I was diagnosed in April with HSV-2. It was devastating initially and also very scary.. When I had my primary OB I seriously thought that I was going to have to go the emergency room! Wow! Ummm...ouch. Things have gotten better since then however and I am trying to stay positive despite the circumstances. I'm learning to cope with it and everyday I get a little bit stronger. I just wanted to share my experience and thought that maybe I can help someone else out there!

I am really a big into health and had a very close relationship with my Chocolate Protein Powder, Peanut Butter and Almond Milk...so yeah. I'm looking into Peanut Butter alternatives because...well..lol..I don't want lose my mind.

I haven't had a breakout since May and that was when I was on my period. However, I know I'm still new to this thang.

What's working for me so far...

*So far I've been on a daily suppressant (Acyclovir) and that's helped a lot. It has definitely taken some time to kick in for sure, but I think its doing its job.

*Dr. Bronner's Magic Tea Tree Soap (I swear by this stuff)

(This is what I've done the most consistently)

*****************************************************************************************

*Organic Virgin and Unrefined Coconut Oil (I've been covering my body in this stuff after I take a shower). I rub it at the base of my spine with Oil of Oregano sometimes (not all the time).

*Lemon Balm Tea from this company ** http://www.traditionalmedicinals.com/

I've also been drinking Echinacea Tea and Green Tea!

*I've also been eating a lot of Garlic*

**I've been really getting into juicing lately! I have tried juicing Bok Choy, Broccoli, and Kale together. That's all still a work in progress! Will keep you posted on that! I also have been trying to eat a LOT of veggies all together!! I love roasted Brussel Sprouts with Garlic (yummy!)

I also have tried incorporating Green Smoothies with Kefir at least everyday or every other day! I add Turmeric, Cinnamon to my Chai Tea. I also have incorporated honey as much as possible!

Following the...No Nuts, Chocolate, or Seeds Rule :( I have had a little bit of chocolate and everything was okay, but I'm scared to really go there like I used to.

*Throw a couple of Lemon Balm Capsules into my tea**

**I've also been drinking Alkaline Water 9.5+*

**Raw Coconut Water**

Thank you!!!! So much!!!! I am really active about working out, drinking protein shakes, pre workout, and also BCAAs, and was wondering if anyone else had the same kind of routine. I have been blessed enough to not experience an OB yet, I am on acyclovir as well. I was told that pretty much my life style is what has probably prevented the OBs from happening and to keep it up (Dr instructions) I

also read here that people take lysine? Well the protein supplement has like 2300. I was also told I can get a multivitamin and look for the kind that boosts the immune system. Thank you for the tips!! And I didn't know chocolate and nuts are bad for us :/

You're so welcome! We're in this TOGETHER!! I'm so happy I could have been of some help :) Yay!! I'm definitely no expert, but I can share what has worked for me so far! I also forgot to mention (this has been very important for me) to make sure to wear cotton underwear! I also just bought this Tisserand Soap with Tea Tree Oil and also Sea Buckthorn, and Avocado Oil.

Fortaleza, that's awesome!! Wow! That's great :) Good for you! What kind of protein powder do you use? Jay Robb has a really high ratio for Lysine on his Whey Protein Powders. I think it's high even on the Egg White! I've started taking Lysine as well and I find that it has been helpful, but I haven't really been taking it consistently enough to know if that's what's really making the difference for me personally! I've always considered myself to be a healthy eater, but recently I have really been trying to be really strict about it! By this I mean, like eating strictly organic fruits and vegetables! I haven't looked too much into Multi-Vitamins yet but I think I will start doing that! I've also been taking Vitamin C almost everyday! Yeah and the nuts and chocolate thing SUCKS....buuuuttt....I am determined to find a way to make it into my life again. I definitely won't be able to eat them all the time, but I'm gonna find a way to make it work ;0)

Hi guys, My name is Shelly. I'm 25 years old! I've had Herpes for 5 going on 6 years now. I'm just here hoping to learn more ways to deal with the situation and meet new people who actually know what I'm going through!  Thank you for reading! 💕

Hey @Zrozpaczona9 that looks like folliculitis to me, that’s independent of the question of herpes. The doctor is wrong in the sense that a negative IgG test is beyond reasonable doubt that you do not have herpes. It is a small percentage of people for which a false negative occurs. The doctor is right to take a swab to increase your confidence that there’s no herpes present. I’m sure you’ll have your result soon.

In this forum we will discuss does lume work Lume is paraben-free and uses several natural ingredients like Aloe barbadensis leaf juice, tapioca starch, and Maranta arundinacea root powder (also known as arrowroot powder) to control odor and sweat. One of the key Lume deodorant ingredients is mandelic acid, an AHA found in skin care products, which also has an antibacterial effect.

Ibuprofen medicine is a painkiller. Can you take ibuprofen on an empty stomach  Some people take medicine empty stomach which is not good for our health. Because painkiller kind of medicine is very strong and can harm your liver. Medicine makes many strong ingredients. like Lactose, corn starch, hypromellose, sodium starch glycolate, colloidal anhydrous silica, magnesium stearate, sucrose, talc, titanium dioxide (E171), and carnauba wax.
