Hi. I suffer with fever blisters but my husband doesn't. I thought I had a bump on my lip a couple weeks ago and performed oral sex on my husband. I'm not sure if it was a bump or fever blister. It's been a little over 2 weeks and he hasn't broken out with any sores. Whats the chance if it was a fever blister that I gave him genital herpes and would he already show signs? Thank you

You ask tough questions. There are too many answers, none of which you may ever know for certain.

1. He didn't get it from you during this encounter

2. He got it from you but will never have an outbreak because hsv1 doesn't like to be genital

3. He got it from you but won't have an outbreak until sometime in the future.

Has he ever been tested for hsv? There is a good chance he already has it, at least oral (even if has never had a fever blister).

Since you have had it a while you are past the most contagious point. If you avoid oral sex, or kissing while you have a blister or feel one coming on, you probably won't pass this to him.

      Hi @WhatDidIDo2023, hopefully all is well with you and your significant other and are still together.   Did she develop any other symptoms after you mentioned her getting itchiness? Was it determined what you had was contagious? Most likely developed a fungal disease and caused her a yeast or uti

      Been a few weeks it went away but reappeared again tiny red marks not raised spots or anything no pain or itching ,I have had all negative tests on Sti's ..

      Hi @Luna 01 I really feel it is worthwhile obtaining a proper Herpeselect test given the outcomes of the home panel test. Regardless, your current symptoms are almost certainly not related to herpes. Hopefully, your doctor can assist in resolving these.
