the only thing about reading the list of symptoms above regarding eye herpes, is that most, if not all, of the symptoms can also be pink eye, allergies, etc. as with lots of symptoms for one issue, they can be symptoms for other issues:( i too, always worry now, because i not only wear contact lenses, i am always rubbing, touching my eyes, even though i was always a germ freak and always wash my hands and always keep purell handy, it is still on my mind now that i too have herpes. is eye herpes rare i wonder?

thats what i'm always tellin myself, that anything could be anything...

but even with that logic, it COULD be herp.. so i'm just freakin out all the time

i seem to notice wiping sleep out of my eyes more then before

it could just be that i'm way more aware of my eyes all the time

i do it with my fingers from time to time..

i'll think i got it on a finger cuz it tingles or feels funny so i'll focus on it or treat it different then the rest of my hand and it feels weird all day/night

then i sleep and its fine and i realise its probably because of all the mental stimulation of that area... you cant think 'fingertip fingertip fingertip' all day and NOT have sensations in it

my roommate told me to relax..that i have 1 thing not a million things..

just fucked that i always gotta worry that this '1 thing' might multiply

Last sunday at the beach, I rubbed my eyes because it they felt dry and tired from the sun and breeze, and these days I have this itchyness and red on both of my eyes' outer corner... I add some allergy eye drops to it, even used some diluted alcohol on them--ouch they hurt! So far I have not found solution to it... Any ideas? From another thread, they said it is the tingling sensation that identify itself as herpes, because it is nerve related... again, that was from a doctor, how much we can trust them now?

could be that the red and itchiness and soreness is from the initial day at the beach and your home remedies? try to leave them alone (i know, alot easier said than done!) for a few days, no touching, no drops, etc. and see what happens. this virus does play dirty games with our minds.

Hello there @momma267 and welcome. There is no reason to believe that what you have there is other than a pressure sore, something that has emerged from rubbing with clothing or butt cheeks and exacerbated by bacteria or yeast.  Note that the first you’d learn of herpes is unlikely to be on your butt, instead where it enters your body, this is usually within the vaginal lips for females.

So to begin with, I am 26 and have been with the same partner for 8 years. I have only been with three people ever, one completely protected and the other we were both our firsts. I got this rash on my but while pregnant and my doctor said she was testing for it and I'm so confused. I've had two babies, breastfeed, and never had anything as much as a cold sore. Does this look like something anyone has experienced? I used fragrant soap down there and am hoping it's contact dermatitis or a heat rash from sweating and gaining so much weight.  Advice would be helpful. I'm stressing out a bit as I am pregnant. Hi, it is me again, apologies for the recent influx of posts. I've noticed a slightly raised area on the middle of my top lip with what i feel are some bumps. i do have a habit of biting my lips a fair bit and this area is frequented by my teeth. I haven't noticed any unusual/abnormal tingling or burning or pain sensations. the photos are a bit difficult to focus on them but do these seem like the start of cold sores? note: I will be visiting the drs for an std checkup in the coming week. https://imgur.com/gallery/YLVA5us

To give everyone confidence that it wasn’t herpes related and conclude as the doctor did that it was a dermatitis issue to refer back to the dermatologist to continue with investigations.
