In need of people to talk to

Recommended Posts

I've been hsv-2 positive for a few weeks now, and at first I was ok with it, took it very well, but it just keeps getting worse, everything keeps crumbling beneath me, everyone who said they would be there for me isn't . I just need some people who understand this . So yea, I guess if anyone wants to help a girl on the verge of breaking, here's your chance . :/

Thank you, I don't blame people for not understanding, it's a really confusing thing, atleast I think it is . I'm just hoping this is the right step to learning to love myself and get life moving again .

mixedemotions, welcome to the forum. You are not alone in feeling the way you do. The initial shock can be overwhelming for a lot of people. If you can try to keep it in perspective though it should help. Remember you have HSV not cancer. For most people, you can live a very healthy and normal life with HSV. If it helps think of it as getting the chicken pox every other month. Again, I know the initial shock may not let you see it that way but try to understand that having HSV is not the end of the world. You will have sex again, you will find someone who loves you, you will learn to deal with this, I guarantee. It just takes time.

I've been GHSV2 positive for 14 years and I live a normal life. I don't tell anyone about my gift unless I plan to be intimate with them or I feel that I can trust them because they have an open mind. If I need to vent or need advice, I come here. I've met quite a few people who are really awesome people and hope you do the same. Keep your head up and always love yourself. Best wishes.

You can message me at any time.. I'm always on here. I'm also hsv2 positive. I could use someone to talk to as well. Im also a female and it seems easier for females to talk to each other about this.. Esp with different symptoms.

I’ve had herpes for over 25 years and the last 15(ish) years all my recurrences except 1 have been on one side and usually in the same place. Just at the start of my left outer labia. Which does help me notice the start of a recurrence a bit better, but not always.

Hang on @tweetsoc this is just self-indulgent self-delusion. What is super tricky about HSV? You're only saying that because of the super trick situation you are in having cheated on your partner, stop deflecting, how does that help anyone least of all yourself? You do not know you are going through an issue with HSV; it is pretty much certain you are not.

The first article is from 'The Sun' which is just a sensationalist rag. The second article deals with a correlation between HSV-2 and cardiovascular issues that may cause ED. Did you actually read it? NONE of the participants experienced ED at the time of infection and 0.5% self reported EDS after 12 months. How does that fit with your 9 days. Herpes infections do not cause orchitis, that's just a myth that is started and perpetuated by people on web forums. There is no medical evidence of this. It doesn't matter if you agree or disagree with me on HSV. There is no subjectivity in the facts that I present.

None of this changes the fact that: you cheated on your partner and you can't cope with that; and you do NOT have genital HSV. Yes I do have to lecture about messing up because you are not dealing with it. You are creating a world of confusion from fake and/or obscure accounts of HSV in order to not deal with it. Whether you consider it nasty or not is exactly the point - this is the key thing that is wrong with you - when are you going to address - man up! Who has tested years later despite a negative WB?

Thanks tweetsoc,  I haven't taken anything but ibuprofen. My doctor won't give me anything without the lab work. I get tested on the 17th and if negative again 4 weeks after that  I will look into prostatitis and definitely ask him about it. Best of luck to you. I hope you get some relief. Are your symptoms constant or do they come and go? It's strange how the brain works. Sometimes this drives me crazy and sometimes I have just got used to the feeling of hot sauce in my pants. good luck to you.
