Cold sores or not?

I believe my first CS was last year when i got a flu then my upper lip swell, then bam a single  sore on my upper lip (at that time i thought its just food allergy but right now i think that it was a CS) then after a week or so it healed then i got this dry patch that never goes away until last month.

Last month, I got this burning/ itchy sensation around my mouth/my lips, under my nose for 2 days then clear  to pus-filled whiteheads/pustules erupted on my chin (1mm below my lips) and my mustache area. i have hard tiny whiteheads around my lips.  What confuses me is that theyre not in clusters and not on my lips. Ive been using chapstick religiously to soothe my dry lips. Im afraid if this will be a classic ob that i dont have anything topical to use since abreva and the likes are not available here.

I have read from a blog that sometimes they may look like acne (herpetic acne?).?

Is it possible to have all this warning signs and not have blisters? Or those pustules are the OB.?

Do contraceptive pills triggers OBs? Coz i may have PCOS tho i havent gone to my gyne yet im sure she will advice me to take some.

I havent talked to anyone about this s/ss ive been experiencing And I havent done any bloodwork... afraid of te doctors..

Only a doctor will be able to tell you if what you are experiencing is a cold sore.  From what you describe it could be this virus or any  number of things.

Yes it is possible to get warning signs and not have blisters.  And hormone changes can affect your immune system which might trigger an outbreak but not everyone who is on birth control gets outbreaks.

Don't be afraid of a blood test, they are very safe and accurate.

Good luck!

Typically sores inside your mouth are canker sores but not all the time.  I have no idea if what you have is hsv or not.  Given its location I would guess canker, but hsv can cause sores in the mouth too sometimes.

Sorry I can't be of more help to you.  Please show this to a doctor.

Hi @WhatDidIDo2023, hopefully all is well with you and your significant other and are still together.   Did she develop any other symptoms after you mentioned her getting itchiness? Was it determined what you had was contagious? Most likely developed a fungal disease and caused her a yeast or uti

Hi @Luna 01 I really feel it is worthwhile obtaining a proper Herpeselect test given the outcomes of the home panel test. Regardless, your current symptoms are almost certainly not related to herpes. Hopefully, your doctor can assist in resolving these.

I did notice they stoped selling the one I bought it was a 7 panel test for 7 std but now they got the 6 panel and hsv is not on it but they do collect blood and pee and you send in to a laboratory
