What the heck is shedding

Is there anyone that's not taking anti viral medication with HSV2 has had sex with condoms and no symptoms and not pass it? Is it even possible ? Because I read shedding on the skin can transmit it, and are we shedding all the time? Can someone dummy down what it is and can you feel it?

We are not shedding all the time. In fact we rarely shed the virus. However you never know when you are shedding because you don't have any symptoms when you do. The actual terminology is asymptomatic shedding, or shedding without symptoms.

I have met many people who do not take antivirals and don't use condoms and have never passed this virus. Personally I do take daily antivirals and almost all my sex has been unprotected (their choice). I have dated many women and have never passed it along.
