Skin problems

Was wondering if anyone had the problem of the affected area not completely going back to original color. Have been infected four past four months now and have had several OBs that were pretty small but in same area.

This site helped a lot with tips on shortening OB times but I always feel like this goddamn virus is right under my skin waiting. The area is always a little swollen and if I touch it too much i start to feel that tingling. Also, the skin around the area is still not returning to its original color (brown) where the small blisters were. They are this off white color that is noticeable when i'm not erect, just to remind me about this fu kin nightmare.

So far I take 1000 mg Lysine, vitamin C, Zinc daily, and about 1000mg valtrex when I have an OB. Oh and I use the Purell (thanks BlackWatch).

Any tips on improving my skin and pushing this virus back down my spine for some breathing room? I'm trying to stay positive but it sucks being alone and I can't bring myself to date again till I get this thing in order.

its created scar tissue. you can help it with numerous things like coco butter, vit e oil, emu oil etc... but it takes a while for a scar to fully heal but the more you treat it the faster it will do it then just looking at it everyday.

Thanks for the suggestion. I'll try that but I thought you are supposed to keep the area as dry as possible so I thought lotions and creams will make it too moist therefore causing another outbreak.

I got some cocoa butter which i'll try, if you or anyone else can suggest anything specific let me know.

you should keep it dry during a outbreak, so it helps draw out the puss and ozz and whatever else that is in the sores, so they can heal faster.

if you dont have any sores, its perfectly fine to slap some lotion on it.

Hello there @momma267 and welcome. There is no reason to believe that what you have there is other than a pressure sore, something that has emerged from rubbing with clothing or butt cheeks and exacerbated by bacteria or yeast.  Note that the first you’d learn of herpes is unlikely to be on your butt, instead where it enters your body, this is usually within the vaginal lips for females.

So to begin with, I am 26 and have been with the same partner for 8 years. I have only been with three people ever, one completely protected and the other we were both our firsts. I got this rash on my but while pregnant and my doctor said she was testing for it and I'm so confused. I've had two babies, breastfeed, and never had anything as much as a cold sore. Does this look like something anyone has experienced? I used fragrant soap down there and am hoping it's contact dermatitis or a heat rash from sweating and gaining so much weight.  Advice would be helpful. I'm stressing out a bit as I am pregnant. Hi, it is me again, apologies for the recent influx of posts. I've noticed a slightly raised area on the middle of my top lip with what i feel are some bumps. i do have a habit of biting my lips a fair bit and this area is frequented by my teeth. I haven't noticed any unusual/abnormal tingling or burning or pain sensations. the photos are a bit difficult to focus on them but do these seem like the start of cold sores? note: I will be visiting the drs for an std checkup in the coming week. https://imgur.com/gallery/YLVA5us

To give everyone confidence that it wasn’t herpes related and conclude as the doctor did that it was a dermatitis issue to refer back to the dermatologist to continue with investigations.
