How can I tell if I'm having another?

Recommended Posts

I had my first outbreak in September and holy crap it hurt. I only had 2 small leisions but they were excruciating.

Since then every time I feel a tinge I worry it's an outbreak. I obsess over my vulva sometimes trying to determine if I see one or if it's the light or an ingrown hair.

Today I noticed an itch and looked down, in one of the same spots I had the initial lesion I have a very small lump and open looking blister, but it only itches, doesn't hurt. I guess this is my second outbreak. How can I tell?

I'm leaving for vacation tomorrow morning at 4am. I don't have a prescription (I know, should have gotten one to have on hand.) How important is it to get the drugs? I feel like I missed the window of opportunity and getting drugs will be a giant hassle and require an extra cab ride or whatever. Uhhhhhg.

If you aren't having sex it's ok the OB will just last longer. Lemon balm is good to put on it or coconut oil, aloe Vera, garlic, apple cider vinegar ! Apply any of these several times a day. I had the same problem. Obsessed over everything and didn't know if I was getting an OB or what to expect. My OB since have all been different and in different places, red spots, a bump. I assume these are herpes. I have not had a sore or any prodome tho. I always have anti virals on hand incase. I started taking them daily again as I am getting these minor OB once a month and I am having sex!!!!

Hi @WhatDidIDo2023, hopefully all is well with you and your significant other and are still together.   Did she develop any other symptoms after you mentioned her getting itchiness? Was it determined what you had was contagious? Most likely developed a fungal disease and caused her a yeast or uti

Hi @Luna 01 I really feel it is worthwhile obtaining a proper Herpeselect test given the outcomes of the home panel test. Regardless, your current symptoms are almost certainly not related to herpes. Hopefully, your doctor can assist in resolving these.
