freaking out

so I had a one night stand last week with someone - I have never done that before.

Then I went to visit my parents - I was not masterbating the whole time. And I was in an isolated area having few showers. I tell you all this to say that my skin got really dry.

Then I went to a biz trip and went to town on myself in the hotel room. After a couple of days I noticed a sore. Normally I wouldn't think anything of it because I probably just rubbed myself raw but in this case ... I'm worried.

The sore healed itself after I slowed down ... but I'm still kinda red and I have a few spots which look more red. Can you guys tell me if I should be freaked out?

Only a doctor could tell you what is causing your symptoms.

Just because you had a one night stand doesn't mean you automatically got herpes. Even if you did, it is nothing to freak out about. You can live a normal life with genital herpes. Millions of people do. I have had it a long time and have lived a great life, including a great sex life.

You need to go see a doctor as soon as you can to get a proper diagnosis.

Good luck!

Anyone willing to be an armchair dr?

Today there are no sores just a red area on the other side of me. I'm not in any pain either before I had pain but only when I touched the sore area.

If your asking an opinion it would be best to go to STD doctor. They'll run a full scan and let you know. Better to be proactive then continue reacting.

Hi @WhatDidIDo2023, hopefully all is well with you and your significant other and are still together.   Did she develop any other symptoms after you mentioned her getting itchiness? Was it determined what you had was contagious? Most likely developed a fungal disease and caused her a yeast or uti

Hi @Luna 01 I really feel it is worthwhile obtaining a proper Herpeselect test given the outcomes of the home panel test. Regardless, your current symptoms are almost certainly not related to herpes. Hopefully, your doctor can assist in resolving these.
