Hi everyone! I was diagnosed with HSV2 in early July this year. I started having symptoms on June 19th which was just three red areas with burning. I started taking Acyclovir and was feeling better but the tingling/weird feeling lingered, went away, and just came back recently in the same exact areas. I have been under a ton of stress lately, could that be why? Ugh! I need encouragement! :) Thanks!

Hi princess, welcome to the website.

Stress is the #1 cause of outbreaks. Also, if you just contracted this virus, your immune system is building up antibodies to fight the virus which can take several months. So until that happens you can have constant symptoms. The good news is it does get better with time.

You WILL be ok, I have been on this website daily for over 6 years and have chatted with thousands of Herpsters and many have told me that getting genital herpes changed their lives for the better. I hope you can see it that way too :)

Have you ever thought of looking for natural remedies? I have found quite a bit that is very promising a lot of folks on here who have had it for long don't really believe in the natural remedies but I do. And have seen a lot of testimonials for certain products like olive leaf extract and oregano oil. But you need to buy them from certain companies for them to really work Because a lot of these Amazon.com products are extremely diluted which is why a lot of people say they are bogus remedies.

Any info on those products would be greatly appreciated! I currently take Acyclovir, Lysine, Vitamin C, B complex, and Garlic.

i have it for over a year now. I was put on suppressive therapy, the first outbreak is the worst. It will get better as time goes on. I have #2.I start to feel pain every now and than. I take a bunch of vitamins and watch what i eat. Stress and sleep are the main factors. I know how you feel i thought it was the end of the world. You will get through this.

I would try getting a salve/balm of St.John's Wort.   I got this one from Etsy.  Very good ingredients and the redness shows there's a decent amount of SJW in it (hypericin is the compound in SJW that makes it red)

https://www.etsy.com/listing/185633871/healing-calendula-bee-balm-with-st-johns?ga_order=most_relevant&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_search_query=st.john's%20wort%20salve&ref=sc_gallery_6&plkey=7cb9afd516b3d135af602a6a91e6d99c5a4fdc12:185633871

A majority of these herbs are nevines, meaning they target the nerves.  SJW actually regenerates nerves.  And it's strongly antiviral to HSV.  Why all this talk about nerves? Because HSV is an affliction of the nerves, it erupts and damages nerves.  But anyhow, check it out.  It ships from Greece so there's a bit of a time delay in getting it but well worth the wait.

Hope you're feeling better!

Hey @Zrozpaczona9 that looks like folliculitis to me, that’s independent of the question of herpes. The doctor is wrong in the sense that a negative IgG test is beyond reasonable doubt that you do not have herpes. It is a small percentage of people for which a false negative occurs. The doctor is right to take a swab to increase your confidence that there’s no herpes present. I’m sure you’ll have your result soon.

In this forum we will discuss does lume work Lume is paraben-free and uses several natural ingredients like Aloe barbadensis leaf juice, tapioca starch, and Maranta arundinacea root powder (also known as arrowroot powder) to control odor and sweat. One of the key Lume deodorant ingredients is mandelic acid, an AHA found in skin care products, which also has an antibacterial effect.

Ibuprofen medicine is a painkiller. Can you take ibuprofen on an empty stomach  Some people take medicine empty stomach which is not good for our health. Because painkiller kind of medicine is very strong and can harm your liver. Medicine makes many strong ingredients. like Lactose, corn starch, hypromellose, sodium starch glycolate, colloidal anhydrous silica, magnesium stearate, sucrose, talc, titanium dioxide (E171), and carnauba wax.
