medication causing 'limbo'

Well I have been a genitil herpe sufferer for over 25 years. Almost every month I have an attack...except the 5 years I was on paxil when younger.  I have chronic anxiety from stress and compromised immune system due to cancer ( survivor) and massive food allergies which causes outbreaks. Now that I am older Paxil seems to not help. tried it again for 9 weeks, and began smoking and drinking again due to nervousness. ....so I stopped just a couple weeks ago.  Was put on Valacyclovir and now I am in the middle of an attack, and it seems to be in limbo...again, as to mean that it won't finish completeing....so I am in constant pain . The lesions appear on my leg, and until the lesions comes out completely, I am in very bad pain.    I always know when I am getting an attack, because I get lower back pain..feeling sick....then leg pain, then once the sore does manifest, it in itself hurts some, but the major leg pain is gone.   The medications seems to put these attacks in limbo...so they don't carry out. I usually stop the meds, and suffer through till the end. Then start the meds again hoping it won't happen again. Doctor is of no help. Says " the meds should make the outbreaks less and a shorter time."  Right....lol   Anybody else have this 'limbo' problem when taking the meds for genatil herpes?

Hi! When I had my initial OB in June, I took the Acyclovir and it made me feel better. My NP started me on the preventive dose and I took it and still had constant prodome symptoms! I just recently stopped taking Acyclovir due to the acne and back pain that it caused, and as soon as I stopped taking it, the lingering OB/prodome symptoms disappeared. I wish I had stopped the med sooner!

Hey @Zrozpaczona9 that looks like folliculitis to me, that’s independent of the question of herpes. The doctor is wrong in the sense that a negative IgG test is beyond reasonable doubt that you do not have herpes. It is a small percentage of people for which a false negative occurs. The doctor is right to take a swab to increase your confidence that there’s no herpes present. I’m sure you’ll have your result soon.

In this forum we will discuss does lume work Lume is paraben-free and uses several natural ingredients like Aloe barbadensis leaf juice, tapioca starch, and Maranta arundinacea root powder (also known as arrowroot powder) to control odor and sweat. One of the key Lume deodorant ingredients is mandelic acid, an AHA found in skin care products, which also has an antibacterial effect.

Ibuprofen medicine is a painkiller. Can you take ibuprofen on an empty stomach  Some people take medicine empty stomach which is not good for our health. Because painkiller kind of medicine is very strong and can harm your liver. Medicine makes many strong ingredients. like Lactose, corn starch, hypromellose, sodium starch glycolate, colloidal anhydrous silica, magnesium stearate, sucrose, talc, titanium dioxide (E171), and carnauba wax.
