muscle weakness

I have wondered about something over the years. I have over all muscle pain. More in certain areas. I know a doctor would say I have fibro. Already been told I have arthritis. I have OB often. By that I mean 1 every 2 months. They don't seem to be as bad as some people describe. Some times are just like an itch but I will get a worse one here and there. I want to exercise but my muscle feel weak all the time. I just wonder if there is any connection with herpes and feeling like my muscles hurt or are over worked all the time. I hate to think what I am going to feel like in the future if things continue to get worse. I have ask my doctor and he doesn't really have an answer. I saw a Rhumetologist and was told I have arthritis. This feels to me like muscle pain. On testing blood work I am positive for 1 and 2. I have never had a cold sore though so not sure if that test is coming from exposure from with mouth to mouth contact or if its herpes 1 in the genital area. I was married 12 years when I had my first outbreak. My husband never had them didn't test positive for it. I know it had to come about before getting married. I never saw herpes or cold sore on anyone I was kissing or having sex with. So I have no idea really how I contacted them. I know now people can carry them and not have an OBs I know that is true. Just wonder if others with herpes have muscle weakness alot and have found it connected to herpes.

I don't have muscle pain but find before symptoms start, I feel really tired...sometimes dizzy for a short time. I do exercise regularly and play a sport a couple times a week. Do you walk regularly?

I have had Herpes type 2 for 14 years. I have not had problems with muscle pain, but Statins affected my muscles severely & I had to stop taking them. Are you on Satins? Has the doctor ruled out Polymyalgia Rheumatica? It can affect many of the muscles in the body, my mother in law has had it for years.

I was prescribe statins am suppose to be taking them. I didn't because of muscle pain I already have. I didn't want to even change something that might make me feel worse.

I don't know anything about Polymyalgia Rheumatica. I do have regular arthritis my sister has rheumtoid arthritis. I have inner ear problem also makes me dizzy. I do worry about needing to be on statins though. Don't want a heart attack or stroke. thanks

hello all, update... so the white ulcer inside started around january 4... and today it is still there... no burning while i pee, just a constant mild irritation feel, no other symptoms i went back to get retested 2/12 so 2.5 months after exposure... including HSV, HIV, gon, chlam, everything came back negative... the doctor thinks it's some form of chlamydia, he gave my doxy for 10 days is it too soon to tell if i have HSV? is it possible to have an ulcer inside the urethra and be fungal or bacterial?

Probably not many.  I'm going to change my twitter symbol to the copper ribbon at least.

okay! I guess I will just start at the basic dosage of vitamin C and go up every week little ? I take 1500 mg of super lysine like the bottle says and it still gives me gas and diarrhea. hoping it will pass if not I'll drop down to 2 a day! I really appreciate the advice! i know we would all.do ANYTNING to not have OB  at the moment idc about stigmas od boyfriends or dating or sex....I just care about FEELING healthy in my own skin. this is my one and only life

That sounds like a good place to begin.  The lysine worked really well for me for about a year and a half.  Then things got steadily worse for me and nothing worked until vitamin C.  My immune system is not that great even tho i take care of myself, so u may have good luck if u have a decent one.  With the vitamin c, u must 1) take it at intervals throughout the day, not all at once 2) dont increase the amount u r taking too fast 3) it will give u gas at higher doses and even diarrhea if u go crazy with it. These r signs to lower your dose!  If u can just control your OB's with vitamin c and lysine or anything else, maybe a cure will finally become available.
