Have you considered taking 1 pill of St. John's Wort a day? try it for a week.

Does St. John's wort surpress symptoms or strengthen immune system?

both.

St.John's Wort... Targets the nerves, makes for a physical/environmental means of distorting HSV.

HSV damages nerves. I mean, it freaking is erupting tissue. So the natural response would be to strengthen the nerves. Also, where there are weaknesses in the nerves, is where an outbreak will occur. So strengthening them with SJW is very effective.

SJW also tonifies the immune system (acts as a kidney tonic). SJW has anti-inflammatory/cooling properties. Honestly, it's the perfect herb for hsv. biogetica.com uses SJW as their chief herb in their Hyperisinse formula (Hypersinec... Hypericum=SJW herb family name)

It has a half life of 22 hours, so you could take 1 a day and be well off. As long as you don't over stress yourself.

there is some photosensitivity. And don't take if you're taking antidepressants.

I recommend Gaia Herbs brand St.John's Wort in liquid extract capsules. Gaia Herbs is a very high quality company. Take 1 a day.

I haven't been able to find anything on toxicity of SJW. Every source says it's fairly safe. I still take a few days break from it from time to time. But it's amazing stuff.

Hmm maybe I will give this a shot over olive leaf extract but I also take vitamin b complex for stress and nerves. I wwnt s natural surpressant. I don't want to spread this and I don't want to be on anti-virals for life either

Yeah, I am not saying you won't shed the virus.

Zinc sulphate solution is one of the very few compounds that has been tested in multiple placebo controlled studies .

Don't mix it with other things. you should find the recipe on the internet or in this forum.

Apply daily at first for 3 months, for 1-2h then once a week for 1-2h, never stop!

After 3 months the section of skin that you applied it to will- if ever - get outbreaks that last 1-2 days.

I just looked it up. It's way to complicated and I don't have Bunsen burners can I just buy it somewhere ?

yes u can also buy it depending on the country you are in. that is a zinc sulphate cream ointment or solution, not zinc oxide. Look online.. your pharmacy might not have it.

This is to put on in between outbreaks, during outbreaks you can dap it with an ear bud and zinc sulphate mixed with distilled water , but don't leave it on , too risky to spread it while moving about since zinc sulphate is not an instant virus killer. So during use other medicine lotions etc.

Hi @WhatDidIDo2023, hopefully all is well with you and your significant other and are still together.   Did she develop any other symptoms after you mentioned her getting itchiness? Was it determined what you had was contagious? Most likely developed a fungal disease and caused her a yeast or uti

Hi @Luna 01 I really feel it is worthwhile obtaining a proper Herpeselect test given the outcomes of the home panel test. Regardless, your current symptoms are almost certainly not related to herpes. Hopefully, your doctor can assist in resolving these.
