when she assumes cowgirl position and rides the cameraman. You will notice THIS GIRL HAS HERPES.

This isn't the first time I've seen it in porn...actually it's EVERYWHERE in porn! I never really noticed of course because like most people I was ignorant and completely unaware of the nature of these infections. I would totally enjoy having sex with a girl as goodlooking as this girl...and she's got the same thing I do basically. Now, makes you wonder she's probably not disclosing her herps to any of her partners...she's basically a hired whore (no disrespect to working women) and knows what she's getting herself into.

In other words...I probably was going to get this virus anyway from fucking a good-looking club girl at some point. After I've come to understand this it's made me realize my life is not over, far from it...and that I could still walk into a bar, pickup the hottest chick, disclose my health conditions before sex, and probably more than likely everything will turn out positive anyway.

At worst she tells her friends....at best she has it as well and doesn't care...or she doesn't have it and understands and is willing to take precautions...or simply doesn't mind it at all and looks at it as a benign skin infection that with treatment can be overcome. If it's not for her...big fucking deal....there are PLENTY of beautiful women with this same condition to choose from.

The fact is when you walk into a bar a group of attractive women are more likely to have a higher ratio of infection than a group of less attractive women. When you call attention to yourself with beauty you have more sexual options...it does not mean you are promiscuous...that's a personal choice some men and women make and I make no judgements about this good or bad....but the fact is the more beautiful you are the more likely you have had more sex partners (because it was an option as compared to if you are ugly; though ugliness brings its own default attraction that leads to infection) and therefore the higher the likelyhood of an infection...Like a yeast infection or whatever.

So my conclusion: yes my sex life has changed, yes I'm a little more hesitant to date younger women because I'd rather not be the guy that "gives" an infection to her....So 18 year old virgins....um yea...I'd rather not waste my time with them getting scared...but then again if I end up with an 18 year old virgin on my lap I'll just tell her and though I know she is less likely to have it because of inexperience and youth, it could be she does have it, was born with it, or got it from a girl through an innocent bisexual experience in high school....You never know...so unless you're honest with your sex partners you simply will not know.

Now if it's too much for a young girl like that...then I'll simply filter my dates to include older women in their 20's and 30's. In fact I'm thinking about telling some women I ONLY date women over 30 (I'm 29). This will make it less of a hassle to worry about whether or not they have herpes. Basically if you want to date women who have the same thing as you...go for the hottest women in the club...the slightly older ones who've had the experience of banging as many guys as you have girls...and as long as you stick to that your dating life can be just as fulfilling as before you were ever infected.

A lot of people freakout about this condition and limit themselves to dating online because they are so ashamed...I'm here to say forget that shit! Go out to the bar with your friends...hit on the person you think is the hottest...take them home (I know this is a skill some men don't have, it's called "pickup") and disclose before sex. If they're not down for you and they walk out the door....go back to the club and repeat, trust me if you pick enough beautiful women with the perfect hip-to-waist ratio, the more beautiful the more likely they are to have it...so if you want to find someone who understands...go after the hotter ones with more experience.

Yea you can find a young girl (or guy if you're a girl or gay whatever) with herpes already but you'll probably get rebuffed more often...so to hassle less with that just filter for older people. The fact is 66% of porn actors and actresses have it, and basically all pornSTARS have it because if you've been in the biz long enough and you're on top statistically it's basically highly improbable that you don't have it. This it the real math behind it...and math is something I understand and boy do I feel better understanding how NOT ALONE I really am.

I'm ready for an identity on these forums...instead of JohnDoe123 I want to be known now as DorianGrey...in memory of Oscar Wilde's now prophetic novel of my life...ha...whatever! I'm over it! I've started a lot of natural treatment...herbs and supplements and I'm on the mend...I'll be symptom free in no time and Lysine is awesome and Olive leaf... andrographis... echinacea... basically I take like 30 pills with 3 glasses of water after every meal haha...whatever nature has an answer to everything...trust in mother nature she will heal you. I promise!

