For men, penis feels wet.

Recommended Posts

justanothersufferer

I have no idea how I got HSV-2, I was diagnosed in December and have been with the same person for 1.5 years. We had incredible sex every day until I was diagnosed. Being a faithful guy I did as much research as possible, and seems I'll never know how I got HSV-2.

Nevertheless, I had horrible flu like symptoms from almost the middle of December until the end of January. Body aches, leg, back pain, my upper body hurt ONLY on half of my body. I've been feeling better more recently and just wanted to ask. Have any guys felt like the tip of their dick is wet?

I can't describe it better then, when you get stiff and fluid comes out of the tip of your dick, you usually feel it. I feel like that almost all the time, I'm flaccid and looking at my dick, it's dry but feels wet. Does this happen to any other men?

I suppose it's neurological, and I don't feel it ALL the time but definitely for day or two every week.

Hey justanothersufferer, welcome. Im a female so I can't answer your questions. I did however wanted you to know that herpes simplex virus can stay dormant in the body for decades. If you have had any previous sexual partners, even just had oral sex, you could have had it for years. I have ghsv 2 for almost 28 yrs, I stayed dormant for 23 years straight! Just had my 2nd outbreak ever 3 yrs ago when my daughter was leaving the nest for college hours away from home. I knew it was worried, concerned and anxious, but I had no idea I was That Stressed. STRESS and ANXIETY are my #1 triggers.

May I ask how you were tested to be sure it is type 2, also has ur 1.5 year relationship partner ever tested? Have either of you ever had cold sores (h type 1) that can be transferred to the genital areas as well. Truly, Aces xo

I was diagnosed back in October and experienced the same feeling as well in the beginning. Felt wet, but was dry. I no longer feel this way and hopefully you will too see this go away soon.

Hi. Guy here as well. I face all the symptoms you faced but it's all gone already. Its my 2nd week of diagnose but probably 8 weeks of contracting it. So far I only have rashes on and off penis gland. Its unsightly but I believe my body is fighting it and I'm apply acryovir cream as well. Do you have rashes ?

justanothersufferer, are you saying that you have not had an outbreak on your penis? How were you diagnosed? What test did you have and what were the results?

I just reread your post.

If you have had pain in only half of your body that may have been a sign of shingles, another type of herpes virus. It ormally only affects either the right or ledt side of your body. The wet penis symptom doesn't necessarily jive with shingles as it's ususally only manifests itself in one particular part of the body and it normally causes severe pain in that part. I know, because I have had shingles. It may be worth checking into though.

Yea, I did get tested with a swab and it came back positive for HSV-2. Right after I was diagnosed my girlfriend had a blood test and she tested positive. However the test simply said "reactive", it didn't give any igg values so I don't know how conclusive that is. I've had coldsores since I was a kid, but I have to say in the last 3 years or so I haven't noticed one. My girlfriend said she's had coldsores before, but I've never seen her with one, she can't remember the last time she had one.

I really appreciate the reply.

Good to know, yea it seems to be less and less these days, maybe 4 hours a day. I'm really trying to get my life back on track and am starting to feel like I will soon as symptoms have been subsiding.

As for shingles, thats what I was thinking. December was a bad month, I had what I thought was an ingrown hair, turned out it was HSV-2. Right after being diagnosed I had a sharp pain under my left scapula. That dissipated and turned into tenderness on the left side of my body, but only on my left side. Stopping at the center of my abdominal wall and my spine. I had lower back pain down my legs. Everything went away after 10 days or so. Then my right side, sharp pain under my scapula for a day or two, then slowly dissipated to tenderness on my right side again, up to the center of my abdominal wall and my spine. More leg pain for 5 days or so, then gone. The side of my body was still tender for about 10 days, thinking maybe it's shingles I took antivirals for 3 days and after the first pill it started to go away. Could be coincidence that it was starting to go away, I'm not sure.

My doctor had always said, that sounds like something "else". But never, lets do a blood test to find out what, so I'm stuck not knowing. And just hoping all of these symptoms don't come back.

Funny enough, I also have had weird things going on with my glands. So the only spot I can truly say that I saw an outbreak was at the base of my shaft. However, initially I noticed what looked like a bubble on the head, but it just subsided on its own within 10hrs or so. One weird thing, you can try this on your own, looking straight down under my foreskin on the ridge where it meets the shaft I some times get a spot that sorta turns a light purple. Here is the twister, it doesn't feel sore if I touch it, but left alone it does, confusing? I don't see any bumps there, so I wonder if it's just cause of the cold temperatures? I have never had that feeling before being diagnosed.

Sweetheart coldsores for you both means both hsve herpes ohsv1, the denotes "oral" , which could mean she has received ur oral if two ever had oral sex, and she could have passed this oral h back to you genitally. Most test doctors use just show you have herpes but they dont tell where or which type. The location of the outbreak like genitals, does Not mean its h2.we know u hsve oral h1 usually type one when you get it at early age (we know you were not having oral sex as a child) so most oral h at early age truly is h1. If this is an issue for you and she, both get retested with proper IGG BLOOD TEST. Buy i think you and she have started a good foundation no need to disrupt this foundation. See a specialist about your penis troubles. Take care and thsnk you for responding to me :) Hugs Aces xo

Really? When I asked the doctor if it was type 1 or 2, they said 2. The outbreak I had seemed pretty common looking for what I've seen other pictures show.

I'm very protective of my girlfriend, I know blood tests haven't been very accurate with the "type". I'm so cautious with her, we use to have sex once a day, now it's once a week, and with all sorts of protection. It seems like these are my choices and not hers, but I just can't tell if I'm contagious. I don't have sensitivity/tingling in my legs, I haven't had that for about 3 weeks. I do have a few little itches and stuff here and there, so I don't know how contagious I am.

Sweety listen, you both had coldsores, therefore you are both "herpsters" THIS is great news! She has some protective antibodies built-in from already having herpes oral cold sores, but sweety So Do U :) it gives you both protections.

Im sorry it doctor lied! He assumed it to be GHSV 2 simply due TO the locations genital area, either way I'm telling you I believe you could have genital type 1 if you two practice oral pleasures, hubby and I do and I have ghsv2, my hubby is still negative for my GHSV 2. But he has tested last few years just to reassure me. See a penis doctor for your other issues honey. Hugs Aces xo

Hey let me tell u what my doctor did. I haven't had an outbreak in 23 yrs, I was having tingles on base of spine. My doctor REFUSED to test me, now THIS man is an Infectious Disease and Immunology doctor , instead he told me I was cured my h died. I was like WTF? :secruity:Short ending he have me 90 pills 5mg Xanax and walked out when he saw the mistake he made.

My point is if you and she both have h, which you both do, don't worry love. You cannot expose her to what she and you both have already. :alberteinstein:

By the way, going on 28 yrs with my lovely herpes, ghsv2, so guess I wasn't cured, Lmfao. :rolloverlaughing:

Was that during your initial outbreak? Or had you had the virus for a while and all of a sudden it just happened?

The last week has been far better then any other. I'm just over 2 months of having this, and just starting to have somewhat of a sex life again with my girlfriend.

Thanks for the replies all!
