I am having slight stinging/burning only (no lesions) in my vaginal area for 3 days now, but not in the area where the first lesions occured. What could that be? I am taking Valtrex daily but still a little stressed about this whole thing? Could my stressing be causing the irritation down below? Is it a sign of an ob?

Yes stress is one of the triggers....you're going thru a prodome!

The first sign of an upcoming occurrence, prodrome can occur from 30 minutes to a few days prior to an outbreak. Prodrome may include tingling, itching, and/or burning sensations at the site of impending outbreak, and/or shooting pains, numbness, aches, or other sensations in the lower back, buttocks, or thighs (in genital infections). Other possible symptoms are fever, headaches, soreness, and swollen lymph nodes. Prodrome may also include an onset of listlessness and irritability, as well as increased sensitivity to environmental factors. When these symptoms are present, the Herpes Virus is active and risk of transmission is high.

Stress, menstruation, depression, sexual intercourse, and immune-suppression are some factors that may trigger recurrent infection.

Ok so here’s my background.  I hade my first outbreak genitially about 2 months ago.  I got swabed positive for GHSV1. My blood tests were neg so I am assuming a new infection but who knows if I had it or not.  I been reading on here and other research. So I got oregano oil and started to use it on my lower back with coconut oil to dilute it.  I was putting the combo on and would use a couple large bandaids to apply it and keep it in place overnight.  Did it for about 5 days.  I peeled off my bandaids two days ago and had two sores where the sticky part is about an inch apart.  Does the oregano oil attract the virus to cause an outbreak like this in the spot on lower back or are the sores from irritation of possibly too much oregano oil?  Anyone have a clue if this is an outbreak and caused by putting the oil there?
