Does Anyone Have My Problem?

Hello anyone out there. My name is Ms. D and I am new to this HSV thing. Just diagnosed this past Jan. and I tell you it has been a nightmare for me. My diet has been disrupted and I've already had 3 outbreaks since Jan. Lately, I've been getting these nagging headaches, which include stinging in my head, pulsing around my temples and fullness in the head. Does anyone else have this problem? I'm scared! I just had a CT scan today to see whats going on in my brain. My doc says it could be due to the virus, but we have to wait on the CT results. I'm just babbling now. Just wanted someone to feel sorry for me, I guess. Holla back.

hi ms. D and welcome. i am newly diagnosed also; got infected in march 2007. i was having terrible headaches, different from a normal everyday and/or pms headache and different from a sinus headache. i attributed it to this virus, along with all the other painful and uncomfortable symptoms. to date, everything has gotten better, and i thank God, i only had my first and only ob. hope your ct scan comes back normal.

Hi - I was infected in March also and have had the full feelings in my head as well. I was diagnosed almost a week ago after almost 4 months of being misdiagnosed by 5 doctors! I have only had the one breakout and didn't have blisters. I am praying, praying, that I don't get another but it's inevitable

I get them too. Sometimes they're not so bad, sometimes I need to lay down...I've never been a migrane sufferer, I just hope that this is something that will lessen as the virus gets older. Luckly, Tylenol and cold compresses do the trick.

I know that when I get an outbreak the Valtrex (I treat episodically right now) gives me crazy headaches. Perhaps you're having a side-effect of meds (I dunno if you're taking anything).

What were your symptoms if you had no blisters? I have a similar problem going on "down there" which is what really prompted me to get tested. I have no blisters but this bad internal burning that gets worse right before my periods...

I had vaginal burning on the inside so bad but that's all I had. But is landed me in the ER - That's why I was misdiagnosed I guess. Sigh, I'm trying to move on -

for me, no prescription meds; just the lysine, vit c, olive leaf, zinc, etc. my doctor only wants to prescribe something if i get continual obs. so far, only had one. (thank you God).

Glad I read this post. Been having a very mild ob the past few days (no bliters, just irritation), but also a dull on-again off-again headache that's bugged me the whole time. I hardly ever get headaches, and I don't take any prescription meds so this is really unusual. Never considered that it might come from the ob but maybe... thanks all.
