Hey lovey and welcome :hithere: I am also a long timer with the h, 26 years here and still kicking it , Lol.. It is nice to see a fresh face and I hope to read your story soon when you feel up to posting it. Also any experiences you may have had or you partner's status. Please let us know. Thank you Acesheart 1 for the greeting. (I like your "gift" quote above). I got on this site because I like to keep up on the latest medical news on the cure of H particularly and ran across the support network. I thought I adjusted to this situation and it really does not affect my life (I almost forget I have this) until I meet someone that I really like and have to think about telling him about this situation and that sucks! (LOL) I have not really dated since I found out summer of 2012. I have met some people on PS site, but none were in my home town, so we end up just phone buddies. So I thought I could find some support on here. lovey3000:)

Honey here is a wonderful way to start the "Talk" it is by another Moderator and he has both h1 & h2 he gives this talk and has never been refused or turned down. I don't give the talk , my hubby don't let me date :giggle: I gave it 23years ago and he waited 2 yrs for me to be emotionally & physically ready before we ever had sexy times. He was looking for a partner and did not want a msrightnow, but rather a Mrs.Rightfor Me :) . He found it and a whole lot of baggage with it. He accepted my h way before I did. Since I was outed to the whole DAMN world by my ex, he knew I had a virus and heard what was being said, he chose me just as I chose him. You will find many here with stories like yours and mine and some are still looking too. Have you thought of posting in the Support Buddies Section Where Y'all from ? This is a great place to meet others that are or maybe closer to your state too. Yes, I no longer think of the herps except when I come here and then I still feel safer than I did back then. Back 26 years ago we had no Internets so it was lonely and no support or information either so definitely harder than today's newly diagnosed. You will get what you need here to help educate you and keep you up to date on the Herpes Treatments and Cures sections and also you will hear from many who are like me, we don't need a cure we have decided, chosen to live :) . Hugs Truly, Aces . Have you read this book www.westoverheights.com it is very good and can help ease some of your worries. Take care Aces :itllbeok: http://www.herpes-coldsores.com/messageforum/threads/how-i-give-the-talk.52875/unread