Hey Dorian, welcome to our family/community of herpsters. :wavey: . I had only had two partners and was married first husband gave me herps. These women he cheated/screwed were not all that attractive, their hearts were though. They had beautiful hearts and souls till they betrayed my friendship. Herpes doesn't see color or status or looks. It simply needs a host. I was 26, only two partners ever. My now hubby of 22 years, soon to be 23 years, is not h man. He's tested and I have never passed my h. I've had a healthy daughter too who is also non h and bisexual too. I loved your post and your theories. All the pretty people hang out here. LOL.. welcome once again. Have you tryed adding vit.b12 complex to your regimen, it's worked for me. I stayed Dormant for 23 years, just had second outbreak ever in 25 plus years. Take care. Truly, Acey

but then again if I end up with an 18 year old virgin on my lap I'll just tell her and though I know she is less likely to have it because of inexperience and youth, it could be she does have it, was born with it, or got it from a girl through an innocent bisexual experience in high school....

You are a 29 year old school teacher broadcasting this kind of thing about teenagers..some of your statements, especially given your profession, make me shudder.

Are you serious? Ace is cool and gets where I'm coming from, its sad that you don't. What's wrong with a 29 year old man dating an 18 year old girl? Did you not read the part where I advocate honesty? Because I said BE HONEST. If she has herpes and she knows I have herpes and she's cool with it what's wrong with dating her? And in case you missed it I already said I prefer older women. And for the record I teach elementary school children music. I do wonderful things for these kids. How dare you judge my profession or who I am. Have some respect for yourself you have this virus too mister or misses judgemental. Stop being ashamed of who you are, be honest with yourself, and be honest with others, and stop wasting your time how other people choose to live their lives. Treat every human being with dignity and grow a soul. Peace~

Sorry, Dorian, but it's just wrong, and very sad. There is no justification of a teacher posting about sex with a teen. Seriously! Virus or not, makes zero difference.

If you can join the army and get killed at 18 you damn well can make your own decision who you want to have sex with. Shame on you for trying to decide what others should do with their lives. I mostly date women in their 20's and like I said 30's and 40's as well. Age doesn't matter only mind, body, and soul.

I prefer older women out of my preference for maturity so your obsession with me having dated 18 year olds is quite outlandish. Besides the girl that gave me herpes was 19...there's nothing innocent about age miss irrelevant church lady who judges others instead of picking out her own splinter from her own eye. If you're gonna be a jesus freak at least get your jesus right. I bet you believe gays should be dragged by a rope behind a pickup truck. Bigots like you make me sick. Nuff said.

EDIT: And you're probably some old fart who wished 18 year old guys even looked at her anymore...I'm sure if an 18 year old guy you found attractive (because you're fucking human) hit on you you'd get all happy...maybe you're married...maybe you're single...but if you were 30 40 or 60 I dont care...I'm not going to judge you who you date or how old they are, within reason of course. 18 is legal and even that varies from place to place around the world. Cultures differ on this. All that matters is that someone is looking for a mate, not the age. Love is love.

So a 29 year old woman decides to date an 18 year old college guy...you're going to say this is morally wrong....WHY? Because you're an old foggie who doesn't believe in dating someone younger than a couple years of your own age? Thats stupid. Retarded...thinking. Maybe I'll fall in love with someone who's 32, 41, or 23....or 18....it doesn't matter as long as I find love. And shame on you for judging me for trying to find it.

And I am an awesome school teacher. Like I said I teach elementary school, not high school so I'm not dating my students you sick fuck. How dare you try to paint me as some pervert. I see these kids open up and look up to me with respect because I teach them art and music. I see them grasp songs, scales, theory, singing. I'm so proud of what I do and to read you be so negative after I've brought something to light that helps support people dating with this condition...you are so ugh...annoying person! Leave me alone I'm not doing anything wrong and I know there's plenty of people that agree with me. You maam need to expand yourself.

Instead of focusing on one issue to oppose me why can't you see how I'm supporting those who are looking for support in this area of their lives? Do you realize how hard it is people with H trying to find enough dignity to just go out to a bar and have a normal dating life? Maybe you think its immoral to pickup men or women at a bar..idk...you sound like one of those boring, racist, conservative jesus freaks from texas or something. Grow up we live in the 21st century now hun.

Yeesh! Done.....

I am with perdue on this one. Considering your theories are based on the porn industry I will disregard them. You are right it is just a skin condition but it is definitely not something to simply laugh at. The outbreaks and social stigma is not something I would wish on anyone. You are obviously quite happy to pass it on to who ever will sleep with you but please remember they may not be as confident and you are and the diagnosis may well ruin their romantic life forever.

