Herpes simplex of cornea cure

I had herpes simplex of the cornea 30 years ago and was treated with cobra venum for 3 days and the local eye doctors at the Univ. of Washington and the Swedish Hospital in Seattle thought it was a miracle . No sign of active virus and it has never returned.

Has anyone else tried cobra venum?

Jim :)

Hi,

My name is Jim, I am 69 years old now. I live in Bremerton, Washington. When I was about 30 years old, I came down with herpes simplex of the cornea. I went to several different doctors and they had me put cortizone drops in my eye. I suffered for about two years with flare ups and headaches and was in the process of losing my sight in my left affected eye.

One doctor told me that cortizone was all they had to use and that it really was like adding fuel to the fire.

Then one day I happened to be listening to a Seattle radio station and they had a program on about alternative medicine. This is my (miracle story).

I phoned in and and spoke with a doctor I believe his name was Dr. Alsleben from the Alsleben Schute Foundation in Anaheim, Calif.

Don't know if I spelled it correctly. He told me to call back after the program and he would tell me where I could get help.

I called and he told me of a doctor in Florida. I phoned the doctor in Florida. His name was Dr. Sanders from Sanders Medical Research Foundation.

He ask me how I had heard about him and I told him and he was very skeptical at first saying that he was not really working with herpes simplex now but would take me for humanitarian reasons. He said I would have to fly there to get treatment. At thattime I was going to the Univ. Of Washington and the Swedish hospital a couple times a week for treatments with cortizone and had been for months with my sight gradually going away. I had deep scaring of the cornea.

My young wife and I flew to Florida. I was injected in my rear end once or twice a day for three days with cobra venum.

We returned to Seattle and to the doctors at the UW and Sweedish hospital and they thought it was a miracle. ( No sign of any active herpes simples at all after only 3 days of cobra venum treatment) I could not have a cornea transplant until the virus was gone. This was really great news.

I had the transplant but the transplant kept rejecting. This went on for several months . Then I had a skin rash on my hand (not related to herpes ) O went to a skin specialist and happened to tell him about my corneal transplant that kept rejecting and he ask if I ever had allergy tests. I said no and he ask what medicine I was using in my eye and he did a patch test on my back and I broke out from the allergy test to the preservatives in the eye medicine. I gave the information to Dr. Chandler at the UW and ask him why he did not think of that and he said it was to simple and that they were looking for somethin more exotic. The eye medice drops were haulted and my eye healed.

I found out that Dr. Sanders in Florida was a Nobel prize nominee and had 2 or 3 Presidential awards for his work in medicine and that Dr. Sanders had honorary degrees from several Eastern Universitys.

Dr. Sanders was working at the Sander Medical Research Foundation .

Dr. Sanders gave me a medical write up about his cobra venum from Wayne State Univ. The medical writeup says in treating with cobra venum for herpes simplex that out of 500 cases in 5 years there were only 2 or 3 reoccurances. This was really amazing. Dr. Sanders gave up on trying to get it to market. The reason he told me was that the drug companies would not make enough money bebause there were not enough people with it.

I am 69 years old now and happened to break my glasses the other day and noticed the vision was not that great in the right eye . I told this new doctor my story and he said he sees about 100 patients with herpes simplex a month.

I am going to have a new corneal transplant next month without the preservative thimerisol in eye drops. It has since been banned.

You can do a search for Dr. Murray Sanders and Cobra venum in the treatment of herpes simplex on the web. Dr. Sanders was very old when I saw him way back then.

It is really pathetic to know about this cure and the drug companies not marketing it with so many suffering.

It turned out to be my miracle.

Good Luck,

Jim

Wow thanks for sharing that story. That is amazing. Seems the venom might fight hsv in other parts of the body.

There would definitely be no shortage of people wanting this treatment/cure. Cobra venom is probably not patentable so the drug companies can't profit from it. I firmly believe there is a cure out there. It's just not getting past the special interests who manipulate the process for financial gain.

Do you know which type (HSV1 or HSV2) herpes you have and if it was oral or genital, as far as the origintation of the eye infection? Did you spread the virus to the eye externally or did the virus move through the bloodstream to the eye?

Good luck with the surgery, and let us know how it goes!

Recurrent Herpes Simplex Of The Cornea Cure

Wow! I found the medical writeup given to me by Dr. Sanders when he administered the cobra venom that curred me. The herpes that I had only affected the eye. Dr. Sanders told me that people that get cold sores and fever blisters type herpes almost never get herpes simplex of the cornea, they do not know why.

The title of the medical article Given me is --

The Use Of Sanders Neurotoxoid 1 (Modified Snake Venom) in the Treatment of Recurrent Herpes Simplex of the Cornea.

This article reprinted from the Sothern Medical Journal of the Sothern medical Association , Volume 33 number 4 September 1962 Copyright 1962 by Sothern Medical Association, Birmingham, Alabama. I wish I could print the whole article as it is very interesting but 4 pages long.

I am also very interest in a company in Alberta, Canada that is working on a herpes and cancer cure. It looks very promising, they have several patents. I have purchased a little of their stock also. The company is called Oncolytic Biotech. Stock symbol is ONCY.

Good luck,

Jim

In my previous post , the article from Dr. Sanders I have says Modified Snake Venom so they most likely removed the poison.

I was very lucky to have him take me for humanitarian reasons because he had given up trying to get it marketed.

He told me when I arrived that he was working w to find a cure for Lou Gehrigs disease. Or (Amitrophic Lateral scherlosis )

He said that when a cobra bites you that the venom goes directly to the central nervous system. The same thing happens when you contract Lou Gehrigs disease, the disease attacks the central nervous system. Dr. Sanders said that in trying to find a cure he was using the cobra venom as a taxi cab or carrier to reach the central nervoud system in order to find a cure.

