Transmission rates are low. 3 out 4 four guys you have kissed had oral HSV-1. Many people already have HSV-1 and do not know it.
I agree though that the value of a relationship should be judged without herpes being an issue.
So where do you get your calories from then? You've cut out most carbs and you don't mention much about fats to replace them.. where do you get your energy? You probably felt decent on your birthday with the cheesecake. If you're not replacing the calories you've cut out then it's no wonder you are lethargic.
Do you get the lethargy before, during, or after the outbreak symptoms? I just finished taking the 2x a day for 3 days regime and the lethargy just kicked in. I'm planning on taking 1x 500mg a day from this point forth.
I'm noticing headaches too... I'd love to have my pre-H self back: full of energy, vigor, stamina. People know me as the guy with infinite energy. Hope that's not gonna change once these first few months after the primary outbreak are over. Keeping strong.
I've cut out all starches/wheat products completely as of 2-3 weeks ago. No rice, no pasta, no bread, no noodles, no oatmeal or grains, no alcohol, no chocolate, no nuts or seeds... that's the major change in my diet, really. I read that those contain high arginine:lysine ratios. Eating mostly greens, salads, chicken/fish, lots of vegetables, lots of dairy, had some cheese cake for my birthday. I've stopped exercising for 3 weeks since this thing hit me because the lymph nodes around my groin are swollen, but I'm going to start working out again this week.
I used to work out HARD. I'm in great shape, I can feel my body slowing down now... I can't wait to get back on track again.
I think you are being fair. Just because 80% have hsv1 doesnt take away the fact you have this. And honestly i dont know many people who ive come across with oral herpes else i would have it myself and ive kissed lots of guys.
Its not about how he can make it up to you its how he treats you in general
What do you think? Am I really being too harsh? What could he do to make this up to me? I am open to new perspectives, sorry if I don't sounds like I am...I am just upset but I am receptive, or at least trying to be.
He doesn't know where he has it- it could either be on his mouth or his genitals. He has never had any symptoms, so there's no way for him to know the location...
I doubt that he has it on his mouth, because why didn't I get it on my mouth, instead of on my genitals?
He should properly informed himself on HSV1 in order to have the correct knowledge and information, instead of telling me everything was "OK." It clearly wasn't! Now I have an STD, and I have gotten multiple outbreaks on my vagina...
Maybe it seems like I am being too harsh...but I feel like he could have prevented this. He dated a girl right before he dated me, that was going through a primary HSV2 outbreak... but he never mentioned this to me, until I was going through my own outbreak. I feel like he should have at least MENTIONED to me that he dated someone with herpes in the past! I also think he should have researched HSV1 and HSV2 thoroughly since his girlfriend at the time was going through a herpes outbreak...
He could at least pay for all my doctor fees...which amount to approx. $400....
