Can I trust my test results ?

Recommended Posts

freakingout25

I have been dealing with this for over a year now and I would just like someone to look over my results and let me know what you think

Possible exposure 12/02/13

4 weeks past possible exposure 12/31/13

IGG HSV 1: 4:08 POSITIVE (I have had oral for 20 years)

IGG HSV 2: <0.91 NEGATIVE

IGM HSV 1: 1:100 HIGH TITER <1:10

IGM HSV 2: 1:100 HIGH TITER <1:10

(Dr office told me I had HSV 2 Based on this test result so I started antivirals on 01/10/13)

6 weeks past exposure 1/10/13

IGG HSV 1: DID'T RETEST WE ALREADY KNOW I HAVE IT

IGG HSV 2: <0.91 NEGATIVE

AS WELL AS NEG IGM

(DR TOLD ME IT WAS AN ERROR AND THAT I NEVER SHOULD HAVE BEEN TOLD I HAD HSV 2 AND SET ME ON MY WAY I WAS NOT CONVINCED SO I CONTINUED TO TAKE THE MEDS)

14 WEEKS TESTED

IGG HSV 1: >5.00 POSITIVE

IGG HSV 2: <0.90 NEGATIVE

18 WEEKS TESTED

IGG HSV 1: >5.00 POSITIVE

IGG HSV 2: <0.90 NEGATIVE

AND FINALLY LAST TEST WAS DONE 07/18/14 SO A LITTLE OVER 8 MONTHS

IGG HSV 1: >5.00 POSITIVE

IGG HSV 2: <0.90 NEGATIVE

I have since been diagnosed with vulvodyna and had several drs tell me I do not have this I have not had any genital sores or blisters I have however had a couple anal fissures over the last year or so they have been looked at and dr told me it was not herpes but I am still concerned. Should I test again now that is has been over a year since possible exposure? Should I trust my test result?

I would trust them yes. These fissures in/on the anus, have you been checked for hemorrhoids? I have had them for decades and having anus herpes was twice the bad in my booty! Find a doctor who will check this problem in/on the anus, there are many new topical treatments for hemorrhoids and it can ease your mind about anus herpes. Trust me it can make a world of differences in your peace of mind.

I have not been checked for hemorrhoids I feel like what the problem is is that I have vulvodyna which causes pain all around the vagina and I think the pain has moved to my anus and I keep looking for something and I may be causing these fissures myself by inspecting I know it sounds terrible lol.

It's very normal I think for all of us to try to be more intuned with our body parts and their pain. Lol, NOT terrible but necessary. Get them checked or try Preparation H suppositories. It gives much relief and :toilet: is so much better :)

I'm 99% confident that these are caused by Herpes. This is what they looked like when I first caught the virus, and in the same spots as well, although now much milder and smaller in size.  I have tested positive via swab when I first got the virus, and two times via blood test. However, since several people here are doubting my symptoms are caused by HSV, I might do another swab just to be sure. It's still good to rule anything else out beforehand.

And btw  @ayekayelle I’m sorry you’re considering divorce. I hope you are able to work it out with him. But if you’re not happy I think it’s worth taking the risk of leaving! You deserve to be happy!

Ikr! I’ll have guys be like “oh yeah you’re right, you’re not gross or less valuable but it is a deal breaker” I don’t really blame them (because I am still coming to terms with it being “not a big deal”)

It's very possible he or you were mostly a carrier. Neither one of you have to have sores all you have to do is shed.
