She's Russian but she was a hottie

I got an email last week from a woman in Yoshkar-Ola Russia. 28 years old, lives with her sister, and interested in coming to the US. Having been to Russia to visit my ex-wife I could see why.

She replied to my email today and enclosed a photo. Immediately my radar switched on. It seems "Irina" uses the same photo that "Tatyana" uses on another site.

No requests for $$$ yet but that would have been only a matter of time.

She was a hottie though....whoever she was.

Watch out there laddie.....how much to nice southern boys cost?!?! (did you see either of these movies? If so, then you will understand my question!!)

I'm afraid I didn't see either film.

I love horror films...but these were just crazy. However, interesting, more along the lines of the "SAW" movies or something like High Tension.

Watch the first one, then you will see what I mean! yikes!!! ;-)

Oooooh watch out for those Russian hotties!

I dated a russian guy in my early twenties and met a large portian of the russian community here. One woman I met found herself a nice middle aged man, married him, and took him to the cleaners!!!!

When we'd be out shopping (before she found the husband) she would see something she wanted and would say "I Vant, But I Can't"

I'm not saying all russians are bad...that's where my peeps are from.

Though many from there are great scam artists...Cause when you have nothing, you have nothing to lose.

I know all about that........where do you think I picked up herpes?

However, MOST Russians are great people and a lot (not all--but a lot) of the women will overlook superficialities like my height. You simply have to find a genuine one.

I'm trying my best to decide whether or not I should call her out on this.

I didn't mention it but I did wonder about it. A lot of C-sections are as a result of herpes and one of the women was on an std dating site---it just wasn't the one who wrote me directly.

If the same name was used I would have taken that as a sign of legitimacy.

I'm thinkng that would have been a teensy weensy baby from a scar that size?

Oh, forget the stupid scar. I now have a SECOND one writing me. This one could possibly be legitimate but I will most likely be rather brusque.

Some scammers appear to have no idea how to do this. One of them wrote and I began to get suspicious so I told her(or him...you never know) that I had herpes. The response was that a doctor in her village could cure it with a $3 injection.

You can't make up stories like that.

Well, my divorce attorney also had herpes and he got it the way most Americans got it. By using poor judgement (not that my choice of mates wasn't poor judgement either).

I didn't meet her through an agency. We simply met over the internet in a newsgroup and started writing. I went to Russia and met her kids and was blown away. The girl is now 22 and finishing a year studying in Paris.

There are many Russian-American relationships that work. Mine didn;t because she simply wasn't honest---and you can be a liar in any nationality.

hmm these russians are just after a better life . cant blame em, and if they can make sumone happy go for it..

I do not blame the ones who are trying to improve their lot. I do blame the ones who do not seem to care who they hurt while getting what they want.

Well, I forgot to do the most logical thing with the second Russian....put her e-mail into Google. It came back as a known scammer. Another thing that tipped me off was her e-mail about winning the lottery.

She wasn't bad either......although the scammer obviously doesn't look like this.

I really have about had it and am considering just throwing in the towel. None of this is worth the strain.

The real scammer is probably some huge smelly guy named Boris who has his fat ass in front of the computer, Drinking wodka and eating salted pork!!

Most likely.

Herpes is usually what I throw at them when I want them to go the hell away. It doesn't always work though. One scammer said that, if I came to her(?) town outside of Moscow, a local doctor she(?) knew (nudge, nudge, wink, wink) could cure it for $3 USD.

These scumbags are adaptable and I've no doubt the scammer pulled the $3 crap on someone with another medical condition. I had also wondered how they got letters off so fast but they tend to use an automated mailing system with canned letter templates. That's how so many guys get similar letters.

HEY! my friend is russian lol. They are not all bad just some of the girls tend to be rather kinky... but whats wrong with that?

There is nothing wrong with being a little kinky as long as you don't force it on someone else. Kinkiness isn't the issue however.

These people live to take advantage of lonely people and defraud them. I find that to be disgusting. Everyone has the right to some type of companionship without having to worry about being cheated.

And yes, the vast majority of Russian and Ukranian women are honest (I know quite a few) and there are some disreputable Americans running around loose.

If she did have a baby. Would that be a problem?

That depends on the individual. A good many eastern European women are trying to escape bad economic situations. If they have small children that only makes them more determined. A good mother is going to do what she can to provide for her child.

You just have to be sure that she does not view you solely as a meal ticket. You also have to be sure that you do not view her solely as a sex object. If you fall into those traps it will be a disaster. Mine was looking at the money aspect. The "little secret" she was hiding didn't help matters.

Hello there @momma267 and welcome. There is no reason to believe that what you have there is other than a pressure sore, something that has emerged from rubbing with clothing or butt cheeks and exacerbated by bacteria or yeast.  Note that the first you’d learn of herpes is unlikely to be on your butt, instead where it enters your body, this is usually within the vaginal lips for females.

So to begin with, I am 26 and have been with the same partner for 8 years. I have only been with three people ever, one completely protected and the other we were both our firsts. I got this rash on my but while pregnant and my doctor said she was testing for it and I'm so confused. I've had two babies, breastfeed, and never had anything as much as a cold sore. Does this look like something anyone has experienced? I used fragrant soap down there and am hoping it's contact dermatitis or a heat rash from sweating and gaining so much weight.  Advice would be helpful. I'm stressing out a bit as I am pregnant. @WilsoInAus could you kindly have a look :) also how long does it typically take for herpes blisters to develop into sores

Hi, it is me again, apologies for the recent influx of posts. I've noticed a slightly raised area on the middle of my top lip with what i feel are some bumps. i do have a habit of biting my lips a fair bit and this area is frequented by my teeth. I haven't noticed any unusual/abnormal tingling or burning or pain sensations. the photos are a bit difficult to focus on them but do these seem like the start of cold sores? note: I will be visiting the drs for an std checkup in the coming week. https://imgur.com/gallery/YLVA5us

To give everyone confidence that it wasn’t herpes related and conclude as the doctor did that it was a dermatitis issue to refer back to the dermatologist to continue with investigations.
