Oral HSV2???

For those of you here with oral HSV2, what are/were your exact symptoms? I'm going to copy and paste a post that I made a little over a year ago in another forum and I would like any feedback. Thanks, guys.

"I have had only 2 sexual partners in the past year. The first guy I gave oral sex to twice and slept with once. Nothing more. This was in Feb/Jan. Then I found out I was the other woman...The second guy I dated I slept with once and contracted genital warts from him. There was no oral. Anyway, every month a few days before my period I get really sick. I get extremely fatigued and run a temp of maybe 99 or so and my throat gets this pit of a blister in the same spot every time. Some months it will show up with another blister on the other side of my throat. This has been going on since May. I've been to doctors but they won't culture it. They just tell me its a virus and it will go away. But it keeps coming back like clock work. Every month...with my periods. And every month it affects more than just my throat. I mean, I feel it EVERYWHERE. I'm feeling it right now as I'm typing this. It comes on suddenly. Just this evening one second I was fine and the next my blood felt like hot lead. Now I'm developing the blister. And if this is a virus of any kind my body shows no signs of getting it under control. I can't afford a blood test. All I can do is come here and get your opinions. The only other thing I'm thinking it could be is an autoimmune disease (they run in the family)since I've been experiencing a whole laundry list of other symptoms including hair loss...everywhere. But I've NEVER heard of symptoms flaring up every month with periods. I don't know what to do or think. I'm embarrassed about coming here again. All I know is that I feel sick right now and I want to know why... Does this sound characteristic of ANYTHING but oral HSV-2??? Or is that exactly what it sounds like?"

I haven't had another episode in a long time. Plus I've had autoimmune disorders ruled out. What do you all think?

I also wanted to mention that when I made that post it was Sep. 24th. So by that time I'd been experiencing this monthly for 5 months. I also just got my blood drawn today to check for herpes but I'm here looking for advice, experiences, and comfort until I find out the results. I'm so scared because my bf, who I love very much, has told me that if I have this he will not be able to stay with me. He says that he loves me very much but feels he needs to protect himself. I'm just so terrified and heart broke. :'(

i have only had herpes for about 4 months, and each month, before my period, i get very bad back aches (worse than normal and any other during the month) and i get cramps in the back of my thighs. this virus is tricky, so it very well could be what you are experiencing. are you taking the prescribed vitamins and herbs? let us know when you get the blood results.

I think the lack of responses is more likely because it's just really hard to say. I've heard that herpes can activate during PMS, I guess the immune system is weaker then? Not really sure why. But herpes tends to act up whenever the immune system is weak, but that's the case for any virus. And any virus can pretty much give the symptoms you've listed. I haven't heard of herpes in the throat, but I'd guess it's possible. But it really could be anything.

I'm sure you love your boyfriend, but you really should think about whether it's worth being with someone who would drop you because of a virus. Even if this turns out to be nothing...who knows what could happen in the future with this guy.

I wouldn't be so sure. I mean it could be, but personally I'm not putting any money on it. Do you know if you already have type1? Theres a good chance that will be positive just because so many people have it, but I wouldn't know if that explains your condition or not. I haven't heard of people getting fevers because of oral type1.

To give some context I hve been suffering with this for the last 6/7 years this came about after I had varicella zoster on the inside of my body a week after I started getting clusters of spots on the top of my buttock they are not painful as such can be itchy at times but majority of the time I don’t feel it when I have an outbreak. I’ve been to various doctors who say it’s a fungal skin infection or a bacterial skin infection. I’ve asked if it’s herpes but they will say it’s not without even testing it.

Hello there @momma267 and welcome. There is no reason to believe that what you have there is other than a pressure sore, something that has emerged from rubbing with clothing or butt cheeks and exacerbated by bacteria or yeast.  Note that the first you’d learn of herpes is unlikely to be on your butt, instead where it enters your body, this is usually within the vaginal lips for females.

So to begin with, I am 26 and have been with the same partner for 8 years. I have only been with three people ever, one completely protected and the other we were both our firsts. I got this rash on my but while pregnant and my doctor said she was testing for it and I'm so confused. I've had two babies, breastfeed, and never had anything as much as a cold sore. Does this look like something anyone has experienced? I used fragrant soap down there and am hoping it's contact dermatitis or a heat rash from sweating and gaining so much weight.  Advice would be helpful. I'm stressing out a bit as I am pregnant. Hi, it is me again, apologies for the recent influx of posts. I've noticed a slightly raised area on the middle of my top lip with what i feel are some bumps. i do have a habit of biting my lips a fair bit and this area is frequented by my teeth. I haven't noticed any unusual/abnormal tingling or burning or pain sensations. the photos are a bit difficult to focus on them but do these seem like the start of cold sores? note: I will be visiting the drs for an std checkup in the coming week. https://imgur.com/gallery/YLVA5us
