Well my story, i 3 months ago was diagnosed with HS2,  YES the initial shock was the worst feeling i ever had, literally feld like soul, air, breathe, all was suckd from body for a 10 second span. I was 100% sure i got it from receiving oral sex from a person i meet nd randomly received oral from. However doc says hs2 oral is very rare,  less than 1 percent, of cases, nd because mouth isn't the preferred spot for hs2 , it sheds less ths one percent of the time, so, its an either rarer chance of getting hs2 from by recieving oral.

Which basically means i got it frm inter course with this very pretty druggie girl( lls being honest). This hsv has literally stolen my happyness from me, im a herment now,  i use to be the life of the party, im just 23, nd really had a deep love for the world.  Nd just meeting new ppl. After letting it Rob me of life for 3months im ready to love life again? I heard aftr the first year  life pretty much goes bsck to normal,  i cant wait, nd for other neebies, dnt give up hope, yes the first months aftr u find out our bad,  but hopefully u can talk to ppl on here, because keeping it in is WHAT CAUSES THE MENTAL/EMOTIONAL PROBLEMS

Welcome Levi!

Your doctor is correct, having hsv2 oral is rare and is almost impossible to spread from that location.  You could have gotten it from anyone you have ever had sex with, not just people who use drugs.

Learn all you can about this and you should feel better, it really isn't a big deal.  I have been on this website (well its predecessor) for over 6 years and have chatted with thousands of Herpsters and many of them have told me that getting genital herpes changed their lives for the better.

Thank you, i feel alot better that im talking about it, i keep it inside nd it turned into anxiety,  nd i havent left my apartmnt accept to go to wrk sense the diagnosis. I just got to start living again, ill be fine with support frm the group,

Kool, we got a community of support , let's get thru this,  most ppl whove had it for yrs are not emotional  effected at all by this, its just part of going thru the herp motions, the depression feelings, but im here, shit,  we all need sum friends we can talk to tht actually understand

If HSV2 oral is so rare then why does this forum have an image of a woman with oral herpes and the post/image is titled ORAL HSV2.

Where is this image?

That was submitted by a member on here a few years ago.  She wanted to contribute it because it is so rare.  She had never met anyone else with it, at the time.

      Hey @Zrozpaczona9 that looks like folliculitis to me, that’s independent of the question of herpes. The doctor is wrong in the sense that a negative IgG test is beyond reasonable doubt that you do not have herpes. It is a small percentage of people for which a false negative occurs. The doctor is right to take a swab to increase your confidence that there’s no herpes present. I’m sure you’ll have your result soon.

      Hey @WilsoInAus miałam dzisiaj wizytę u dermatologa, gdyż dostałam zmian w pachwinie, w trakcie wakacji nad morzem. Udałam sie tam ze zmianami w postaci strupów. Powiedział ze nie można wykluczyć opryszczki mimo negatywnego wyniku Hsv igg i zalecił wymaz z pochwy na Hsv i inne choroby. Wytłumaczyłam mu że zmiany zamieniają się w strup, ale nie ma w nich płynu, więc zalecił badanie śluzu pochwy na hsv PCR, zastanawiam się czy ma to sens, i czy wirusa można wykryć na podstawie tego badania w wydzielin z szyjki macicy.
