Brazilian wax with ghsv1?

I've really wanted to get a Brazilian was since i always got them done prior to my diagnosis with genital hsv1. However, I haven't had a known OB since my first and don't want to cause another one by waxing. Do you think it will cause so much irritation that it would lead to an OB or do you think it's ok?

It really depends on several things.  One being how healthy your immune system is, and another is how long you have had it.

I have met many women on this website over they years who wax and never have an outbreak.

Good luck!

I have had them since my diagnosis and I haven't had any issues down there. For me I just worried if everything was alright at the time of the wax and then of course after, if the wax was going to cause any issues. Worries that didn't need to be condsidered before but do now, super lame! I know for me, I will always have those concerns with every wax. But overall, it was fine.

Hi @WhatDidIDo2023, hopefully all is well with you and your significant other and are still together.   Did she develop any other symptoms after you mentioned her getting itchiness? Was it determined what you had was contagious? Most likely developed a fungal disease and caused her a yeast or uti

Hi @Luna 01 I really feel it is worthwhile obtaining a proper Herpeselect test given the outcomes of the home panel test. Regardless, your current symptoms are almost certainly not related to herpes. Hopefully, your doctor can assist in resolving these.
