Now what?

I had a blood test done and should have the results next week.

My story started in March, when I had sex with someone that I had been talking to for over a year.

I started having constant yeast infections and intense burning in my private area. I went to the doctor and he showed me the speculum and it was covered in yeast. I was prescribed diflucon and it seemed to get better.

In June I felt like I had another yeast infection but figured my monthly cycle was triggering them but this time I got one painful sore. I assumed it was a razor bump so didn't think much of it. I want to see the doctor again and she said that I had another yeast infection and that the sore was now scabbed but she said it wasn't anything to be worried about.

I started my period on July 6 and everything was normal but on July 10, I felt under the weather. I had a really bad headache, sore throat runny nose and just felt like crap. I figured I was just coming down with a summer cold so took Tylenol and slept most of the day.

But the next day, I woke up in extreme pain, my lady bits felt like they were on fire. I ran to the bathroom and grabbed a mirror to take a look. I had three canker sore looking things down there. They were extremely painful. I panicked and popped all of them. There was some clear fluid and then they started to bleed. I started applying peroxide on them to try to dry them out.

I didn't know what to do so I started googling, which almost sent me to an insane asylum. That is when I kind of figured out what it was.

The went away pretty fast, there was no scabbing, they just kind of went away.

About four days later I saw that I had a blister right above my knee and two by my other knee. Another week later, I started having extreme itching on my wrist but didn't see anything, within minutes a blister popped up and it literally disappeared right before my eyes as quickly as it appeared.

When I finally got in to the doctors I didn't have any vaginal sores. He looked at the scabbed sores on my legs but really didn't think much.

I had a blood test done and now I wait.

Sorry that my post is so long and thank you in advance for hearing me out.

Were you having ongoing sex with this partner right through to the present day? Or did you only have the sexual contact as a once off in March? Any other sexual partners since March?

Your knee and wrist issues are not related to herpes.

I only had the one encounter. I also got back together with my ex in April, we split up around 9 months ago. I know this is tmi, but I don't believe I could have got anything from my ex because he has a hard time getting an erection and when he does, he can't keep it for long. We had a long conversation and he says that he hasn't dated anyone since we broke up. He is very embarrassed about his sexual problem and says he rather not go there with anyone.

The timing for a herpes outbreak from a primary infection just isn't working here. There is certainly the possibility that this a severe yeast infection. The good news is the blood test will be very useful. You will need to be careful interpreting the HSV-1 result.

Have you ever had an oral cold sore?

Is your partner a stressed guy? Over 35? If so he probably has the extremely common condition where the muscles at the base of his penis stay tense instead of relaxing to allow blood to form an erection. Viagra is the most widely prescribed drug in the world and is of great assistance to men with this form of 'dysfunction'.

I have never had a cold sore that I can recall but I am prone to canker sores. That is what the three sores in my vagina looked like. I remember at first thinking, "why do I have canker sores in my vagina". But then the panic hit me, I started googling and the rest is history.

I read up on yeast infections and they by nature don't seem to cause sores. It had been over a month now and I still don't feel well. I am still having headaches, sore throat and have been sleeping around 10 hours every night and still struggle to get out of bed.

My vagina is so sore and has been in constant pain. I have been inserting tampons with tea tree oil to relieve the pain and keep checking myself for new sores but I haven't seen any.

He is 41 and I believe his problem has to do with his drinking. He hates his job and life in general, so he drowns his sorrows at the local pub on a nightly basis. Yes, he also has a very stressful job with long hours. I've tried to help him but he just says I don't understand. He refuses to talk to anyone about his problem and won't even consider getting viagara.

Yes, I have to wait for the blood test and try to keep my wits about me.

Can you explain to me how the time frame doesn't make sense?

Thank you so much for taking the time to answer my questions. I really appreciate your kindness.

The initial outbreak, particularly if it is a primary infection with any type of HSV, is usually a doozy. Perhaps similar to what you describe. One issue though is that it happens 2 to 7 days after infection! You infer that there was no sex from say mid April until the worse symptoms emerged mid July. That's three months!!

Plus you say it is continuing for weeks on end, again not really a sign of herpes.

But let's wait for the blood test results before proceeding any further.

This guy sounds a real twit, a blue smartie is potentially all that stands between him and wonderful sex that might contribute to recovery road and he won't swallow one?

Well, I woke up sore this morning and sure enough I have small little blisters inside my vagina. Hopefully, the blood test will clear it up for me. Does this mean I will have frequent OB's if I'm getting more sores so soon after my initial OB?

Hey @Zrozpaczona9 that looks like folliculitis to me, that’s independent of the question of herpes. The doctor is wrong in the sense that a negative IgG test is beyond reasonable doubt that you do not have herpes. It is a small percentage of people for which a false negative occurs. The doctor is right to take a swab to increase your confidence that there’s no herpes present. I’m sure you’ll have your result soon.

In this forum we will discuss does lume work Lume is paraben-free and uses several natural ingredients like Aloe barbadensis leaf juice, tapioca starch, and Maranta arundinacea root powder (also known as arrowroot powder) to control odor and sweat. One of the key Lume deodorant ingredients is mandelic acid, an AHA found in skin care products, which also has an antibacterial effect.

Ibuprofen medicine is a painkiller. Can you take ibuprofen on an empty stomach  Some people take medicine empty stomach which is not good for our health. Because painkiller kind of medicine is very strong and can harm your liver. Medicine makes many strong ingredients. like Lactose, corn starch, hypromellose, sodium starch glycolate, colloidal anhydrous silica, magnesium stearate, sucrose, talc, titanium dioxide (E171), and carnauba wax.
