Hi there,

I think that I ve been having an OB for the past couple of days ( this is my 3rd ever so I didn't recognize it at first) but I have some pretty strange swelling near my vagina. I can't afford to go and see a doctor and I have no idea which medication I should take.

Has this ever happened to anyone? It looks like skin growths. Can you PLEASE tell me if it will just dissapear on its own?! Last time I didn't take any medication and everything just went away naturally...Will this just go completely? I feel deformed and it is so scary! Please help. Thanks!!!

There must be some kind of free STD clinic you could try to go to? I'd suggest that first since you don't know what you have exactly. I can't advise any medications since I'm not a doctor. If this went away before it may or may not again. Again, I strongly suggest finding a free clinic. Most major cities have them.

You don't tell what other symptoms of an outbreak you may also be having. IF you are having an HSV ob then you need to get to a doctor since there is no medications over the counter than will help this do more than heal somewhat faster but NOT suppress it at all.

My only practical suggestion would be to apply ice to the swollen area for 10 to 20 minutes several times a day... using a soft cloth or freezer bag to hold the ice in, as direct contact is too painful to tender skin. Take some ibuprofen or tylenol for pain and to reduce the inflammation until you can be seen be a doctor.

Do take good care and much luck to you, dear.

well...just to follow up on this and in case anyone needs an answer like me last week...swelling completely goes away and without any medication apparently ( It wasn't a severe case so I m not saying that everyone should do this.)

I m still very happy to have found the forum though! thanks everyone

Hello there @momma267 and welcome. There is no reason to believe that what you have there is other than a pressure sore, something that has emerged from rubbing with clothing or butt cheeks and exacerbated by bacteria or yeast.  Note that the first you’d learn of herpes is unlikely to be on your butt, instead where it enters your body, this is usually within the vaginal lips for females.

So to begin with, I am 26 and have been with the same partner for 8 years. I have only been with three people ever, one completely protected and the other we were both our firsts. I got this rash on my but while pregnant and my doctor said she was testing for it and I'm so confused. I've had two babies, breastfeed, and never had anything as much as a cold sore. Does this look like something anyone has experienced? I used fragrant soap down there and am hoping it's contact dermatitis or a heat rash from sweating and gaining so much weight.  Advice would be helpful. I'm stressing out a bit as I am pregnant. Hi, it is me again, apologies for the recent influx of posts. I've noticed a slightly raised area on the middle of my top lip with what i feel are some bumps. i do have a habit of biting my lips a fair bit and this area is frequented by my teeth. I haven't noticed any unusual/abnormal tingling or burning or pain sensations. the photos are a bit difficult to focus on them but do these seem like the start of cold sores? note: I will be visiting the drs for an std checkup in the coming week. https://imgur.com/gallery/YLVA5us

To give everyone confidence that it wasn’t herpes related and conclude as the doctor did that it was a dermatitis issue to refer back to the dermatologist to continue with investigations.