So what just move onto the next woman. It's attitudes like that responsible for spreading this disease. If the person infected doesn't care if they spread it, then they are less likely to inform those they are sleeping with especially occasionally or one timers.

Only hot people have herpes hey.....Ridiculous comment. You are supposed to be an educated man.....This is so superficial. A person who has only slept with one person can catch the disease as easily an someone who has had many partners its simply that a person who sleeps with many is statistically more likely to be exposed. You don't have to be hot to be promiscuous especially when you are a women. I am not but a pretty sure as long as you're not hideous, easy sex is appealing to any man especially those who objectify women as you seem too.

I hope you enjoy this forum. There are so many lovely people here. Many of them are having trouble dealing with the diagnosis and need support. I hope you stay positive about your diagnosis. Please disclose your conditions to possible partners. It is really important to at least give them the choice even if you don't feel it's the end of the world.

Good luck with your journey

In other words...I probably was going to get this virus anyway from fucking a good-looking club girl at some point. After I've come to understand this it's made me realize my life is not over, far from it...and that I could still walk into a bar, pickup the hottest chick, disclose my health conditions before sex, and probably more than likely everything will turn out positive anyway.

I've only had herpes for two months. I hate to say it, but before herpes, I would have turned you down, and yeah, I'm pretty much the hottest chick when I step out to a lounge or pub. I think even though my opinion is only one, it's something to consider before you put your plan into action so you don't get stepped on by stilettos.

It's not a minor skin infection to all. Trust me. It REALLY depends where it likes to invade at. Try having your anus cleave open from multiple non-healing sores because they're torn every time you have a bowl movement. I have to constantly disinfect the anus when it splits open like that so it doesn't become infected with my own waste. Do not tell me about minor skin infection, or I will further describe in brutal detail my experiences with herpes.

Um, women get yeast infections like by sneezing. Jk, but seriously, no, we get yeast infections relatively easily, and it's not an "ugly persons infection" or anything close to it. Most of the time, it's cause by sex. So....I see logic holes. And as far as being hot and whoreish! .... That... tends to be true... I wish I could say other wise, I really do, but I can't. But still, it doesn't mean we don't have standards, or know what a prick is. So, try not to come off douchy, and still but her tonssss of drinks... I have a feeling she'll need them.

Your childish comments only make it that much more concerning that you are an educator of children.

I hope this journey with your acceptance of your virus soon leads to somewhere that you will feel less opt to rant and make excuses for risky behavior.

I chose not to comment on the many other disturbing comments you have made, but felt compelled to point out how you conduct yourself as a teacher not only impacts on the young ladies you degrade in your comments but it also can lead to your poor choices affecting your chosen career. Teachers have a code of ethics that most of them follow, and in many states sexual relationships with an 18 year old whether you teach them or not, in your district or not, could cost you your job. An educated and sound minded person would agree that it's just never worth the risk.

I noticed a lot of drivel in your last post directed at me. I have no comments on any of it because I simply chose to skim over it, as it was clearly you making excuses for yourself and was not worth my attention.

I would suggest that you first try to get a grip on yourself and your condition before you inflict your social delusions and your condition on another person. You are right to accept the virus as not a big deal (to you) because it is not the end of the world to have it. To another person, however, it may be both physically and psychologically a very big deal. Take a peak at some of the rants posted within these forums, where people contemplate suicide and seek support. You may have done a little research on the virus and it's stigma, but I suggest you do a little more research on the rest of the world before you write so loosely about the herpes virus, human nature, and women.

I also want to sincerely encourage you to seek therapy, if you have not already. In spite of your delusions and rudeness, Dorian, I do truly hope you gain a realistic perspective and direction with things. Between the lines in your original post, it sounds that you are really struggling and just looking for some way to cope. If you take a step back to make peace with yourself right now, the rest should fall into place. It is what will make you a catch to someone else. If you don't give yourself the proper time and focus to work through your acceptance and learning of your condition(s), you'll only seem and likely be, an unstable person. Perhaps these forums are part of the process for you, and you're venting and expressing theories without pausing to think about just how unreasonable some of it may sound to others who are in the "same boat" as you. Maybe I am just being hopeful that you're just very lost right now and you don't mean to come off as such a clueless and ignorant member of society.

