IM BEGING SOMEONE TO PLEASE TELL ME , How Can I Get Rid Of The Odor? Its Embarrassing & Im Tired Of Being Teased For It . I Might Kill Myself If I Don't Get Rid Of This Smell SOON !!!!!! This Might Be My Last Post ;(

Odour??? Herpes does not cause any strong odours, as far as I'm aware of...

If you are experiencing this symptom, you must see your doctor immediately. They will best advise you on what to do, and if there is a serious issue at play.

Herpes has no odor. Maybe a bacterial infection like Melli said the best advise is to check with your doctor you may have some sort of other infection that requires more care . Best wishes

Hey justice, try bathing in some Corn starch , this oodor may be from yeast or fungal. Many things can cause yeast infection, but herpes isn't the cause. Also use feminine wipes on the area after using the restrooms. Take care Aces :)

Get checked for bacterial vaginosis.  Do you have discharge also?  It's easy to Dx on site if they have any sort of lab.  Usually they rx something but try a medicated douche in the meanwhile.  It burned like hell fire on my h lesions but it cut the bacteria and the discharge and the smell.   Std clinics will check for it too.

I was told years ago NOT to use douches when you are having any discharges. These douches kill your PH Balance and can make whatever is causing this odor worse. Ask your nurse or doctor or if in college ask the campus clinic nurse or planned parenthood, any of these pprofessionals can help you sweetypie. Hugs Aces

Yes, never known H to cause odors. So sorry you've been harassed about it. I hope you've already found out what it is from a doctor and that it's being taken care of. As Ace said, please hang around. Lots to learn and lots of people to meet who understand.

I avoid douches also but my dr is the one who told me to use the douche.  It was a wed and I had to wait til mon or Tuesday for lab to come back before he would rx anything other than acyclovir and the BV I had was raging and worsening my hsv outbreak.  It was misery for 5 more days.  So I tried the douche and it did give some relief.  He then rx creme metranazole antibiotic.  I think I still have BV but it's not nearly as bad.

      Hey @Zrozpaczona9 that looks like folliculitis to me, that’s independent of the question of herpes. The doctor is wrong in the sense that a negative IgG test is beyond reasonable doubt that you do not have herpes. It is a small percentage of people for which a false negative occurs. The doctor is right to take a swab to increase your confidence that there’s no herpes present. I’m sure you’ll have your result soon.

      Hey @WilsoInAus miałam dzisiaj wizytę u dermatologa, gdyż dostałam zmian w pachwinie, w trakcie wakacji nad morzem. Udałam sie tam ze zmianami w postaci strupów. Powiedział ze nie można wykluczyć opryszczki mimo negatywnego wyniku Hsv igg i zalecił wymaz z pochwy na Hsv i inne choroby.
