My boyfriend wont be intimate with me

Hey everyone, I'm at my wits end I do not know what to do. I am so hurt right now. I've only had technically 1 sex partner and it was unprotected and a few months into the relationship, I got an outbreak and was diagnosed with HSV2 via lesion test. My boyfriend stopped having sex with me or any intimacy at all for fear he will get it. He's going to get tested. He has never had any signs or symptoms of an outbreak currently or in the past nor has anyone he's been with, or so he tells me. I am terrified what if he tests a false negative or something. I know it more than likely 95% chance it has to be from him, but he's in such denial and continues to blame me for this and claims he swears he does not have it. I am so hurt and scared and upset he wont have sex with me or be intimate with me anymore until he gets this test which may not even be accurate. Please help! I don't want to lose him and now I find myself taking it out on him verbally.

As green as I still am to all this, a whole lot of people out there actually have HSV2 and do not know they do. I contracted it from my boyfriend, who did not know he had it. His symptoms were so very mild it went unnoticed. Suppressive therapy helps. I take daily Valtrex as well as daily supplements of L-Lysine 1000 mg and Zinc Gluconate 50 mg. If you lose him, he wasn't yours to begin with. Make sure to get plenty of sleep, eat a healthy, well balanced diet and avoid sugars and foods with L-arginine in it as much as possible. My second outbreak was so very mild, but the first was absolutely horrendous that I thought I wanted to be dead. I suggest you contact me privately if you would like to vent or talk. Hugs.

I'm on suppresive therapy now too. I had one outbreak it was so bad I never want it again. How did your boyfriend find out he have it? Did he get a blood test? Because that's what my guy is gonna do and im terrified it wont show up and he will never touch me again and say hes right like hes been and that I got it from somewhere else.

he got a blood test which revealed he was + for HSV2 and my doctor feels based on how my symptoms were and how the virus disseminated, he was the source. Its possible for a negative blood test to occur, despite being positive for HSV2. I think it has to do with their body suppressing the virus long enough, the titers do not show up on the test. If I remember correctly, something like 80% of people who have HSV never really show symptoms that they notice, if any at all. It is maddening to me how many people out there carry this virus and just have no idea. Stay away from sugars and any other foods that contain high amounts of L-arginine. The virus needs this amino acid to replicate and cause OBs. L-lysine is a similar amino acid chemically, but the body doesn't recognize the difference between the two and picks it up instead of the L-arginine and its attempt to replicate is futile. Its been shown to help with HSV1 but I have read enough from people that it helps with HSV2 that I decided to try. I bumped it up to a 1,000 mg three times a day during prodrome symptoms and the outbreak and it seemed, along with the Valtrex to reduce my second OB very quickly. It healed so very quickly. The one that took the longest to heal was a small spot on my inner right thigh. The one vaginal lesion and one on the outside of my vagina were gone within 3 days.

I got HSV2 from my BF 4 years ago. I was the first to have a noticeable outbreak.and I knew it was not me that was the carrier because I had just gotten out of a 16 year relationship.finally he did end up getting an outbreak...but it was a while after mine. he went and got tested and tested positive for HSV2. obviously he did not know that he was infected...he is 99% sure the girl he dated before me gave it to him. Make your bf get tested right away so he can't say you gave it to him.

A lot of people 80% carry the virus and don't even know it. He could be the same. He should be treating you with more respect right now because with him not been tested yet....he could be the infecter. How long have you been together if you don't mind me asking?

Also my bf did have an outbreak before me....but it was a real mild one so he thought it was razor drag. You man could have had a small one and thought it was something else too. Mine was bad so there was no mistaking I had something going on:eek: Male outbreaks are usually milder so easier to misdiagnose as nothing.