I get so tired of reading that hsv is a minor thing or an inconvenience. For some it may but I also know if others that have outbreaks often and sometimes can be very bad.....minor I think not. I am a teacher as well and I have to endure the looks and under breath comments about my cold sores.... minor I think not.

Think about the women that get cervical cancer because of hpv. Most don't but some do. ..

Hsv and hpv can have life changing consequences not just lifestyle consequences

I was the 19 year old girl with the 28 year old guy...

Whatever floats your boat pal, but now that I am 22 I feel completely manipulated and betrayed by my ex. I don't think someone that much older period should be sleeping with girls that much younger, teacher or not. Adding your professional on top of it just makes it worse.

But I really loved the man, so at the same time that's on you and your life. I just got to seen the worst end of it and a lot of why I was so intrigued him with was his ability to manipulate a young woman and impress her. He was quite charming and exciting to someone so inexperienced with life. Too bad mine didn't disclose and instead blamed me for giving it to him...at least you are aware of what you have and I would HOPE let any of your partners know too...

What I took away from the initial post is that I can avoid all of the difficulty in future relationships by just limiting those future relationships to sex with my friendly neighborhood porn stars.

Or maybe porn stars all have herpes and they are appropriate role models so why is everyone making such a big deal out of this?

Or? Still not sure....

I AM pretty sure there aren't many men in their mid to late 20s who will take Dorian's post as a call to run out and have sex with their local girls volleyball team- as if his blessing was the one thing holding them back.

Hi Dorian,

I'm new here too.

Although I get what you're trying to say, that Herpes shouldn't be that life altering but the fact is it is. I do think we have to tread cautiously with any other person especially if we don't know their status regarding STDs. I think the easier route would be to connect with someone on-line that already has told their status than to go out to a club to hit the "Will I get sex tonight lottery?"

I don't agree with your deductions but again I think you were trying to take the sting out of all of this to show it isn't as bad as it seem and it's not, there is life after H.

I wanted to disagree with you on another matter. Now I'm not a doctor and I won't try to debate the stats you say you have on porn-stars but I did look at that clip you suggested and I wonder how you diagnosed her w/ having H? The few pics I've seen on-line at medical sites depicting H were very hard to tell by someone like me who isn't in the medical field. Matter of fact those pics usually are magnified to show an outbreak.

In that clip it shows the porn star's genital area but only a frontal view which doesn't include areas around the Labia which if I'm correct I've read is usually one of the areas for an outbreak for a woman. Lastly, she was clean shaven and it looked like it was recent. I can tell you being a female the times I shaved my private area you'll have small bumps like that due to he hair follicles snapping back in the skin producing bumps. It's the same concept of a man shaving his face and getting ingrown hair producing bumps. So if she shaved, instead of say waxing then you'll see those small bumps after. She also has then at the top of her thighs, wait before you go "See that's what it is." I also had hair that would grow extending out to my upper front area of my thighs which used to drive me crazy anytime I had to wear a swimsuit so I'd shave. This was all before I contracted H.

So your concept based on one porn star you suspect of having H just doesn't hold water nor is it any comfort knowing or entertaining that porn stars have any sort of STDs on a wide basis (I know many do and have in the past hence their industry doing more testing) since often times they also interact with every day citizens.

I promise!

@Kata33 what do you mean by odd sensation when passing urine?  If I may ask where was location of your outbreak?
    • Kata33
@CHTJust a positive result, no numbers were mentioned, no suggestion of another test. Why would these be important? Sores all healed, feeling better each day, though I still have some residual soreness, odd sensations when passing urine etc, and I get tired/achy if I'm too active. But it's only been two weeks, so I guess that's to be expected? Thank you so much for all if your responses, it is so much appreciated!

Hi Kata.... sorry for the not so good news....I believe you said it was a swab test, correct?  Did the results come with a number or just a "positive" for HSV2?  Did your doctor suggest taking an IgG antibody test at some point?   Are you doing okay?

I wrote it for you, your wife and all viewers struggling with hsv. Since you don’t know much about hsv, and many believe it is mild. It is definitely not mild for many people, usually women suffer the worst. It’s good to learn from veterans who have researched this topic for years.
