Jumping in at long last!

I believe I have HSV1 in the genital area, before that I just had cold sores. I believe that the HSV1 was caused by my dozy ex partner kissing me when I had the hugest cold sore on my lip and then moving onto oral sex. I stopped him after a minute or so when I realised it wasn't clever! Apparently this is supposed to be almost impossible to self inoculate (I think is the term) but the next day or so my clitoral area was sore and inflamed. Wont bore you with the next bit but over the last 13 years I have been tested 8 times and it is always negative. I had one blood test and it was negative for everything in the world except HSV1 but I had had a cold sore on my mouth within the previous week.

I have what I think is an outbreak at the moment and it is the worst ever covering the clitoral area and deep inside. There is probably some thrush going on too. They put me on generic Valciclovir as suppressive therapy as an elimination exercise ie if I'm on that then if I have herpes then I should not have what seems to be monthly outbreaks. BUT I am still having them not as frequently though.

So I am standing here, too sore to sit! wondering if I go and make an appointment at the clinic for the 9th time. I don't think I will be, it is too sore. My suspicion is that they have actually spread the herpes around my vulval region with all the attempts at swabbing and examinations. They did a smear test along with one examination which makes me wonder if that is how the herpes now seems to be inside.

Sorry to go on but at last I have found somewhere to talk about my little secret...

My main thought at the moment is about how some people have so many outbreaks per year and some have none over a period of years. I know they say stress is a factor but my life is not bad. I do worry that my immune system is the problem and I am now going to start to look into that along with alternatives ie oregano oil, lysine, alkaline diet.

It would be great to hear any views and ideas. I will have a good read through meanwhile.

Kind regards :-)

With out testing positive its counter productive to assume that's what it is. A healthy lifestyle indeed will help. However, it's been my experience that several lubes can also cause break outs. Be careful with the Ky warming it caused a major rash

Thanks Larry.

It's just that if I think about what happened 13 years ago and what continues to happen I feel it has got to be HSV1. And the fact that it comes back to the exact same bits of skin.

At the moment, I am willing to accept that what I am calling an outbreak may be fungal or irritation. I did use lube recently because that is what the clinic recommended and they gave me a supply along with dental dams and condoms.

Are you meaning herpes outbreaks can be triggered by lubes or a rash outbreak ie not herpes can be caused by lube?

Not hsv1 just a good olfashion rash. Look up on there website it's possible your having a reaction to the lube. I know it appeared the same for us and it wasn't the virus. Stopped using the lube and all went away with some medicated cream that had been prescribed.

I am inclined to think that maybe what is happening for me at the moment is Thrush or a Rash...it ties in with the lube and symptoms are different...worse actually then when I have what I think are my GHSV1 outbreaks.

When this clears up I am going to focus on my overall health ie give up sugar, take Lysine etc and monitor the situation.

Thanks Larry :-)

Just another set of supporting articles to a potential release date in 2024 giving hope to sufferers whom the standard of care is currently worthless: Promising Progress in clinical trials for Pritelivir (herpescureadvocacy.com) HSV Treatment Readies for Approval — Precision Vaccinations News

I have not found a cheaper source for Amenalief, and I've searched high and low. I have a thread called "Pritelivir at Last" you may want to follow as I have a strong belief that It may be available to the public in the summer of 2024 and as I find new info, I update the thread immediately. Now, may I suggest a combination of drugs that several others on this forum have found to be very effective over acyclovir alone? Myself and others have found that taking 40mg of omeprazole (Tagamet @dissolvedo2 ) with 1 gram of Valacyclovir in the morning and 1 gram of Valacyclovir in the evening alone for 3 days have had profound effectiveness at stopping outbreaks in their tracks. I'd like to remind you that I am not a doctor and at best I am personal researcher for what works for me. I @lw@ys share my findings with the forum in the hopes to help others alleviate their suffering. There is another drug combo that I have tried myself as well as others on this forum have tried and that I personally feel is a much more effective for myself. This combo is 1 gram of activated charcoal with 1-gram of valacyclovir in the morning followed by 1 gram of valacyclovir in the evening alone, again for 3 days. I have found that this has reduced my outbreaks to almost only once a year and they are mild at worse. Again, just a reminder that this works for me and may not work for you but I always feel that i have to share this with anyone that cannot get this virus under control so I hope my findings can help those of you who cannot achieve relief with the standard treatment alone. The stronger anti-virals come with risks and if I can help anyone avoid those risks then by all means I feel I have done some good in this world. I only ask that you let me know if either of these suggestions work for you so that I can document it in my notes. Good luck my friend!

Hi @WhatDidIDo2023, hopefully all is well with you and your significant other and are still together.   Did she develop any other symptoms after you mentioned her getting itchiness? Was it determined what you had was contagious? Most likely developed a fungal disease and caused her a yeast or uti