When I arrived I met one of his patients who owned a Concrete company in St. Louis. It was the most pitiful thing I had ever seen. They said the week before he had been driving truck at his company and just a week later he was in this wheel chair completely paralyzed , the only thing that moved was his eyes and they were feeding him through his veins. They said after a few days with cobra venom treatment they had him eating. Evidently a cure was never found. The people that I spoke with there really had a lot of praise for Dr. Sanders, they said he never had a office for patients to visit but that he worked long hours and traveled to the homes in the area to treat his patients.

After I arrived home cured, I phoned Dr. Sanders and ask if I could send him some money and he replied that he was a medical research foundation and could not accept anything but if I would like I could donate to Lou Gehrig research.

Dr. Sanders was so upset that he could not get his Herpes treatment marketed that he said that if he ever came down with any dread disease he would not stay in the USA because of the restrictions. I heard a few years later that he moved to Mexico to practice alternative medicine.

Regards,

Jim

I'm curious as to which herpes virus you contracted in your corneas and if you had experienced hsv ob's prior to the infection in your eyes? how long?

If so what is that status?

Also curious if you just found our forum or is there another reason you are sharing this info? don't get me wrong I find the information you provided fascinating and any successful treatment is something to celebrate.

share more.

I was told years ago that I had herpes typ1 in my left eye only. The doc said it is the same virus that causes cold sores anf fever blisters. He also said they don't know why but people that usually have them around the mouth usually never get it in the eye.

I dropped my glasses the other day and realized I could hardly see out of the right eye. I had the cornea transplant as well as a lens implant in that eye.

The herpes has never returned since the cobra venom treatment in the earky 70's There is a lot of scarring on the cornea from years ago so the doc suggested a new cornea which is good news for me. I had a very thick lens in my glasses with that eye and too much astigmatizm .

I really feel bad for others that are suffering with herpes simplex of the cornea and so I searched on the web to find this site in hopes that someone else may bve able to find this modified cobra venom . As doctor Murray Sanders said there were only 2 0r 3 reoccurances in 5 years. And this new doc that will do the transplant says he see's about 100 patients a month with this problem and no cure yet.

Such a crime that cobra venom is not widely available.

Thank you

Thank you for sharing this information about the snake venom treatment.

anti-venom is made from snake venom. So I don't see why the modified snake venom couldn't be made to cure herpes. Maybe it not be something that you can get a perceptions for, but that the doctor would have to give you treatments. It sure would help to decrease the amount of people that have it, and keep spreading it.

Has anyone else used his research and tried to do anything with it? Maybe it would take some of the bureaucrats to get Herpes before they will do something about it, but hopefully it will happen someday.

This is very interesting. Thanks again.

Angel

I had an IGG test  and the ranges were out of range and high  HSV 1 was 42 and HSV 2 was 19 so I guess it was accurate but the problem now is I can't figure out when or who I got it from. In 2018 to 2019 when I was with my ex I was STD tested but not sure if herpes was included but my ex was supposed to get tested but refused. I experienced some trauma with him and didn't date until a year and a half later so I'm confused. The guy I dated after the ex who didn't want to be tested I told them a week ago about my results he was trying to be there for me and understanding,I told him to get tested but to request a herpes blood test , because he had no noticeable lesions or bumps ever is what he said and I never noticed any on him now he has shut down all his social media and I can't reach him. Hoping he's okay, I feel bad because in 2018 I did have what I was told it was an abrasion that tingled but at my doctor the day I was tested they told me it wasn't herpes but I think it was only a visible diagnosis. I keep having it reoccur from time to time

Hello "FeelingLost".... your fears and concerns are understandable but, nothing you've described regarding the sexual encounter would cause you to contract herpes.... further, your symptoms are not herpes related.  Best of all, your doctor is correct, your results don't show any herpes here.  You can relax.... definitely have your GP take a look at things and see what might be causing the symptoms but, again, none of them are typical herpes related.  I wish you the best in terms of talking to your wife about this encounter.... hopefully she will understand and you both can work through this amicably.  We all make mistakes.... be careful not to beat yourself up too hard over this.... you can become so racked with guilt that you start imagining physical symptoms.  Best of luck.... and take care..... come back to the site if you have questions.

Hi (I’m really scared and feel really disappointed in myself and worried about my future), I had oral sex with a condom almost 3 weeks ago and a massage parlor. I also received a hand job at the same time prior to putting a condom on, also may have rubbed my penis on her back a little. Did not touch her genitals I don’t recall any sores on her back. After the event she handed me a pice of TP and after I took off the condom I wiped my penis head to clear away the excess ejaculation…this is where I suspect I got infected, she had just gone pee and wiped and maybe touched a sore or something and then I got it on my penis from the tp? Idk. I’m just flailing.   After this I’ve had discomfort on the skin below the head of my penis and 4 bumps for 2 weeks now, the bumps don’t seem to have changed in size. I also had frequent urination for about a week and have had dull pain in my groin on and off. I also have some pins and needles on the sides of my abdomen/trunk that get worse when I go out in the heat or get dehydrated. I’ve had a lot of trouble sleeping, likely due to guilt and shame and worry about the future.   so I got one test done at 10 days from the event (idk know if this can tell me anything… the doctor assured me it was 100% correct and I don’t have herpes. I was not physically examined). I got a full panel std. neg for everything. HSV-1 results: IgG 0.3 / HSV-2 IgG 0.9 hsv-1 IgM = 2.2 hsv-2 IgM = 3.0 (Reference V. Negative: Less than 9.0 Borderline: 9.0 to 11.0 Positive: Greater than 11.0) I have an appointment with my GP on Thursday, hoping he can help. Will likely go to a std testing service tomorrow to see if I can get in an antiviral proactively. Plan to get tested again this week.
