Not sure

Ok I was diagnosed with genital herpes a year ago. I have not had a huge outbreak. About a month after diagnosis I had one aggressive bump. Since then I have not had any that have really made themselves known. I look semi frequently. The issue that I deal with on a regular basis (more than 7 times this year, almost monthly) is a burning sensation. It is worse when I shave my bikini area. It does not typically lead to an outbreak. Is this an outbreak in itself? I am not on meds. I am still trying to figure all this out. It took me up until VERY recently to even realize I am still the same person despite this diagnosis. I am forgiving myself and attempting to overcome anxiety. Meds may help but I do not have insurance that will cover it. What should I do. Am I having outbreaks they just don't result in typical ulcers/lesions? Can anyone help me out with a little information?

Hi @WhatDidIDo2023, hopefully all is well with you and your significant other and are still together.   Did she develop any other symptoms after you mentioned her getting itchiness? Was it determined what you had was contagious? Most likely developed a fungal disease and caused her a yeast or uti

Hi @Luna 01 I really feel it is worthwhile obtaining a proper Herpeselect test given the outcomes of the home panel test. Regardless, your current symptoms are almost certainly not related to herpes. Hopefully, your doctor can assist in resolving these.
